Could this be the location of the next YELP event? In honor of the Hemp Fest, I'm reviewin' one of the pillars of commerce on 82nd Avenue, 82nd Avenue Tobacco Pipe, Limited.Back in early pioneer days, they actually built 82nd Avenue just so they could get to 82nd Avenue Head, uh, Tobacco shop. Before that, they had to take the Columbia River, riding a raft, and then the rest of the trip via stagecoach. (See photo) Lucky you! Because today, you can easily find Cigars, pipes, amazing glass "tobacco" pipes, incense, a full selection of various Zig Zag products and a friendly staff. All kidding aside, this is one of the best "Tobacco" shops in town.

This place is kick ass! What i really appreciate about it is they are not to stuffy to carry cheaper cigars. Phillies, swisher; but also you're standard brands such as pardon and Partagas. Not only that but they also carry super premium brands like Montecristo and hard to find ones such as Nub and Zino (one's you wouldn't find at rich's). They have a lounge so feel free to pick out a fine cigar and hang around while browsing the stock and watching television. The staff is helpful and friendly, very knowledgeable, and happy to let you wander about. If you're in town I suggest you make the trip to 82nd ave tobacco and see if you can't love this place.

How awesomely stoked am I to have found this tobaccoaisis a mere few blocks from my home? Well, let's just say that a decent portion of my student loans over the past year ended up in these guys' hands.Unpretentious, welcoming, and low key. What more could you expect from a cigar store on 82nd? The clientele spans the full range from crackheads hooking up their next discount pack of BV's, to permanently-grinning dudes perusing the glass tobacco pipe selection, to upscale folk carefully selecting their next tubo from the walk in humidor. They have everything you would expect from a tobacco store, head shop, and cigar store. That makes it great. No pretentions here, this is the place for people who like to enjoy the finer smoke in life. The prices are comparable with Tobacco Town (the notoriously well-priced yet ghetto cigar and cigarette store on SW Barbur), and the selection of cigars is broad. I am able to find many of my favorites (A. Fuente, Cabinet Series, etc) at fair prices. They post descriptions and Cigar Afficionado ratings for many of the cigars in the case. The staff is always available to help with a selection as well, and I have never been disappointed with their advice.Want to sit and enjoy a smoke before heading on your way? They have a little lounge with flat screen and free wifi. Yup. Free wifi. Ever felt like the upturned noses at Rich's are laughing at you because you don't know the difference between a robusto and a churchill? Well have no fear. Make your way out to cracky town and stop by 82nd Avenue Tobacco Pipe. You won't be disappointed.

If you're a smoker...of anything...then this is your place. They have EVERYTHING a smoker needs, all kinds of lighters, rolling papers in like probably 25 + varieties. Glass, hookahs, cigars...and even cigar room with a lounge area, big screen TV ect with thousands of cigars behind glass cases lining the walls so you feel like a baller if you want to smoke. And for NON smokers they have all kinds of crazy cool gifts like pendants, boxes, jewelry, incense, ect. They really had something for everyones budget, and lots of unique stuff. The staff was SUPER friendly and very laid back. Me like!

This little shop on 82nd avenue is a one-stop joint that has everything you need for the tobacco enthusiast. On the North side of the shop you can find that wind chime you have been dreaming about for YEARS (you know, the one with the dragon complete with unfurled wings and talons gripping a crystal ball - seriously a real fuckin' ball made of quartz!) and any kind of hand blown glass hardware you can imagine. On the South side of the shop you will find two walk-in humidors and they have an enviable collection of some of the worlds finest aged cigars to choose from. They can play with the high rollers with uber expensive, highly rated cigars to the weekend poker playing warrior whose sole purpose is to have something in their mouth churning out blue smoke AND that goes well with bud light. The staff here is exceptional. Helpful, not possessing an attitude of pretentiousness, and truly there to enjoy the riff raff that roles in off SE 82nd Ave. (and by the looks of the cookies and nuts I see here every time I stop in, I'm willing to guess that it's a circus side show every night).
