Ava's is a great spot for a sip of coffee in Beaverton.  It's great to have more alternatives to Starbucks, especially 24/7 like Ava's.  The coffee's good, and they have pastries and free wi-fi.  The outdoor patio is nice and the landscaping fake stream make it relaxing.  You'll often find students and yuppies lining the wall with their laptops.

I don't really like to hang out at coffee shops but this place is nice. Starbucks is not even comfortable anymore, actually were they ever. Ava's got several cushioned seating and although it feels a little cramped, once you sit down it's not. There is even outdoor seating with heated gas furnaces shooting down warm air on your head in case you like to enjoy the scenery from the outside. By the way, the outside is really nice. Bricks everywhere and even a fireplace. I think they spent too much money on the bricks and not enough on parking. There's only two parking spaces.

This place has a really nice atmosphere. It's not too loud, and you can concentrate on studying if that's what you do, and you can have a good conversation. The smoothies are good. The coffee is good. The pastries are great! I like it here. Oh, and they're always open. Always a plus!

i come here for the atmosphere, definitely not the coffee-yuck.good place to hang out, chit chat with friends, and do some light studying/work. it can get loud-especially when they have live music on some weekends.only 3 cars a motorcyle can fit in the parking lot. you can park across the street at key bank during non-business hours.leave your hookahs at home. i don't think they permit it anymore.

I was in Beaverton visiting my cousin, and she said Ava was her favorite spot in her new town, and I can see why. It has the sweetest fountains outside, and yummy cakes and chai. I only had the decaf drip coffee once, and it was fine. Not superfab, but good. Everything we had there in our multiple visits was good, and we were glad for the 24 hour free wi fi in such a suburban town!

The atmosphere is really nice.  Coffee is fair, food is very expensive. I like the idea of a nice gathering place, but am dissapointed in the fare offered.

Open 24 hours a day. Great place to hang late at night when studying and want to get out of the house. Atmosphere, drink and food are good. Free wireless internet, goes down from time to time, but if you tell the staff they'll reboot the router and modem. Bus yourself service, basically, pick up your own food and drink after ordering. Pay attention for when your order is up because they call out the order then leave. It's a safe place to be late at night because the Beaverton Police and Washington County Sheriffs drop by for coffee and late night meals. Live bands, which have been pretty good lately. Good cross section of society there. Plenty of power outlets for computers. Over all a good place to hang.

Choice of chocolateWi-fi with a fountain viewCoffee and cookiesCome on....they give you a choice between milk and dark chocolate for your mocha.  Free wifi.  Music on Friday and Saturday nights. What's not to like?  The baked goods?  The signature cakes? All this and its NOT a Starbucks. You have to support it unless you like evil empires.OK...the Mocha cost me a bit more.  But hey...what are you going to do.

This place has filled the gaping late-night coffee void that Starbucks left in Beaverton when it started closing its Town Square doors at midnight.  Thanks to Ava, the Beav's police officers and students still have a place to go at 1 a.m. for coffee.  I wish this place had existed back when I lived in Beaverton, lookin' for caffeine with friends past 10pm.  The pastries are delicious and fresh with a very nice selection.  The coffee was expertly poured by very friendly baristas.  The space was... weird.  It was like a cross between a coffee shop and a furniture store.  I think it was the harsh and shiny lighting.

For some reason, my computer would not accept the dynamic IP address from this location. It kept defaulting me to static and kicking me off. Odd. I've never had an issue with Wi-Fi and it appeared that everyone's connection around me was working just fine. Perhaps my computer was just throwing a fit that day. In any case, free Wi-Fi exists at this 24 hour coffee house. Use it up!I discovered the Roasteria by absolute chance - typing "coffee" near "Beaverton, OR" in the Yelp search though ended up drinking iced tea instead while enjoying a chicken cordon bleu sandwich. Prices were on par with what you'd expect in a coffee shop. Around $7 for a sandwich, around $3 for speciality coffee items.Thankfully, downtown Beav isn't the most traveled spot in the region because street parking will most likely be necessary and available if you visit the Roasteria. Their lot has about two spots. Maybe three.I don't spend too much social-time in The Beav but I'd hit this place again if I had something to complete via laptop and needed some social immersion to go along with it.

