I have been to this location a handful of times...been here so much that the lady (DENG...I believe is how its spelled) knows me and my entire fam bam...this time just was so ooberly scrumptious that I had to yelp about it...here is what we got:-PAD THAI- great flavor compared to other pad thai's that I have had...there is something in this one that has me coming back for more everytime...I think they lace it with crack...I love sprinkling some lime on top of this-TOM KHA- always a choice...and always a great one...we like to order this with white rice and I love spraying the rice with the hot chili oil...omg Party in my Mouth....it has great flavor and isn't salty like other ones that I've tasted-ANGEL WINGS- talk about lots of meat...I don't think these are chicken...they are too fat...I think they are just effin BIG...great texture and flavor...perfect with the honey dipping sauce-SHRIMP WRAPPED WONTONS- mmmmm...that's all I have to say...with the shrimp inside always tasting so fresh...For a THAI place (Americanized thai is what my Thai friends call it) is pretty effin good...I will keep coming here until they close down...but I don't think that will ever EVER....happen...

This place is good, but not great. There aren't a lot of good choices for Thai food out in Lake Forest, so when we're craving yellow curry, my husband and I go here. The cuts of meat they use aren't of best quality, and it's not the greatest atmosphere. But, the people that work there are nice and you do get a decent meal for the price. They have good lunch specials and have fast service. The one in Newport, by Triangle Square is much better. But this one is convenient for us, so we still go to the Lake Forest one.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! The shopping center it's located in is...dodgey to say the least, do not let that fool you. This place is a little gem. The food is amazing and the service is great. The head waitress is a little on the loud side, but she is fun, if you find yourself offended by her you may be a little too stuffy. Her assistant is a quiet older woman who is very curtiuos. We had...Pad Thai - wonderfulChinese Hot and Sour Soup - so good I can't wait to eat the leftoversBeef Salad - my mom cleaned the plate. Do not pass this place up.

This place cracks me up. When I order some Thai noodle dishes (not Pad Thai) it comes out as fried noodles Chinese style. The place is a hole in the wall, real tacky, but that's not why I rated it two stars. It's the food.

I wish I knew of this site a while back, otherwise I would've come here as soon as I left this place.Somehow, the strangest things seem to happen to me, things I myself don't believe sometimes. Anyway, a few of my co-workers recommended this restaurant one day when I was craving some Thai food. I decided why not, if they like it, then i'm sure I will too. I call in my order for Pad Woon Sen. The man on the phone was very nice and was impressed that I knew what that was.. i'm not sure why. So, I go pick up my order and bring it back to work. By this point, I'm pretty much starving. I open it up and start eating. A few bites in, i'm chewing, and all of a sudden I feel something sharp in my mouth. I'm thinking it's probably just an over cooked veggie but I decide to look at it to make sure. I spit it out , and with closer examination I find that it's A METAL TWIST TIE. Disgusted, I throw the rest of my food away and call the restaurant. The man who had helped me earlier picked up the phone, and I told him what had happened. He asked me if I'd like him to replace it, and I told him no, and that I wanted my money back. He said he would be there when I come back, and he remembers who I am. He then told me to come by after work so that I could get my refund. When I return to the restaurant, he is nowhere to be found. I noticed a lady behind the counter, so I went up to her and explained to her what happened. She asks me if I brought the food back with me, and I told her no, but I brought the twist tie in little baggie. She then tries to argue with me, telling me I was supposed to bring back the order with me. I informed her that I was not told that, and the fact that she is trying to argue with me, AFTER I find a peice of metal in my food is unacceptable. She then goes in the back and brings a cook out with her. She then starts speaking to him in their language, hopefully referring to the twist tie in my food. The cook then starts LAUGHING. Who does that? They should be ashamed of themselves. Never an apology, not even an ounce of remorse. After having to argue with the woman, I finally get my money back. She then has the audacity to ask me if I'd like her to replace the order. I look at her and tell her that not only do I not want to eat here again, but I will make sure to tell my friends about this experience. Needless to say, I will never return there. Granted, I was starving, but not enough to risk hepatitis! If I could give this place less than 0 stars I would... but I can't post this unless I give at least one star.

