What's a Tuesday without Lei?? If you've never been here, please go on a Tuesday night. It's busy enough, but not absurd and it's half off signature drinks all night along with a specific column on the menu also being half off (first tuesday of the month, first column half off - and so forth).Their food is wonderful but the drinks are special. It's a great atmosphere and definitely better with groups. Food is very sharable as well. The vibe is like The Abbey meets San Diego... or well the old Abbey in Weho (before it got all clubby). It's chill but still has a good enough vibe to be a fun night. Go there with conversations and laughter in mind. They have table seating, cabana seating, bar seating and two fire pits. Not a huge place, but I'm always surprised at how many people they can fit in there. This is a must!

Came here on a Sunday to hear the DJ. Had a great time with my friends and the drink specials were great. Food was ok on this day.Brought another friend back last Saturday. Not a fan of the food. 0 out of 4 dishes. Coffee was not hot and no refills were not offered until after our check had arrived.

Words that come to mind when I think of Lei Lounge: posh.. and trendy.  I went for the first time with my sister about two years ago, and then I went back for my friend's birthday in May.  I think it's a great place to host a party/get-together.. but the drinks are OK and the food is hit or miss.  To be honest, I think you're mostly paying for the decor and ambiance...I stuck with aloe vera collins the whole night, because I tried a lot of my friends' drinks and they just weren't that good.  "Aloe vera collins?" you ask.  Sounds gross, but don't you worry your pretty little head off.. it's delicious!  Shared the crab mac-n-cheese with the bf ("you had me at mac-n-cheese").. it was yummy!  You honestly can't go wrong with mac-n-cheese, so adding crab was a good decision by the chef at Lei Lounge.  I remember my other friend had the crab empanada and he was sorely disappointed :( "anyone wanna trade?"Why 3 stars?  Well, it's far from where I live.. and parking is a bitch.  It's not a place that I would immediately think of when I'm thinking of going out to dinner.  And I don't have any kind of hankering to go back any time soon.  It left a good impression, but not a great one.  Oh, I will say though that service was really good that night.. especially considering we had probably 20 people in our party.  We left a nice tip!

I came for the Saturday brunch as advertised on the website and came to a closed door that said Saturday Brunch will start in Spring 2010. Booooo!!!!This place needs to be open more for as good as it is. Lei Lounge I curse you for having such wonderful Sunday brunches! I always feel like I am on… A sort of gay restobarclunge thing?  Lei seems to have a crisis of identity going on.  Like a high class hooker with a conscience, Lei will do anything for you, but it'll cost you and it won't be too good.  Walking in, you enter a dark bar the size of a shoebox.  We went on a Saturday evening and it was packed.  Lots of yuppy 25+ers downing their liquid self-esteem.  In order to get to the restaurant, you gotta navigate through the often drunk and clumsy crowd to the back.  Once there, you're greeted with a breath of fresh air and a cabana lined patio with fire places and lots of tables.  Oh, and plastic leis of course.  The whole area is very chic with lots of white and cool lighting, including floating imagery projected on one wall.  We didn't get to eat in a cabana, but they looked pretty tight, if a little gimmicky.  Continuing with the identity crisis, the food is frenchitaliancalimexithainese.  Quesadillas, ahi, mac cheese, burger, crab cakes, cuban chicken, sweet potato fries, you get the idea.  It's a freakin orgy of food...but like an orgy, it just isn't as good in reality as it seems in your head.  There's just too many things to get distracted with that everything comes out a bit flat.  Satisfying sure, but not as outstanding as the menu makes it sound.  Highlights: Philly Cheese Steak (duhh) and Crab Mac n Cheese w/ Lobster (needed more of the crab n lobster though).  Lowlights: Sweet potato fries and Griled Cheese (should've been called mushrooms with a side of grilled cheese).  It's a cool place to chill though, and I'd go back again for the outdoor environment.  Just don't expect great great food. This is probably one of my favorite places to go for food and drink. To find it, go down Park Blvd and look for the University Heights sign. Near there is this building lit up in red. You can't miss it. There isn't anything around there quite like it.I love the decor of this place. If you go out at night for drinks and late night snacks, I recommend arriving after 11pm and ask for a cabana in their outdoor bar. Lei lounge is one of those places where people go to be seen. The crowd is beautiful and very mixed/diverse. I just love the atmosphere....the lights, the palm trees, the lounge music. There's also hookah service if you are into that. This is the epitome of what Southern California night life is all about. The drinks are great. My friends typically order the white chocolate macchiatto, the hawaiian mojito, and the gorgeous geisha. For late night snacks, I love the calimari and Kobe beef burgers.Lei's is also great for brunch. They have a really good salmon benedict and Thai beef salad.Good food, good drinks, great company!!I like this place. There's nothing like getting hammered in a cabana w/ a bunch of gay's. I LOVE THE GAY'S !The drinks are FAB. The dessert is FAB.[Next time-I'm making out in one of those Cabana's].meka leka hi mekka hiney ho.

I went there on Tuesday July 21st during Happy Hour. You can't beat the 1/2 price martinis as well as I believe only on Tuesdays, they have a the column of the menu that matches what Tuesday of the month it is (i.e. 3rd column for 3rd Tuesday of the month) ..is also cheaper priced food items for that particular Tuesday of the month! My mom and I had some shitake mushroom and asparagus spring rolls (excellent) and mushroom and goat cheese flautas - also excellent. I had a "gorgeous geisha" -- damn good. strawberry liqueur, lychee juice, topped with champagne. I also had a "Madrid Mojito" - pineapple, rum, mint, liqueur 43 -- also very tasty. My mom loves the Pomegranate martinis. atmosphere is great! Can't wait to go back and have some more tasty martinis :) Looking forward to the pink diamond and the bellini

Before visiting, several friends said, " Lei Lounge is SO fun. You'll have a great time if you go. It's the best place ever."  I wasn't sure how an establishment could be so much fun! Well people, it's true: Lei Lounge is awesome! A friend had her bday party there so rented out the 2 fire pits. They were fantastic. Great atmosphere. Very laid back crowd. Great drinks that aren't too expensive. After our time was up at the pits we moved to a cabana. It was also great! I recommend Lei Lounge to anyone who wants to have a relaxed and fun evening. Lots of pretty people to look at and I love that it's open-aired. Good times at Lei Lounge. I'll return.

It is absolutely mandatory for my friends and I to have a girls' outing at Lei Lounge every month or so. The atmosphere is gorgeous and the staff is pretty nice on the eyes too! We usually come on a Saturday during the Happy Hour (5-7pm) and grab a cabana. We're typically there to drink, so I really can't comment on the food other than the hummus plate is our go-to for snacking. As far as drinks go, there's something to please everyone. We start off sharing a pitcher of the white sangria, then we move on to our own individual cocktails. My absolute fave is the Aloe Vera Collins, but the Hawaiian Mojito and the Pink Diamond are delish as well. Hm, it's been a little while. I think it's about that time for another Lei Day!
