I love Macy's and I shop there all the time.  The employees have outstanding customer service.  They're not all fake and insincere like at South Coast Plaza.  Just tell them what you want and they find it for you. It's the most inexpensive place to shop.  Seriously, it's cheaper than Ross.  If you go to the clearance ranks on sale days, you can get some great deals.  Last One Day sale, I got three dress shirts, for 18 bucks!!!That's six dollars a shirt!  Ross charges $14.99 for one shirt. As Men's dress shirts go, they're the same every year.  Just new stock vs. old stock. The place is usually pretty clean and neat.  Most of the time, everything's folded and clothes are not on the floor, unlike JC Penny's.I do feel sorry for the employees somethings.  Half of their customers are rude and there's always these large groups of foreigners with their children running around making a mess out of things.  Sometimes, I want to go over to the parents and ask them if their parents taught them to put stuff back.

i went to this macy's in search of a couch. i found one that i thought was great. it was reasonably-priced, good looking, and comfortable. so i bought it. here is where things get bad. when i bought it, they told me it was not in stock at the warehouse but would be there in a week. that week went by and they didn't call me so i called them back to see what was going on. they told me the delivery time had been pushed back and that these things happened but said it would be there the next week - now 2 weeks after the purchase. this would establish a pattern that would go on for almost 2 months of them giving me a date of arrival, the couch not showing up, them not contacting me to tell me that, me contacting them, and them telling  me, "sorry,  it's not in but the new arrival date is  in a week."long story short, think twice before buying something that is not in stock at this macy's.

This review is for the SA named TOM in the shoe section.I bought a pair of Coach shoes from South Coast's Macys last week but then got ahold of a coupon and wanted to get it for a even better deal. I brought it here and Tom told me the coupon excluded Coach...BUT he did have  a 20% off coupon that works for it!!!!THANK YOU TOM! You made my evening. :)Coach shoes=$42. :D

Listen up petite ladies - On the second floor right hand side of the mall entrance, I do believe this Macy's location has the largest collection of petite clothing to choose from in Orange County. Dare I say, maybe an even bigger selection compared to when Petite Sophisticate was is business. I give props to this Macy's  located in Westfield's MainPlace Mall for their exceptional Lingere…

There was no service, they completely ignored me at all times.  That's ok I left a billion clothes on the floor of the dressing room as payback for the service.  The selection is great.

I went here today to help my mom find a dress for a formal event and was super disappointed with the service and selection at this Macy's store. First off, no one even bothered to come up and help her with the gazillion dresses she had in her hands despite the fact there were 3 employees hanging around the dressing room chatting it up. When I went into the dressing room to try on a dress, one of the employees barked at me to stay out of any room with clothes in it and didn't bother to offer any assistance in either cleaning out the rooms or finding a room with nothing in it. Finally, as my mom was trying on her dresses, I witnessed one employee in particular being rude to two more customers. She had the worst attitude of any employee I've ever encountered at Macy's. When one customer asked her if she could order a dress from another Macy's, she retorted, "sure, do it yourself" When another customer asked if there were any other sizes left of a dress she wanted to purchase, the same employee asked her not one, not two, but THREE times if she checked the rack in the store. The employee didn't even bother to go check the rack!! In terms of selection, the store is a complete mess. As Erin pointed out, sizes are limited and the types of fits (petite, women's, junior's) are spread throughout the store in the wrong sections. It's a disaster!!!

"That lamp scares me""It just makes me feel like smoking a bowl at a hookah bar"The conversation of two 20 somethings in this ancient Macy's that "creeped" my friend out.The whole lay out is SO f*cking confusing. I was mostly there for the Benefit counter but getting out of the joint was a task in itself.I was returning a pod of creme eyeshadow that was not creamy, but flaky and rough and the sales associate there told me she couldn't exchange it without a receipt or the box and I asked her why she couldn't just X out the new box, put my shit eyeshadow in it, and give me the new one out of it. She went to talk to a manager who told her to see if I had used my Macy's card - I did. So then she said she was going to "Research" my account and see if she could find the purchase on there. She proceeded to match my color and make up my entire face which she did a good job at and then we proceeded to the counter with the $$ make up I was buying from her (They do make money off commission on top of their hourly rate). After she saw that I wasn't there to rip them off and saw that I was spending money, there was no "Research" needed and my shit eyeshadow was placed in the new eyeshadows box and X'd out.Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks! Two stars cause your store sucks and makes me frustrated enough to go to SCP from now on.

