Everytime I have visited the Java Cafe i have had a blast. They have live music on some night of the week, no cover. Mr and Mrs Lee are such sweet people too. I always drink a ton of their wine, Cabernet Sav, or Merlot. They have a good number of beers on tap. And the food is always fresh and delicious. Pictured above is the Turkey with Feta wrap and a lil side salad. I personally like to get the Club sammich. They put cream cheese on it and sprouts, its very tasty. I have not ever tried the various coffees and teas they have but i see many patrons enjoying them. Free wifi purchase!  Good place to do homework.

When I visit my parents in Fair Oaks this is one of the spots I make sure to visit due to the unique selection of beer they have on tap.  The coffee drinks are very good and the food is okay.  The ambiance is very nice with this I'm inside yet it looks like I'm outside and quite relaxing.  The outdoor seating is also very nice.  I'm there for the beer mostly.

Deep in a typical suburban shopping center in Fair Oaks lies an unassuming coffee shop but as I walked in, the place is very spacious despite the outside appearance and it can very well accommodate a small size live show with some room to spare for dancing or mingling.I came out here this past Saturday afternoon because my friend's band had an acoustic session gig which had sort of an MTV Plugged feel to it except that we were sitting in plastic patio chairs and table.  You gotta love a comfortable plastic patio chair with a built-in back lumbar support.  And the acoustics inside the place is pretty decent without the sound bouncing back and forth too much.  I understand that they have an open mic on Wednesday nights and DJ spinning on Sundays so it might be something I may want to check out next time.As for the food, there are the standard caffeinated beverage just like with many coffee houses as well as desserts, sandwiches and beer on tap.  I opted for mango smoothie which was disappointing because it is basically mango juice and some sort of smoothie pre-mix and mosh it into the blender with ice.  I also had the cheesecake which was pretty much the standard variety and was a bit overpriced for the quality and size.  I did enjoyed the complimentary pre-Superbowl cake for which was tasty and moist.  Since I was not in a drinking mode that day, I saw that they serve beer by the pitcher so that is a plus.Overall, I think that the food is too early to tell but based on the place for live shows, the 'burbs really need something like this to spice things up so they can stay there instead of invading downtown.

I usually go here for a beer with my girlfriend.  They have a large selection of beers on tap.  However, the last few times I went, almost half of the beers offered were unavailable.  That is one of my biggest pet peeves.  If you don't have the beer, then remove the tap.  I tried to order an Old Rasputin Imperial Stout for the three weeks in a row only be to be told they didn't have it.

NO MORE BEER.Java Cafe recently had their liquor license revoked --most likely for serving minors-- and now serves hookah. It was a popular place for my friends and I before we turned 21, as it was open late and frequently hosted open mic nights. It's been under new ownership for the last 5 years and there's less of a hip-place vibe, and more of a for-profit vibe, than before. Not that a hip place can't be for-profit, but these people turn the lights down to an unreadable level to save on energy cost, render a 75 cent credit card fee, and charge for ice water, even if you bought a drink. Oh, and the coffee is unremarkable, so I usually have tea.

I go to this coffee shop often.  I meet here once a month with a mothers group on Friday mornings and during the summer I come every other Friday with a bunch of girl friends. In the morning they serve up really yummy breakfast sandwiches.  I like the egg, cheese, and ham on croissant.  I don't often drink coffee here, but they have a nice assortment of bagged teas and I like their chia. When I come on Friday evenings, they usually have a band playing.  Sometimes the band is really good and other times not so much.  I like sitting outside on the patio and chatting it up with my friends, sometimes we have stayed until the wee hours of the morning.  They leave the chairs out and don't mind that we sit and chat.  I also feel comfortable since they have a security guard that patrols the area.Other than the breakfast sandwich, I haven't really eaten the food there.  I did notice that they do have a sandwich menu and an assortment of different pastries.  They also have a large selection of beers on tap.My only complaint would be that they never have enough chairs out on the patio to accommodate all the tables and won't let you take chairs outside from the inside.  Other than that this is a great place to hang out with friends and sometimes you get a cool show.
