The specials are good...especially for the beer. The decor...very very nice, my girlfriends and I stayed in the lounge area and we had a group of six of us and we had a great time. The only set back? Well, a couple of older folks came in to watch the game at the bar and would shoot us dirty looks and complained that we were laughing too loud. ?????!!! I thought this was a social bar?! I ordered the spinach salad (mental note to self, do not order again). The food is okay, I mean...it kinda reminds me of cafeteria food. The cheesy bread was just some cheese melted on bread. I mean, I know simplicity is great, but come on!! At least throw some parsley on there so it looks like it was at least worth the $5!!Eh....I mean, the place has potential....it looks fabulous and service is pretty good, drinks are okay, food definitely is worth what you pay for (and it's pretty inexpensive...so there you go)...overall, it's okay. Not bad....not good...just okay.

I was recently visiting a friend at CSU Sacramento. I arrived on a Monday and I asked him if there were any good local spots to watch the game. He took me to his "new favorite spot", Bisla's, which happened to be right behind campus. I must say I was extremely impressed! We went early to catch happy hour before the game started - awesome specials! ($2 Wells, $2 Pints, $3 Martinis) Plus they had hookahs for five bucks with like 20 flavors to choose from, I'm not much of a smoker but that was a cool experience (yes, I was a hookah virgin, lol). Needless to say, I was feeling good by kickoff time... Karoake started at 9pm, which is not really my thing. However, there were at least 10 flat screen TVs, as well as a large projector on the stage - so keeping tabs on the game was not a problem.I enjoyed myself so much that we went back the next night, which was "College Night". Basically, this means they offer the same specials from Happy Hour ALL NIGHT! We also ate there that night, the food was really good and very reasonably priced. The sandwich list is amazing and hilarious, with titles like "The Smokey Robinson", "The Ozzy Osbourne" and "The Daft Punk" - quality pizza too.We went to a party on Wednesday, no Bisla's that night. But as I understand that's "Salsa Night" and dancing is something I'm NOT very good at, but I'm sure there would have been some ladies there.I did make it back one more time before I had to leave on Friday. I believe they called it "Thirsty Thursday - Drinkin with Lincoln". $5 you call it (which is tremendous) and to top it off there is a weekly Beer Pong Tournament - which is my specialty! We had a blast!I can honestly say I would have gone back every night if I could have. I'm looking forward to going on a Friday next time I'm in town, it's a reggae night with $1 tacos all night - two of my favorite things, now that's what I'm talking about! I've also heard that they have huge parties on UFC fight nights, which is another one of my favorite things. All in all, if you're ever in Sacramento and in the mood for a drink - head to Bisla's, you can't go wrong.

A bunch of my friends and I came through this place for some Specials they were having for the night. It was some great specials ($1 beers, $2 wells, $2 apps, $10 hookah, $5 pitcher of Rolling Rock). The place isn't too big, but there weren't too many people there so I guess it was just the right size for us that night. The employees are quite nice and tend to you very quickly ... or as quickly as they can. Even the guy at the door was very nice to all of us. The drinks are really strong and creep up on you. As for the food? Well I ordered the House Fries and Mozzarella sticks. The House Fries were OK. They are regular fries topped with ranch, bacon, Tabasco, and cheese. Sadly, the cheese is not melted onto the fries. That is something I wish had been done ... instead they are just little cubes of American cheese just sprinkled around. Also, it needed to be a bit more spicier ... so I wish they had levels of spicy-ness. So that I could've had it more spicy or they could serve it with the bottle of Tabasco, their choice. The mozzarella sticks were really good. You get about 8 of them? I think. Still, not enough. Maybe you get more on a night that the appetizers aren't discounted, if that is the case then I got my money's worth for $2/app. But if that isn't the case, then they should add more for the people paying the full $6/app. In general, the food is slightly better then bar food I've had at other clubs, but it isn't restaurant quality. So don't go ordering away hoping for the best food you've ever tasted. How great were the specials that night? AMAZINGLY GREAT! I had 2 apps, 3 special drinks, 3 special shooters, and 3 wells -- all for $40 (tip included). =D!!!!!They also had a very nice outside area. Plenty of seats and standing room. Also some tables and such to play games, or beer pong, on.Also, parking can be a really big problem. So go early, carpool, or be prepared to walk.It is worth taking the time to give this place a shot. I would recommend going early to get that parking, and going on a night where they are having some great specials like the ones I had. You will get drunk and be full off very little money; and all-in-all you should have an, AT LEAST, OK/good experience here. =)