A friend of mine bought a dress at South Coast Macy's but decided she wanted to return it.  Instead of driving all the way back to Costa Mesa, I suggested we head to Main Place.Big mistake - and a total waste of time!We trotted into this Macy's and headed upstairs to the formal dress department.  The downstairs dresses are juniors dresses (just in case you got confused).  We passed by four unmanned registers before we finally found one that had a sales associate."Hi, we'd like to make a return on this dress."The old lady gave us the once over before taking the dress, still in its plastic garment bag.  She tore open the plastic and retrieved the dress.  After splaying it on the teeny tiny counter, she began to scrutinize the dress. For some reason, she decided to check the zipper.  She zipped it down, and it got stuck on the shirring by the waistline.  After a few more failed attempts, she asked, "How in the world did you try this dress on?""With difficulty," we replied, laughing.  I offered to help her, as she seemed really intent on pulling down the zipper, but she abruptly declined my assistance, moving on to the inside lining instead. After tsk-tsk-ing a few times, she coldly said, "I can't take this back.  It shows obvious signs of wear."Uh.  Negative.  It did not show obvious signs of wear."All she did was try it on," I protested, as my friend was too shy to speak up.  "What 'signs of wear' are you talking about?""See these wrinkles on the bottom here?" she said, pointing to the elongated wrinkles that lined the inner satin.  "These are signs of wear.""No, ma'am. You see, the sales associate shoved this SUPER LONG gown into a PLASTIC GARMENT BAG that was TOO SHORT for the dress.  So obviously, the bottom got wrinkled.  That is not due to wear."Still shaking her head, she said, "Well, you should take it back to where you bought it from, then.""So you're saying that I should go back to South Coast?"After nodding in the affirmative, she managed to go on explaining (or complaining, more like).  "This branch doesn't carry the higher end lines."  Duh.  I can see with my own eyes, thanks.  "If I took this back, I'd have to sell TEN dresses just to make my money back."  YOUR money?  What, you OWN this Macy's?  Since when did Macy's become a franchise operation?Tired of her tsk-tsk-ing, we just took the dress back to South Coast - where we had NO PROBLEM returning the dress.Customer service says a lot about the quality of a certain business.  Whether I return it at South Coast or Main Place, it shouldn't matter.  So long as it came from Macy's and goes back to Macy's, it shouldn't be a problem.  Obviously, this place hires subpar sales associates who do not give two hoots about providing excellent customer care.  Had she (a) not given us the once over as soon as we began to speak, (b) not nitpicked over the zipper for a good five minutes, (c) not used a figurative magnifying glass to examine every GARMENT BAG CREATED wrinkle, and (d) complained about taking "expensive" items back at "her" branch, I might have walked out with a smile.Unfortunately, I walked out with a scowl. If you carry a crappy selection of goods, the least you could do is have proper and professional sales clerks who refrain from refusing returns based on made-up claims.  Psh!

When I was a teenager, this mall used to be my hang out and Macy's was one of my favorite stores to buy shoes. I went back there yesterday and returned to a pitiful Macy's store. The shoe department was having a sale and the floor was a mess. I could barely get through to the counter without stepping on a box or a shoe. The displays were horrible. Honestly, I couldn't even tell how the displays were organized. In the lingerie department, I asked where to find DKNY. The salesperson pointed at a wall and said, "Some are here, others are there." Ummmm....that was so not helpful. When we finally found the bras we wanted, they were horribly organized. What a mess! The cosmetics department was even worse. I stood at the Benefit counter for 10 minutes until the ONE salesperson comes back from lunch. I walked over to Chanel only to be ignored by their ONE salesperson as well. What happened to this Macy's? What happened to the customer service, great selections, and quality standards? I am so sad and disappointed.

Being the procrastinator I am I waited till the day before a formal event to shop for a dress/shoes/accessories. So upstairs I went to the dress department and at first glance I was hopeful, half the floor was JUST dresses. However, after shopping for awhile I realized it was a whole lotta nothing!! They'd only have each dress in about 2 sizes, petites were mixed in misses, with some from the women's department thrown in there. Its like no one had sorted the racks in weeks!! And their selection of formal wear was depressing!! Who ever is their buyer for this store must be an older lady because that was all they had save for a couple of tu-tu type dresses. Anyway, I probably tried on every dress I could find in my size and finally settled on one I didn't really like but looked good enough and the price was right. At this point I went downstairs to the shoe/accessory department and had a horrible experience. Not only could I not find anything but when I asked to try on the few pairs I liked, the staff attacked me with attitude. They were obviously upset that I interrupted their conversation and practically threw me the shoes and went right back to behind the counter and started back up again. I gave up and took a turn around the jewelry section and this is when I had to laugh...so if the buyer for formal wear is an older woman than the buyer for the jewelry must be a 13 year old girl cause everything was TACKY TACKY TACKY! Cheesy plastic pieces that they wanted 20 bucks for, HUGE hoop earrings in the ugliest fake gold ever....ew ew ew. In summary, store is small, people are rude, their merchandise is tacky and overpriced. Even though this Macy's is more convenient for me, I'll willing trek to South Coast when I need my one-stop shop.
