Love this place. They clearly know how to prepare hookahs in a traditional way - not the shitty manner other places do where the pipe doesn't hit right or your throat starts burning. They have some tarts walking around looking drunk and bored loading your hookah with coals... kind of an annoying factor but they're easy to ignore. The owner is really friendly and so are all the Arabs who go! Sometimes it's very packed, especially late at night on weekends so it's better to go earlier to avoid all the loud noises. Prices are decent and lots of flavors. I adore it!

If I could give 6 stars I would. Be careful not to miss this place, Al and Vini, (owners,) did a good job finding a nice hiding spot for it. New York New York is the landmark to look for on the street.As for Genies itself it's the best hookah bar around. Kendra hit the nail on the head, they prepare the bowls in a traditional manner and all the staff are trained well at it. Summer time is a down time for them, being most of there clients are Arab students and have gone home to visit over the summer, however most nights it's still packed. Be sure to show up before 8:30 if you want a good spot. Typical music is hip-hop, RB, some rock and traditional Eastern music. Requests can be made and after a few visits you can bring your own in if Al doesn't have it.The staff are amazing and friendly. And an inside tip from a regular, don't show up and disrespect them or the cafe in anyway, (showing up drunk or messing with the bowl, things like that,) we'll kick you out for them. We're family at Genies and we like to keep it relaxing, fun and friendly for all.In closing, Genies is top notch and have my business for life. don't miss this place when going there (literally - it's a bit off the street and easy to miss)this place is a great smoke shop.good vibe and authentic.plays arabic music as well as the regular stuff.owners are nice and this place has been getting more packed each time i have went.if you want to smoke some hookah this is the place
