When I was in college, I always ventured over to Claremont Tobacco House whenever I needed some fine smokables. I don't know much about cigars, but they do have a walk-in humidor. So, if you're into that kind of thing, you can probably find something acceptable. The cigarette selection is decent, including Nat Shermans, some European brands, cloves, and the more basic stuff too. The pipe tobacco selection is also decent, comprised mostly of in-house blends stored in large glass jars. You can buy whatever quantity you want. There's also a small assortment of pipes (not THAT kind) and hookahs.I'd only give the Claremont Tobacco House three stars because it really is just decent. The cigarette selection is sufficient, but only one step up from a gas station. The rolling tobacco selection is crap-- they've only got Bugler and Samson, if I remember correctly. Finally, I wish they had more pipe tobacco in tins in addition to their own blends. Why four stars instead of three, then? They've got a bunch of awesome hats. Yes, I have a soft spot.

This was one of my favorite haunts. But I must sadly report that it is no longer in operation. The owner had a large sale and the store closed. They did have an increasing selection of cigarettes and the owner would order cartons of whatever you wanted pretty cheap. The cigar selection was also fantastic as well as the pipe tobacco and they had very nice quality pipes. The owner was so friendly too.RIP Claremont Tobacco House