If this place were in downtown Portland, I'd give it three stars, but because it is in the burbs it gets a fourth.  Why you may ask?  Ok, OK, I hear you asking, calm down.. yeesh..  Because it is has two things that are often hard to reliably find in the 'burbs.  Free strong wifi that works consistently and late night hours.  ESPECIALLY late night hours.Beaverton rolls up the streets at 9pm every night, but this place is 24 hours!  The Starbucks down the street is not even 24 hours anymore.  This place is better the Starbucks due to the menu (many more food options), coffee variety, and drink variety.  I was there from 9-11pm the other night and because everything else is closed it was very busy, but I still found a table.  Nice assortment of people from students to older folks.  Service is just OK, but not too bad.The ambience is very vanilla and suburby... not really to my taste, I'm more of an urban warrior, but due to work and family obligations I am living out here, so it is nice to have a place open late when I am such an night owl.  Very small private parking lot.

I am a student and I go here to study all the time. It get's pretty crowded at night and is sometimes hard to find a seat. The coffee is good, my friend tells me the tea is as well. The pastries are rich and delicious, the sandwiches are alright, good, but not great.Free wifi can be slow when it's packed, no one will hassle you for buying a coffee and sitting there for a few hours.

I recently moved here, and was going through some seriously withdrawals from my old coffee stomping ground. I happened upon this place after walking back from a farmer's market one day. I fell in love! It has free wi-fi, live music and incredibly delicious pastries. I have yet to try a sandwich, but I've heard those are yummy too. The place is gorgeous, the patrons are friendly, and it's 24 hours! The people who work there are really nice, and will answer any questions about anything on the menu, or in the case. I only gave it four stars because the parking can be sketchy, and it borders on almost being too crowded and noisy. Even still, this place rocks your socks.added: just tried the turkey and aged cheese sandwich....sinfully good.

I've been a regular patron of Ava for nearly as long as they've been open. I'm on the road a lot for my job and find myself with hours to kill and not really able to go home. If I'm even a little close to Ava, I'm definitely grabbing my laptop or a good book and staking a claim on a table. The signature white chocolate mocha's are so incredibly smooth and delicious. On a cold winter day, nothing really quite warms me up like a mocha from Ava. They've also got a variety of loose-leaf teas to try. I haven't tried all of them, but the Ava White Tea blend has a really good, fruity, and fresh taste. However, the best part of Ava, in my opinion, is not just the awesome coffee; it's the awesome, awesome pastry case. Marble Espresso Caramel Cake. Strawberry Whipcream Cake. Fruit Tarts. Mini German Cheesecakes. Tiramisu. Just a few of the decadent desert options for you to choose. They've also got a variety of sandwiches and soups for your lunch or dinner needs. I've spend countless hours here, enjoying the coffee, food and wifi. Plus a nice place to hang out in the burbs that's 24-hours? It really doesn't get much better than this, especially out in Beaverton.

24 Hrs! I know everyone is mentioning it but a nice 24 hr coffee shop is so convenient. The place even has a river running outside, which is great and all but drinking my coffee outside, I must have urinated a minimum of 5 times. Which is okay because the bathrooms were clean!

