I used to go to Ghaleb's but after having to pay $10 just to get in (hookah not included) I said forget it! Mixx  is the exact opposite compared to Ghaleb's.  It's really hard to miss it though because of the location.  I personally know Art and Jack the owners of the place.  They are really nice and friendly guys.  The service is super fast here, they are attentive to your needs. They have really clean hookahs the different flavor choices are endless. It's a place to go to kick back and relax, don't expect it to be packed with people though.  Here you can actually have a conversation and watch the two flat screens they have on the wall and smoke in peace! I go there every time I'm in Fresno to smoke, or buy other hookah accessories. During the daytime they sell cigarettes and other smoke accessories. I believe they extended their hours to open at 10 AM.

The second best hookah bar Fresno's ever had, just behind Monte Cristo, RIP. Mixx is owned and operated by former employees of Monte Cristo and My Internet Cafe/Myxx Hookah lounge. The hookah itself is just as phenomenal as either of these places, still offering the same flavors from there, and the service is better this time because this is a much smaller place. This is pretty much a hookah only place. They don't have a kitchen, so it's just chips and other munchies, sodas, and bottled waters. The place itself is small, looking like a large living room with couches alongside either wall, and flat screens. People bring their Xbox's and PS3's and play sometimes, and once a week they have a movie night or something. The hookah here is lightyears ahead of anything at Ghaleb's, and the service is much quicker. It's not a club-like atmosphere like Ghaleb's, doesn't have a bar, or loud music or girls dancing around. I wish they would play up the Middle-Eastern theme a bit more with the decor, but as a hookah-only place it's as good as I make it at home.

Well, at least this place isn't AS annoying or as terrible as Ghaleb's. But I'm still waiting for a totally kick ass Middle Eastern hookah place to open up and take Fresno by storm. I was hungry when I met up with some friends here, and I really wish they had actual food items and not just chips and soda. I wasn't crazy about the B-95 radio playing here, either. Techno, trance, ethnic music, even RB, but a radio station, and B95??? come on, guys. And when I called on the phone, the guy didn't sound friendly, AT ALL, and he didn't answer the phone like a business. I got an irritated sounding "hello", and I had to ask if it was "the Mixx", "yeah" he says. And the way he said it almost made me feel bad for asking. nice.