On the outside, this plaza is ghetto. The restaurant is located in the same plaza as "Captain Cream", a strip joint, not a bakery, as I was cautioned by my friend before stepping inside and finding out "the hard way". Therefore, I knew I was in for a some great food. And I was right!First of all, advice from my friend: "Don't even look at the Chinese menu". Apparently, the Thai dishes are awesome and the Chinese ones terrible. Ordering from the wrong side of the menu will get you laughed at. Must orders are the Pad Thai and Glass Noodle Salad. My friend loves the Sun Dried Beef appetizer, which was a little tough for my delicate small tooths. The Salmon Curry was underwhelming. Service was okay. Waitress (whom I suspect to be co-owner) can be a little scary if you are not used to loud aggressive Asian women. But if you are, you might like the 'friendly' menu recommendations.

Small, little, unassuming restaurant that has some tasty finds. My fiancee, mother and I decided to come here since we were hungry and in the neighborhood and waiting for some tires to come in at the nearby auto mall. I knew of this place only becasue I've come to this particular plaza for lunch at the Vietnamese restaurant a couple doors down. You walk in and and it's basically a row of vinyl booths on both sides and a couple tables in the center. It is self-seating and the owner lady came and brought us menus.WARNING: She has a very loud, booming and aggressive voice. She just sounds that way! We almost left cuz my Mom thought the lady was being rude to us until we heard her speaking to everyone that way in the same tone and same decibel.Anyway, we ordered from both the Chinese and Thai menu - combo fried rice and pad see ew (Thai) and chicken chow fun (Chinese). The fried rice did not look appealing at all when it was set in front of us but looks can be deceiving because it was delicious!! It was just so dreary brown, no colors, no pow. But definitely good on the taste buds. We all scraped our plates clean, it was that good! Why only 3-stars? Well, it's good but it's more of a take-out kinda place for me since the restaurant itself has zero ambiance. I would probably go there more often if I still worked nearby. So, this is the kinda place I would stop by if it was en route to somewhere or if I just happened to be in Lake Forest :)hmmm when i go with my coworkers we usually order the same stuff... i came here the other day and we decided to switch it up a bit... unfortunately it was a bit diappointing... i ordered the raad na and the noodles were all clumped together and the flavor was a bit bland and the chicken poorly executed :( The orange chicken was so-so and too bread-y. The beef dish (i forget the name) was blah too with mainly a bamboo flavor b/c it was cooked with a lot of bamboo. We ordered a the tom yum soup as we usually do and that was business as usually which is good... so maybe we just poorly ordered :( Maybe more of a 3.5... I like this b/c it's reliable and close enough to my work. It's not too… I've been here previously, but returned this week for lunch with co-workers. The place is like I remembered it. Its a hole in the wall. Nothing fancy. The food was good and reasonably priced. For three people we spend $30. Not bad for lunch. We had pad thai, pad see iew, and the chicken with vegetables. The portions were good. But I found it interesting that if you order thai iced tea with no ice it cost 75 cents more. The decor is dated and shows its age and the staff, namely the owner, I believe is extremely loud. If you're local, keep and eye out for coupons.Would I go back? Probably.Decent Thai w/ a little Chinese cuisine restaurant.Decor - they renovated recently so it looks a lot better than few years agoFood - order "Spicy grilled beef salad, Chicken/Beef/Shrimp pad sew lew", Spicy Beef fried rice or Beef Ra Nad (similar to pad sew lew but has more sauce). Their curry - not that great neither was the egg rolls or wonton soup.

If you're looking for good food, great prices, no frills kind of place. This is the perfect place for you. Although, I would like to mention that the service is good bad. We get one waitress who is very nice courteous, she's very helpful attentive. The other waitress is super fake, she is over the top and very loud, whenever she has a conversation everybody in the restaurant can hear it, if you know her she will be super duper nice to you, if she doesn't know you or like you then she will be mean, she won't smile won't even look at you. The reason she doesn't like us is because we like to order the glass noodle dish a certain way, add this, take away this. So she probably gets annoyed, sorry if I want to eat something I like, why would I order something just to pick out stuff if I can easily get the kitchen staff not to add it in the first place? Oh, and when a baby or small child comes into the restaurant she has to scream "BABYYYYYYYYYYYY" like she's never seen a kid before, so fake it makes me want to puke. So why the 4 stars you ask? All for the nice waitress and the food, my favorite is New Year Chicken, just order it, you will love it. The food is terrific, it's got great flavors a good size portion. If and when I go back, I will bring ear plugs with me so I can have a nice quiet meal without all the theatrics.