Wait, am I in Bellevue or Beaverton? Elton John is quietly streaming from outdoor speakers, barely heard over the bubbling water feature all that acts as a river border. The soft scent of honeysuckles, day lilies, and night blooming jasmine draw attention to the fire pit, complete with a circle of faux rock and firewood. The only difference I've found is that the parking lot is full of Subarus versus the standard lot of Lexus' and Mercedes SUVs. But wait...there's a BMW...and shut the front door, is that the rare Portland Suburban that I've heard so much about? Shhhh...you'll scare it away... Bob Loblaw.Blame it on my "seedy" Bellevue upbringing, but something about venturing to the burbs makes me exceptionally nervous - I instantly feel very claustrophobic, like I'm stuck in a cookie cutter. Ouch. It hurts to bend that way! Listen here - the coffee is just fine, and if you can deal with a playlist that has most recently played "Lean on Me" and Sixpence None the Richer's "Kiss Me,"  the outdoor patio is quite enjoyable. But don't go here as an "escape from Starbucks"  because I assure you - a coffee shop by any other name would smell just as formulated.

My girlfriend and I stopped here since she likes it so much. It's pretty nice for a coffee shop in the Tron, especially since it's open 24 hours and has free wifi. The coffee was good but there isn't much else to say about it.Oh yes, coffee beans in the tables, and a waterfall in front of the place, Maybe I'm just too used to Portland-like coffee shops or something.

What a beautiful place!! the place is so nice it alone earned the 4 stars even with average coffee and the fact that this place is too crowded. it might have been what i ordered who knows but i do want to go back  open 24 hrs, free wifi and a beautiful atmosphere. It won't take much from me to elevate this place to 5 stars.

Why the HELL have I been studying at Starbucks Jantzen beach 10 miles away that closes at 9pm everday and is ever-flowing with teeny-boppers and mothers with snotty kids when Ava Roasteria is only 5 miles away, open 24 hours, and although noisy as hell . . . . I much prefer hippies over children. Well, I suppose it's a toss-up.It was Thursday night, and this place was packed. Mint tea and coffee in hand, we surprisingly found a 4-top table and unloaded our books. Three hours later, I had successfully crammed a decent amount of back anatomy into my brain and could have studied for an additional three. Good job, Ava for being such a condusive environment for studying. I, like many, am a night owl and only become really productive at night so it's nice to find a place that caters to this population. THe place is pretty big and can be pretty distracting at first if you like to people watch because it is sardine-can-filled with hipsters and sleep-deprived medical, dental, and nursing students. Even though your coffee was kinda crappy and seared my esophagus in its entirety, AND your poppyseed scone was dry as hell, I shall return. . .probably tonight. When you have to study all the time and find a place perfect for doing it, you learn to tolerate everything else.Oh, and despite how crazy loud the place was, the barista (though sweet as she was) was so inaudible! And, when she gave me my drinks, I had money in hand ready to pay, but she didn't tell me the total. .and we just stared at each other awkwardly. Good tea and great pastries: my favorite are their Napoleons.  The feng shui of the space - the waterfall and man made stream gives this potential to be the best outdoor dining at a restaurant in Beaverton that I know of.  Being this is such a nice place it is often crowded indoors and outdoors when I visit so much there are no seats. With outdoor seating comes the smokers.  For someone whose parents chain-smoked my entire childhood, this is the one downfall of the place. Cigarette smoke (from those striving to be chic or cool and who are truly clueless and inconsiderate) pollutes the air which inevitably wafts towards those preferring clean fresh air to breathe.I recommend dropping by this place if you go on days when most folks are likely to be elsewhere so you can at least get a seat.

