I'm kind of in the middle of the road here. Like a 3 star or 4 star. Maybe a 3.5 star to compromise with myself. Not sure but may change it back and forth. The first time I heard about this place is from my best friend Todd C. He and his family usually go to Sahara in Pasadena on Colorado Blvd but he saw this one since he lives in Ontario right up the street. So he asked his grandparents if they would like to venture out this way to try this place. So we have a table of like 10 or so with my friends' wife and her family. His grandparents eat early so we were here like around 3PM for dinner. We were promptly seated of course since dinner service didn't actually start. We order appetizers and entrees. The taboule and hummus is excellent with the pita. I definitely like the olives and the garlic sauce. As the appetizers were slowly disappearing, the entrees arrive. I think I ordered the lamb or lamb/beef mix with fries. I had the rice on my second visit. The staff were attentive since we were one of two tables in here at this hour. They even helped serve the birthday cake after the meal. Our second visit was closer to dinner service where the restaurant is packed. Another birthday of couse and we ordered pretty much about the same thing. I think it was a lunch special thing they served us before but now they are telling us there is a set menu for dinner. That was like triple what we wanted to pay and complained about it. They allowed us to order the same things we had the last time but service was lacking because it was a full house. As we were trying to wrap up our dinner, the band was just about finished setting up. The set dinner was to cover the night for the price because most of the patrons stayed for the live entertainment and dancing. The third time we came here or tried to come here, we called ahead of time and they said they weren't open until after 5PM for dinner service. If I didn'tknow any better, I was starting to think they didn't want us to return to this restaurant but they really didn't know who was calling or even remember us at all. We came here after 5PM anyways since we were hungry and was already wanting Mediterranean food. We've been talking about coming here again but have been trying other places around like Grapevine in La Verne and a place off of Mountain Ave. and the 210 freeway. We thought it was a sit down restaurant when it was more of a take-out fast food type setting. We still sat there and ate. I'll have to find that place to review.

This place has potential if they weren't a bunch of thieves! Saturday night was my Third and last time here. Each time I've been to this place they have added something extra to the bill and we have to waste 20 mins yelling over the music, explaining to the waiter that we did not order that extra appetizer or whatever else they feel like padding our bill with.So this last time was just too much. On top of the food we ordered they tried to tack on a $20 per person "entertainment Charge" WTF! Oh and $26.99 for Hookah are you kidding me!!

I totally just copied and pasted this message from me to Tim :) The only thing great about LayaLeena is that it has my full name in the restaurant name spelled correctly! Every time I tried to go there (twice) there was crazy valet parking and mad cover charge of $20 just to hookah. And then there was some lame band! It wasn't that great but I didn't think I could write a good review since I've never actually made it inside the doors! I just park and then change my mind! I think Grapevine is waay better :)I'm adding more...I don't know who they think they are! They have the potential to be a really great place! And I'm a sucker for Persian places!! So I think they need to kill the cover charge, get a DJ spinning some Persian and hip hop music, and bust out the mango and mint hookahs!

This has been by far the worst club that I have ever been to in my life.Firstly I ordered bottle service, where I had a bottle of black label with the addition of 2 hookas. My party of 4 were not hungry and did not want to eat, but instead insisted on just getting a plate of vegetables. I was charged for some "entertainment service" which does not make sense when the owner of the place insists on getting up and sings, for the appearance of him and his voice is extremely irritating where the customers look at each other wondering what the hell is going on. He is better off sitting down smoking a hooka rather than trying to run the show. These owners should just hire an experienced manager who knows the business, for the more they try to manage the place the faster that its going to close down. And if your wondering about the bill, it was 350 dollars for a bottle and 2 hookas and a plate of vegetables. I have been to top notch places in Orange County and know what the definition of what bottle service is. I do not get charged a damn entertainment fee and secondly I do not get charged for a gratuity fee if the party is less then 6 people. My advice to you, get a manager and promotors and stay out of the business as far as you can.