Still painfully in an identity crisis. Is it a rock bar or a sports bar? Either way they say to keep score. Here goes!Atmosphere and decor is sweet! Cool, upscale, contemporary "rock club" design throughout with a "VIP" lounge and outdoor area for chillin' and hooka. VIP area has come and gone as far as being open nightly. I hope it stays open all the time. You can also play Wii in the VIP with your group which is a blast, just ask for it.The other bar is too small to handle everybody unless the attractive staff really stay on the ball. We'll see how this goes.Food is pretty good especially considering the prices and yup the happy hour has great deals. A fun place all around but really cool for parties. If you have "15 people" and call ahead they will make sure the VIP is open for you. Just had a blast of a birthday party there with a group.A really cool clean place with an upscale look but great prices in a part of town that desperately needed another bar/club.Especially if you live nearby you need to give it a shot. Great times.

This place is good. It could be better. It really needs to find its customers.

I don't know if it's the economy or that Sac State is out for the summer, but this place was DEAD when we went in on a Wednesday night. If it wasn't for our group of 5 it would have been completely empty. It started picking up a bit later, but when we left at 11:30pm there were still only about 30 people there. The beer selection is weak, in my opinion. Six beers on tap (no ales--what the?) and a few selections of bottled beer. I guess they expect most people to order cocktails. The food we ordered was OK, but since it's cheap nobody was too critical of it. (Although the wings were pretty mushy.) Service was good and friendly.A couple of dudes came in to sing and play acoustic guitar, which was a little sad since there were so few people there. It's laid out nicely for bands though: big stage set up high and good viewing angles for the crowd. There is an awesome patio out back, and apparently they serve hookahs (water pipes) because two or three tables had them.Looks like they poured a lot of money into this place, but if business doesn't pick up I can't imagine it being around much longer.

A really nice place. decent food, good drinks and prices, alot of space, good music. Only real problems are that they don't get a ton of people in yet, and that they close kinda early (midnight). It's worth checking out.

Since my first visit, Bisla's has undergone a complete overhaul. New management is focused on customers. I was invited back to Bisla's to try out their menu and found servers, managers and cooks working hard to provide an excellent service experience.I would definitely recommend the Burgers and Pasta which are at a low price and good quality. This is a hidden location which is making a come back and will become a popular college hangout.

Don't miss out on this new club. Go there! The slow start was due to getting their licenses in order. Finding fun there should be easy these days. Once it's warm out, that patio will be a great place to hang out too.Spending time inside is a good time regardless. The bartenders are fun and cute. The three I saw were anyway. They like to have a good time while they serve up drinks for your good time. My buddy needed a slick place for his lovely bride's b-day, so we landed here. Gotta say, they gave us a great room. The party food was on the high $ side, but was pretty good. Them cheese sticks were silly hollow tubes for the most part. The room was included - can't complain. They also gave us access to the flat screen for the b-day video, which was appreciated. The willingness to be cool and just work with people is something I hope they keep doing. The decor was very slick and comfortable. Plenty of seating and tables for a party of 40, classic musicians and band prints, full time music bumpin, fully flowing bar - what's not to love?Side story - my buddy Ry had a little smack down with cutie bartender pictured pouring green concoctions (look at the pics already!). Ry wasn't happy with the head on his pint and argued he knew better. Smack down commencing.... He mans up to the handle and pulls. 3...2...1..tada! Perfect head on that beer! Not to be outdone, bartender has her own smack down in mind, who can finish first. 3...2...1...GO! One glass hits the bar, then the other. One is dry, the other 1/5 left. She schooled him! Ha! It was HER house wasn't it? Let's call it a draw, shall we? I'll never forget the fun that scene has etched in my mind. Good times right there! Some other areas - the main bar looked cool. The raise floor was setup for live entertainment. Lots of seating and tables, another bar area, more of everything! Even the restrooms were pimp! This place is still in it's first year. Give'em support! They're not far from 50, bout half a mile. Stop by. Plan a party. See what's planned. Whatever....Just go!
