I totally agree that this place is a hidden treasure! I work for MG church and we just moved our office upstairs from Excalibur and decided to try the place out after a looong day of unpacking. I couldn't decide if I should write a review or not because it feels I am revealing a really great secret. The Hookah was sooo yummy (white peach and blueberry grape are amazing), the atmosphere is very relaxing but most importantly the service was amazing. Everyone that worked there came to our table to talk with us and they were always there taking care of our needs before we even asked. I will be back to this place again and again. and now they have booze (wine and beer only, but a good selection) LOVE ITTT!!!

This place is truly amazing. The customer service is like no other. My coworkers and I were having a night out in Hillcrest - we ate at Corvette Diner and shopped. We happened to walk by this hard-to-see alley entrance to a Hookah Lounge. I and two of my colleagues had never tried hookah before and the others in our group were enthusiastic about it, so we decided to go.We were immediately greeted by a very nurturing and friendly middle aged woman who I assume is the owner. I still do not know her name, but she is what makes the place for me - it feels like home. They have a lounge section with a bar serving beer and wine - the lounge features a lot of small tables, cushions, poufs, etc. It is super comfortable and a nice place to chill with friends. There are also two seats at the bar, which are more intimate and ideal for a date. The first time was so much fun that we went back two more times as a work group and I have returned with friends and on a date before. On Friday and Saturday nights they have belly dancing and live music - the performers pull members of the audience, even the shy ones, and get them dancing.Their shisha that we found most tasty was mint/lemon (together), white peach, pomegranite, strawberry and passion fruit. We nicknamed passion fruit "Granny" because it smells and tastes like an elderly woman's perfume and nothing like passion fruit, but it was still super good.I try to go here at least once a month. Their prices are reasonable and their customer service is legendary. They make you feel like part of the family - sitting in your own living room. This is a hidden jewel.

This place is pretty good but the cigars are kinda crappy. The selection isn't that great but there are some really nice people here. The service was excellent. They just need to have some better cigars in stock. All of the cigars I get here are stale.

This is an off shoot of the existing Excalibur in the Clairemont Mesa area. This place is tucked back off the street behind a hair salon. If you don't know it's there, you're going to walk right by it. Once you find this place, you'll see that it has a large walk-in humidor with a good selection of cigars. Overall, I like this place. It's a hookah lounge too. In additon to the cigars and hookahs that will rot your lungs, they also serve beer, wine , AND liquor to make sure your liver doesn't get away unscathed. The lounge area has a couple of tables outside. The inside has large comfy leather chairs and sofas. There are tables for the hookahs and ash trays.Lastly, the service is friendly. It wasn't too busy when I stopped in to meet a couple of my friends. Final notes: $15 for a hookah. Parking sucks.

I have to say this place serves the WORST hookah i have ever had (Yes even worse than sinbads). The hookah section is like sitting in a living room. They have no idea how to make a hookah. They put a coal right on top of the sheesha (no foil or anything). There was so much water in the base it was impossible to smoke. We stayed 8 mins and left. The owner did not even bother to ask why we were leaving so soon. Biggest waste of time and money ever.

My husband smokes cigars to relax and divest himself of the Monday through Friday aggravation he calls work. Throw in a beer or two and he comes home happy. He frequents the Excalibur on Miramar Road, so we decided to try this location. We stopped in last Sunday so he could have a cigar and a beer and ended up staying for two hours. This place is cool! It's a hidden gem of relaxation right in the center of Hillcrest. There is a club feel to it with leather couches and plenty of places to sit and enjoy a smoke. There is also a hookah lounge area that is a different room with a long Turkish divan. They even do coffee and tea which is more traditional when smoking a pipe. The service was great, Matt is very friendly and made us feel welcome. He knows his cigars and can steer you in the right direction for a good smoke.

Belly Dancers? Really come on...how can i not be apart of that. I have never been on a Saturday and never got to experience the fiesta happening in this little hidden lounge. It's sandwiched between Jet Rhys and some other unknown buildings. The owners are more welcoming then my own family! :) They love all the business and show it. Last night for hookah I had the margarita and sour apple combo flavors. I think I still reek of it. In the best way possible. Tons of seating and usually pretty slow during the week. If you like hookah lounging I say give it a go.
