Are you a Cigar Aficionado like me? Do you just gotta have a nice torpedo after a dinner to satisfy your dining experience?  If you smoke cigars regularly....I mean at least once a week.  You won't be able to shop here for their price is too high.  What's the mark up....like 300%??? Jeeeez.....They do have a pretty good selection, wide variety for the first timers.  To satisfy the real smokers....you gotta have the Premiums at a reasonable price.  I guess they had to mark it up to afford the high rent at BLOCK.  If you are just looking to get a quick stick after a movie....I guess they'll do, but you'll have to shell out some dough.

This cigar shop I remember far back, like to the days I was waiting for my mom to pick me up at the block after I spent all my allowance at Manga House. Been there for a while so he must be making a pretty penny, enough to stay in business... I just dont see the actual buying. The history and seeing the happy people leaving this store got me into cigars. When I finally went in as a grown-up, and I had a fair idea of what i was looking at, I was impressed by the inventory. Not any of that Swisher or Dutch Masters crap that haunt some cigar shops but CAO, PArtagas, Montecristo... all my favorites.  BUT, Everytime Im in there I see many browsers but not a whole lot of buyers. Like others have said, their prices are pretty steep. Out of curiosity, I asked the guy behind the counter if they had the Fuente Fuente Opus X and they did...but for around $45/stick! and the guy said it without blinking..  I read through a lot of cigar blogs (my favorite: http://stogieguys.com) and on average it should be $26 tops, not almost double that.  I'll be sticking to Cbid or tinderbox for my money. But just to satisfy an adolescent fantasy, Ive bought cigars from this shop one 3 different occasions. I dont remember sizes, but it was a Montecristo, a Partagas black and a CAO America Monument. Each time, the guy behind the counter just seemed completely indifferent to my prescence, like he was doing me a favor for letting me be in there. He is knowledgeable and has an encyclopedic knowledge of cigars. He's not a gentlemen but not an asshole either. All in all, i think this would be a nice place to shop at if -you're feeling spontaneous at the block-you forgot to buy a cigar smoking friend a gift for his/her birthday and you're in the area-BASICALLy, only if its convenient. I really miss Red Cloud in Fullerton, the sales guys had class, knowledge and service with a smile all wrapped into one. But if you need to go to a nice looking, large selection-having cigar shop in North Orange County, bring more money than you think you need and head on down to Cohiba at the Block.

You ever smell that smell....that smell that transports you to another time and place?I was passing by Cohiba @ Santana row the other day and smelled itthe sweet smell of burning vanilla on a sunny daybirds were singing and girls were winkingAnd then it was socal days all over again. The place where I discovered vanilla djarumsThe days when I used to party more and smoke*please please don't do this at home kids, it's bad 4 U!Which lead to partying with the owners back in KL, Malaysia. It helps if they are trying to impress your obliviously dense sister.XDI can still recall that Cohiba branch situated next to the AMC theaters at the Block in Orange....a lil smaller than the one in SR but it also had a separate humidor room if I recall correctly. The guy behind the counter was helpful enough during my purchase. And after asking about it, he had showed me how to properly light a cigar. Practice makes perfect. I wasn't too cigar savvy nor am I presently so I can't comment on their other offerings. However the one thing that was consistent between the Cohibas here, there, and Kuala Lumpur was the leather seats, wooden floors, and a certain permeating air of being apart of a exclusive cadre of smokers. Grant it that the service has somewhat lost something in it's U.S. translation however their is still that level of dark wood decor that stirs up images of excessive old world style central to their name sake.

Good selection but the price is way to HIgh. The price is so high you can't enjoy the smoke. I bought there house cigar. They wanted 17 bucks for it. 17 bucks for a smoke ive never heard of!The worker there is knowledgable, but he isn't good enough to talk me into buying a $17 stick from a no name maker.Disappointing.

It has a good location and if you want a cigar/cigarettes at the block you are going to either pay a higher price here, or get in your car, lose your parking spot, and waste 20 minutes in a pursuit for them elsewhere.  Time is money, so from that vantage point it's okay to pay a little more here.  Cigarettes are $5.50/pack.  Cigars, well...more of a markup.  Some people sit around and smoke hookah in here, if that's your thing to do at the block.

It's really close to the AMC theaters at the BLOCK.  We got coffee first at Starbucks and then came here so that my BF and his friend could smoke cigars... they say there's nothing like a coffee and cigar pairing... so the girls just followed along since we obviously have no clue about this stuff, haha. The guys got the Captain Morgan cigar and it was the best cigar I've ever tasted!  You lick your lips after a puff and there is a super sweet aftertaste.Too bad this place is so pricey and the customer service sucks.

If you want to travel back to when it was perfectly acceptable to yell bigoted comments people walking by this store, then you'll fit right in. But, yelling "faggot" to a couple outside doesn't seem the best way to develop a good marketing image. I wish I could give this homophobic business negative yelp stars.  (This was at the Victoria Gardens, Rancho Cucamonga store, which doesn't have a Yelp! listing.)