Alright, everyone is most certainly entitled to their opinion, but I have to respectfully wonder just what anyone who gave this place less than a perfect score could possibly complain about.  I have been a regular at Ava's since their glorious inception, and even after the "Oh God!  We have a 24 hour coffee house again that's not Shari's!!" honeymoon wore off, I am still nothing short of completely impressed.Aesthetically, this has to be the most stylish and yet comfortable coffee house Beaverton has ever known.  Plenty of seating, warm lighting add up to a seriously relaxing environment where I could spend DAYS (a group of friends and I have already done so, actually) just hanging out and sampling all of their amazing coffees and herbal teas. (Might I recommend the Jasmine Pearl?)Oh yeah, and the free wi-fi is a nice touch!Outside you can kick back under some well-placed heat lamps in the winter, or during the summer months by a cooling waterfall / stream that circles half of the grounds proper.  I cannot even begin to count how many hours I have spent with friends outside of Ava's...the entire property makes you feel welcome, and leaving is often carried out with substantial reluctance. And gosh darnit-all to heck if they just don't have the nicest staff at all hours to take care of you!  They are always quick with small talk and suggestions on the more exotic of coffee flavors (some not even on the menu...)  So let's recap:1) Open 24 hours2) Amazing lounge / outdoor seating3) Did I mention it's open 24 hours?  In BEAVERTON?!4) Flavorful and aromatic coffee and tea5) Seriously, guys...it's open 24 hours!  That's an entire day in the Julian calendar!6) Free wi-fi7) Someone told me they're open 24 hours, too...8) Fun, friendly and engaging staff9) I mean, where are you going to find another place that's open for 24 hours?10) Good times.  Really good times.  Just add coffee (or tea) and friends!Highest possible recommendation?  Why yes, I do believe that would be in order.

I have been to Ava numerous times with colleagues for quick meetings out of the office. The coffee is solid, food good, but Ava fails in a big way when it comes to music.I just about spit out my coffee when they actually Rickroll'd the entire place. And I don't think it was a joke. The music really is that awful.

Great pastries! Great coffee! The patio area is wonderfully decorated with a fireplace and a waterfall that wraps around the patio!! A perfect place to relax and enjoy coffee with a friend! Service could be faster but it was personal and friendly..... and I am guessing this place is more for the relaxed person!!

A chic place to meet a friend, or catch up on daily news via the laptop over a hot cup of freshly brewed coffee.  I like supporting individually owned coffee shops not only to keep them in business, but the coffee tends to be of higher quality than those big chain shops.  Ava not only services Lattes, Caffé Americano's, and Cappuccino's, but has many tables, chairs, couches, and free Wi-Fi to allow one to fully relax 24 hours a day.

Only three stars because it's a rarity these days to find a coffee shop open 24-hours, and sadly coffee was just okay. I swear in the past it was better, but this time I felt like I was drinking a bar of chocolate for what they called an Iced Mocha. Maybe better luck next time?!

A couple of weeks ago one of the baristas, who is a really nice guy (but they're all nice there), happened to tell me when I mentioned I use a French Press at home that French Press coffee and espresso can raise cholesterol.  Health nut that I am, I had to look up peer reviewed articles when I got home.  I'm safe to keep drinking my coffee, but don't scare me like that!I frequent this place because it happens  to be by my work, the farmer's market, etc.  When I first started going here shortly after it opened, it ways almost always empty.  Now you're lucky to find a table.  Ava's pretty much the only place to get an okay cup of coffee and a pastry in downtown Beaverton. That being said, I still wish Stumptown would move out to the burbs.  I'm just too cheap to move into the city right now.  Still, give Ava's iced lattes a go or their Dark Chocolate Mochas.  If I'm in a rush, I don't mind a sandwich or cup of soup.  Stick to the basics and you're good.

The food, coffee and pastries are really excellent at AVA. I am a sucker for delicious white chocolate mochas so this place has hooked me and become my new coffee-hole. :)Open 24 hours and free wireless...just the way things should be! I had to give AVA only 4 stars cause sometimes it can be crowded, but that is because the place is nice and popular. Lots of college students and digital nomads (laptop geeks) frequent the joint. The staff has always been helpful, courteous. My wife loved the giant fruit tart I brought her home from AVA (I got brownie points for that). The place is family friendly enough for me to bring the kids thru occasionally, though it is more difficult at peak times. As other reviewers have stated, the atmosphere is good inside plus it has a very pretty waterfall out front! The music they play on the stereo inside is generally good, not too loud or annoying. I would recommend this place to my friends.
