How can a place like this survive in this current economic condition? The service is terrible, and a $5 cover charge is crazy considering it is empty inside. The management staff doesn't have much experience in the nightlife industry because their business practices drive people away. The spot is nice, and the beer was cold, but at 11:30pm on a Friday I expected more people. Especially since I spent $5 to get in. There were only two tables full, and the manager on duty had no customer service skills. To make it in the nightlife you first need people to know about your establishment, and second, people to actually want to come. Being in the nightlife industry I am going to steer clear away from this spot until they make some changes. DO NOT DRIVE PEOPLE AWAY...MAKE THEM COMFORTABLE, AND MAKE THEM STAY. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am of this place.

This restaurant is new and has great potential. Its tastefully decorated with an upscale atmosphere. They are offer a variety of special nights ie. Kareokee, Arabic nights, Salsa nights and Reggae nights. Their mediterranean cuisine is good and reasonably priced. They have live entertainment ranging from belly dancers on Friday to singers and musicians on Sundays.

All attempts at invigorating the nightlife in Bonita has failed miserably. The Bonita Store (which used to be Baja Rockin Lobster) tried it for a while as Dolce. That didn't work. Now we have another neighborhood restaurant trying for a bourgeouis make-over. This place used to be called Oasis, and back then it was a little more laid back. However, now if you want to hang out there on a Friday night you have to pay $5 at the door. The cover wouldn't be a big deal, but the place is completely empty and the service sucks ass. They should be paying people to come in, not the other way around. I sat there maybe 10 mins or so waiting for the waitress to come and get me another beer, apparently she was too busy smoking or "kicking it" to actually work. The hookah coal (yes its a hookah bar too) also burnt out and the coal dude didn't come by with a fresh coal until we said something. Thankfully we were already buzzing and into our own little conversations to pay much attention to the tards that run this joint. Also, they only serve a limited selection of beer and wine (no hard liquor!) which was what finally did it for me. Although they try to market the joint like it is for professionals and upwardly mobile people, the only people there on a Friday night were underage guys. All together there was only 15 people (including the 3 of us) when we left at 1am and we were there for a good 3 hours or so.This place is wack: everything is overpriced, service sucks, and they try to act like they're a downtown venue. If they don't change something, it's going to end up like Dolce. A memory.

This place has only been open for a few months so its not that known yet. They have a wide selection of wine and beer. No full bar at the moment but from my understand, they are getting their liquor license in 2 weeks. Food was great and if you just want to hang out, they also do hookah.

A very beautiful classy place. This place just opened its doors about a week ago. They have terrific med food and the hookah is good aswell.Sapphire is open from 10am-2amThis place is great to go to around 10pm and enjoy some dinner and a hookah out on the great patio. It's all ages during the day but after 9pm it's 21+In a few weeks they are going to have live entertainment which we all anticipate.

I've been to several hookah bars in San Diego and this is by far the worst. Its 21+ after 9pm which is fine.. but they also enforce a cover charge. Once you get situated and order a hookah, thats when the experience begins to tank. First of all, they REFUSE to let you use their tongs. For any veteran hookah smoker, we all know that coals must be ashed periodically to keep the hookah going. On top of that they only allow 3 people to a hookah otherwise they charge you 10.00 or they encourage (or force) you to order another hookah. We were there on a wednesday night and the place was empty yet they still kept a watchful eye on us. The music was great but the overall service from the staff was horrible. I will not be returning any time soon

This should be about 4.5 stars. They still haven't had their grand opening so I know that they are working out the bugs, and I saw them this evening. First, they are going to start having a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights, so they have a security guard at the door checking ID's. On a Wednesday night. OK, then the security guard proceeds to tell us that they will start to enforce a dress code soon, so we should know that flip flops will not be allowed. Hmmm, ok, that's fine, noted. So we go in and order and then everything is fine. The food was great, the interior is sooo cool looking , that you just get into a vibe. The servings are pretty good sized. So just know that they are only open for dinner, from 4pm to 2am. The kitchen serves dinner until midnight and after it's more of a happy hour menu. Another upside. They are in Chula Vista, and open to serve food until 2 am! I love that! Plus they have a pretty good sound system and they were playing some good music. I was very impressed with this restaurant. We went at lunch, so it wasn't very busy. O.K. we were…

Went there last night after Ono's Sushi and it was a chill spot. Small intimate and relaxing. Im not really a expert on hookah but the Sapphire one was really good. They were playing a cd but was good almost like a cliub haha. Heard they will be getting a full liquor license in a month and also have dj's play every now and then. Ended up meeting the owner and chopping it up with her. Possible Armory function? Who knows.

This place is close to my home, so I went with my friends expecting an amazing experience like I have come to expect at other hookah lounges in the past.We were immediately greeted at the door by a very intimidating looking bouncer who demanded IDs.My friend and I are both under 21 so we were seated on this patio, which makes sense, they don't want to accidentally serve a minor alcohol. BUT the patio was super cold, they did not have any kind of heaters there, there was very bad service and their prices are high. Our hookah ran out of tobacco and we had to go and find a waiter and it was still another 10-15 mins before he came back with more. And they were NOT busy.I would never go back again. If you want a cozy, fun, inexpensive hookah experience go to Excalibur Hookah Lounge in Hillcrest. It is a family owned business, has belly dancing and is run by a super nurturing woman who reminds me of my Mom. You just want to hug her.

So what do you do on a restless Sunday night in Chula Vista? Over beers at the Eastlake Chili's my friends and I decided to head to Sapphire Lounge (formerly known as Oasis). It was supposedly "reggae night". This isn't just a coffee house, it is also a hookah lounge. I was expecting live music but it ended up being a DJ...which was ok as the place was really small for a stage and band.Sapphire Lounge doesn't have their liquor license but they do have a beer and wine one. Interesting enough they still serve cuba libre's and other mixed drinks but instead of real vodka or rum they use wine based vodka and rum. Not sure what that is exactly but the drink prices are pretty steep considering it isn't the real stuff. I suggest getting beer or a bottle of wine. The hookahs are a little expensive but if you do get one I suggest the sapphire.Overall the vibe was very chill and I will be back to check it out again.

Our waitress was the unhappiest piglet ever: sullen, rude and graceless. The hummous was plain and overpriced but acceptable. The cover charge, the attitude, the unnecessary waiting was not. I'd sooner smoke my own shit out of a corpse-bong than return.

They have their liquor license now, so they have cocktails now. Pleasant staff, friendly and attentive.

Well, as far as our experience goes... it was an okay night. We got there while the dinner crowd was eating and the hookah crowd was just barely getting started. At this time they still haven't received their liquor license so my friends had beers instead. Me?. . .well, I had the Turkish coffee and ate it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Yum! The bitter-sweet small size coffee (espresso like) was a nice compliment to the ice cream. Nice chill spot. We just wanted to chillax, ya knaw? After a few chats with my peeps and cool bartender...we decided to bounce. The belly dancers were just gettin' started. As we were on our way out, the bouncers started to line the front. I didn't know it was a club like that. But I got my Turkish coffee and ice cream, so I'm out - like trash on a Thursday.
