I'm upping their score because the owner's son contacted me and asked it there was too much garlic and if they should tone it down. I liked that they care about their customers and appreciated constructive criticism. I don't think they need to tone down their garlic because some people really like that sauce- I just know for me personally, I'll make sure and not eat it in my car in the future. Don't plan on being within a 10 foot radius of anyone if you get the garlic, uh, I mean chicken…

La Sajj is one of the most delicious Mediterranean restaurants I have eaten at. I believe it is mostly Lebanese. They have really amazing food and really good prices. It is not the nicest decor but I've seen much worse. The owner is always there and ready to please. My boyfriend and I come here at least every other week. sometimes more often. The rice, fries, salad are very tasty. My favorite thing to order is the Kefta Kebab and the Kibbeh for an appetizer. His is the Mixed Grill (comes with chicken, beef and kefta). Also, they have flat bread with cheese and spinach that we order quite often....AMAZING! We also get the Falafel. Oh, pita and hummus comes with every meal.Everything tastes very fresh and is seasoned perfectly. Everyone we have had meet us there has been pleased with the food. It's a little bit off of the beaten path but we want everyone to go so it will stay in business. La Sajj has also "The best Mediterranean restaurant in Riverside" banner from the Press Enterprise at the entrance.

Great Mediterranean food in Riverside. My girlfriend and I have been to this restaurant before and after the change in ownership and believe the food to actually have improved. The man and woman who own the restaurant are very sweet and even gave us a free baklava! Last visit I had the Chicken and Kafta Kabob, the chicken and beef were both very good with hummus and a nice little salad with plenty of fresh tomatoes. My girlfriend had the Schwarma plate and the pictures you see are exactly what you get, good serving sizes excellent flavor. We also has the babaganouch with pita bread which was also very good. I encourage everyone to please visit this quaint little establishment and help keep this type of business' alive in Riverside!

we tried to go there for lunch and the place was closed despite the "yes we're open" sign in the window and posted hours of 11am to 9pm. i just tried their website and it looks like they're trying to turn it into a nightclub where you smoke hookah and listen to black eyed peas. i'll keep searching for a decent schwerma in riverside.
