I think the food is great after a night on the town or even just a late night snack. They're open very late and i personally thought the service was great. some of my friends have gone in and had terrible service though, i wasnt there with them at the time, so i cant say the same. the owner and his wife were both friendly to me and my friends. it did take a while for my food to arrive, but everytime i was there, it was packed, so i guess it was understandable. and if u get fries, make sure and ask for the garlic sauce with it, it is SOOO YUMMY! but the garlic sauce is by request only!!!! :)

Went here again and had a shawarma (chicken w/ lettuce, tomato, and sauce wrapped in flatbread). It was HYOOGE! Looked like a taco truck burrito. I could barely finish it, it was overstuffed with meat and incredibly tasty. While I was enjoying it, I was thinking about how there have been a few new Middle Eastern restaurants in town that are posh but don't give you value and quality like Falafel Hut does. I need to come here more! And proposal to solve sticky table situation: tablecloths. Surprised that they are open so late. I gave them a call and asked when they closed and he said…

Hands down the best Middle Eastern food. I now live in Chicago and I can honestly say I cannot find anything that measures up to the falafel hut. I miss it so much. I love that it's family-run with Minerva running the kitchen and her kids taking orders. And her husband who runs the cash machine. Their hummus, schwarma, and falafels are dee-lish. I may need to fly back to Modesto just to eat there again.

Another great locally owned diner of Middle Eastern persuasion. I know the folks that run it and they are both gems! Just go there and have fun, try it all! Don't bother with chicken. See if they have kidneys or some other organ meats to cook for you. Sometimes they do! Bring the kids and have the owner give them a geography and culture lesson on Lebanon.Enjoy this one!

We have been coming here for about six months. The food is so delicious, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5 is because I wish the restaurant was a bit updated. The tables are sticky, which makes me feel like the place is dirty, even though it doesn't look like it. That's why we usually order take out -- we're just not too comfortable eating in. Other than that, as I said, the food is great. Try the Maza Plate; it's delicious! Oh... it's very reasonably priced, too.

Falafel Hut has amazing food, atmosphere and customer service, it is absolutely one of Modesto's best restaurants and my most favorite.

I give this place one star only because their food is http://bomb.com. The service is absolutely horrible. If you are not assyrian or middle eastern don't bother going here. They got our order wrong about 3 times not to mention it took them about 40 minutes and brought every order out at a different time. I also forgot to inform you that there were about 6 other people in this place so it shouldn't have taken that long. I dont know if the owners of this place thought this was "2000 and late" but you don't treat people this way because of their skin color. Sorry Falafal Hut, but I won't be coming to you anymore. PS. bring your own silverware, napkins, and water. They don't provide them.

I come to this restaurant a lot. I find it funny that you guys think the owner is racist, when in reality he isn't. You say he is rude to you because of your skin color? It's not skin color, is the way some people dress. Just dress appropriately and have respect and i promise, you will get respect. The food is great, no problems here. Well cooked, perfectly mixed into a nice tortilla bread :)Its all good. I will give this restaurant a 10 out of 5.

The Falafel Hut is a gem. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Also, if your looking for a late-night dinner, they stay open very late.I've tried many of the items on their Middle-Eastern menu and always been pleased with the food. Lamb is very hard to find on local menus and usually not done well, but here, lamb is served as Kabobs with a full meal or as Shawarma in a wrapped sandwich. Each nicely marinated and spiced. Falafels (fried, spiced garbanzo bean dough) is also served in a sandwich or as part of a full meal. They are very nicely spiced with lots of flavor not usually found at other local Mid-East restaurants. Appetizers should not be missed, Hummos (Garbanzo Bean Dip) and Baba Ghannouj (Egg Plant and Sesame-butter Dip) are excellant, served with fresh pita bread.Gyros and various Kabobs made of chicken or beef are great choices as well.Service is friendly and most-of-the-time quick. The food is cooked to order so give yourself time. This is a great restaurant for non-meat eaters. I often order an entire vegetarian meal and never miss the meat.

Had a late night out in fun filled Stanislaus county? Survived the mean streets of downtown Modesto on a Friday night? Ready to fuel your hunger and hopefully avoid a hangover but you're sick of the Denny's, the In-N-Outs, and have enough Taco Bell to be pretty much ensure you'll develop some sort of intestinal disease in the future? Then you should give Beirut Falafel Hut a try.It may not look like much from the outside, and you may have to park your car in some guys drive way across the street but once you're inside you'll thank yourself for putting in the extra effort to get there. Good job champ!! This place has a lot of good late night greasy food. Their Gyros are AMAZING, their French fries are fat and delicious, their hummus is damn near perfect, and their Falafel sandwiches are the best I've ever had. This family owned restaurant has great service too.Don't feel like going home after you've eaten? Why not go outside into their hookah lounge and enjoy your favorite tobacco blend while sippin on chai. Atkins, weight watchers, and south beach not workin for you? Realizing that the falafel wasn't exactly the healthiest thing you could have had at 2am? Feeling rebellious? Then go ahead and have some baklava while you're at it!So why only 4 stars? Well, its kind of like when you rate beautiful women (or men, if you're a woman....or women if you're a woman, or men if you're a man...) , you always give them a 9 simply because you're always hopeful for something thats EVEN BETTER!
