Really expensive, $16 per a bowl, but this was the first time I used a KM and the people who work there are all in the same family, and are all really friendly. I doubt i'll be going there as much as i have been in the past, because i'm buying the same hookah they use there for my own personal use, but it's one of those places you have to go to if you've got a big group of people. Another good thing about them is they have a rewards program, and i'm a sucker for that kind of stuff.

First of all, I'm not a lover of hookah. It strikes me as even more pointless than cigarettes. This hookah lounge was alright, despite that. It's a tiny hole in the wall in a small strip mall. They have comfy couches and chairs. The owner was very nice and personable. They offer decks of cards so you can play while inhaling your mango-tango or whatever. It's a complete cockfest, too. Two friends (both under 21 and unable to get into bars, which is probably why they think it's cool) and I were the only girls, so there was definitely a creepy vibe. The guys at the next table kept eavesdropping on our conversation and would interject when they heard something reasonably titallating. Mildy annoying, but equally amusing.Blah. It wasn't good, and wasn't bad.

The hookah is always good n the owner is friendly. My only problem with the place is that I don't like people smoking cigarettes inside the room.If you've got the couches n a hookah. You're set. The other chairs are ok but the couches are much better/comfortable.

I'm sure anybody who has been to hookups hookah lounge in Southern California before will agree that it was poorly managed and not well maintained at all. After recently going to there to visit a friend, I was told that it is under new ownership. I want to start off by saying that I'm not in any way affiliated with Hookups hookah lounge. I'm simply a very satisfied customer. My very first impression when walking in was that the lounge is no longer dimly lit like it was before. Although they are currently in the process of remodeling it into a more modern looking environment, it is still an exteremely comfortable environment. My first impression of the new owner was that he's a very friendly guy. I was greeted right away when I walked in, and was given a menu containing all 41 starbuzz flavors which I would like to add were ALL in stock. On top of the normal menu, they are currently in the process of creating 101 Tobacco mixes to cater to everyones unique tastes. I think anyone (new or returning) customers should give Hookups another try and see that this place is slowly becoming one of the better hookah lounges in Southern California.

I've been to many hookah lounges, and I know what makes a good one. Upon walking into this one, I could immediately tell that it was a very shitty 'lounge'. As one reviewer mentioned, it is a total cockfest. The crowd seems really boring, and uncool. So, if you're looking for a hip, cool place to hang out, then this definitely ain't the place to be.There is no real ambiance here. Just some wooden chairs and tables, surrounded by a few simple sofas. No music, no belly dancer, no decoration. Sometimes the TV is on, playing some old movies. You won't get a proper Middle Eastern vibe at this place (Or any vibe for that matter). Frankly, the entire experience was very uncomfortable and awkward. Nobody looked like they were enjoying themselves; just a bunch of zombies. If all you're concerned about is the hookah, I should mention that they charge $16 for a regular one. I've been to classier joints that still charge less than here. We tried two, and both were very harsh, and certainly not worth what we paid for them.By the way, if you go with a group of people, you must have at least 1 hookah per two people. If anyone in the group is left out, they have to pay an extra $5 - NO EXCEPTIONS (As it clearly states on their menu). The other reviewers have claimed that the owner is friendly. Well, yeah, for the money you're paying him, of course he's gonna be friendly! There are plenty of better lounges in the area, so don't screw up your evening here.
