Sam's was my roommates and mine #1 source for pre-class pitchers back in the day. Class at IV theater? Totally convenient to stop here on your way! Good basic sanwiches too...you know, if you're into actually eating in IV.

This is one place I never forget to frequent when I head back into IV. A few pitchers, a nice sandwich to grub on, and countless beautiful women passing by to and fro class.....damn I miss my Thursday afternoons in IV. The outside patio area makes for great people watching and it is a great place to get smashed when you feel like a little day drinking session. The place gets off the hook on a weekly basis, and when it does, it's the place to be. The pitchers can get pricey, but remember you are paying for the atmosphere plus the beer. Check out the turkey and avocado sandwich on wheat...it's the shiznit. Frankie and his Dad run the place, and if you get to know them you will realize they are straight up good hard working people.Check it out.......PINK BIKE!

Will everyone who got food poisoning at Sam's please raise your hand? Wow, everyone? jeez. Um. Maybe you should notice that they spend weeks upon weeks closed because they were forced to by law. The only way they stay open is beer and even that is questionably kept, except its beer and its kind of self cleaning. Ew.

Best place to go for a sandwich anytime! That and a pitcher or 2 and you are set. Hang out and veg in the sun watching the beach cruisers and skaters go by.

The old man who works there needs to stop making shitty sandwiches and stop being an asshole to customers. Not worth it. Go to IV bakery next door or if you just want a cheap, big sandwich, go to IV Deli Mart across the street.

I've loved this place since I was a kid, especially the one in IV. It breaks me to see all these people who are trashing it. Yes, the owner is a little rough around the edges, but he's a businessman. Just don't talk a lot, watch him make his artwork, pay and leave. The smoked turkey here with bacon and provolone is something I've probably had about 20 times. And its huge! Their white bread is fantastic, as it is at the one on Storke, but I find that the meats at the Storke location are totally below par. I love this place, I suggest you give it a try before listening to all the drunk college kids talk about nothing else than the pitcher of beer and hookah pipes - it's a sandwich place for crying out loud!

dude...no...just...no.this place almost got booted due to extremely poor sanitation. after i heard about that, my first time going there quickly became my last.they host a hookah bar once a week, other than that, do yourself a favor and use it as extra seating for java jones and blenders in the grass.

As long as you only drink beer here, you're going to be fine. I can't stand the sandwiches although I've never gotten sick. They do; however, have a stranglehold on the single best spot for posting up and tossing back pitchers. The owner, Mehrdad, is a nice guy if you take the time to get to know him and his son can be a little punk but he's only a smart-ass because he's smart. They take their pitchers so seriously here that they once invested in some special ones who keep ice in the handle. Where can you tease more passers by during finals than Sam's?Auf.

C'mon, how can you go wrong with a pitcher, sub and the view from the concrete benches in front of Sam's IV? Owner is a little paranoid about underagers, but I guess you can't blame the dude.
