Tons of big comfy plush couchs by MichaelMassacre

Atmosphere: Tons of big comfy plush couchs everywhere. I would say approximately 18 couchs? Big space, & nice walls covered with art from local artists. It was VERY hot inside (about 102 outside) & we had to wait 30 minutes for the actual owner to get there... So it was hot... To say the least.

Hookahs: Mya Hookahs, standard egyptians... There were 2 KMs that I did see & a couple MZs, but for the most part, just standard egyptians.

Bowls: Normal Chinese/Acrylic bowls =/...

Shisha: They have AF for the normal flavors for the $18 dollar bowls. Then $22 for the StarBuzz/Golden AF bowls

Coals: They used Roland Natural Coals. Decent, but not the greatest. I'd take a 3King over them actualy... Preferably AF Coconut naturals .

Service: First bowl tasted like crap, I got a new one (didn't pay for it, when the owner asked if I paid I just said it tasted like crap & he understood) which was a little better. First one was SB Safari Melon Dew & the guy recommended AF Orange (Thought somehow it may be good :P ). But then I got a grape/mint/plum bowl, which from experience is some of AFs decent stuff. So they were fine with mixing & it was 3-4 minutes, which was normal/fast time for a new bowl.

Prices: They charge $18 for the AF and $22 for Starbuzz. Pretty standard for a hookah lounge, especially since it's one of the only ones in the state, that I know of. Then add the $5 yearly membership they require.

Overall: I'm an everyday smoker... I have my KM, Grand Hose, Phunnel... I like the atmosphere of that hookah lounge... But the setup is so mediocre. I will definitely go back, & try it again. But I prefer Maijles Cafe in Seattle instead.
Comparable prices, but better hookahs & shisha... w/ AF Naturals

Actually, when I went last Thanksgiving it was absolutely cold! The bathrooms are gross and it sucks you have to pay a membership fee of $5. I mean I've only been there once, and it's been half a year since I bought it. If you go in a group, the shisha can be pretty cheap. It hits well, but yeah they take forever to get the coals. I think I was in there for 3 hours smoking.. bad idea.. but we were only in there so long because it seemed to take 30 mins to reload shisha and heat coals. If you're too lazy to clean up your own hookah mess, then I'd recommend here. However, it'll be cheaper and more convenient in the long run to buy your own supplies if you plan on using it occasionally or frequently.

I love the Night Owl in its new reincarnation--they should have called it the Phoenix, as it was reborn after the fire that has closed its doors for about a year now.The new Night Owl is more cautious. Sure, they don't give you your own tongs (can you blame them?), but they will come as many times as you wish to refresh your coals or adjust the placement of your coals to maximize hookah enjoyment. I like the music they play (usually a good mix of hiphop) and the people who work there are all friendly and helpful. The new couches are clean and plush and all the same, as well as easily moved to accommodate different sized groups. I kind of miss the mismatched furniture they had before, but it's nice to have a clean, comfy couch to sit on when you're relaxing here. They use Al Fakher shisha, which is the best and has awesome flavors. I love Jasmine, Rose, and Mint.

I'll never understand the hookah lounge businesses in Seattle.  This spot used to be a hookah lounge called the Rabbit Hole, complete with some pretty cool artwork and a laid-back vibe.Once they went out of business, Night Owl came into being...briefly.  Then there was a fire, then there was nothing... and now they're back!I want to be positive about this place, as it's a hookah lounge, dang it!  The hookahs are pretty standard-issue, with an $18 and $23 option, if I recall.  Here are my gripes:1) The lighting is not only too bright, but the color is exactly what they use at a thrift store or Kmart.  2) The music is far too up-tempo for this environment.  It's great to have a mix, and it doesn't need to be all reggae, but there were way too many loud, fast, popular rap songs from about 10-12 years ago.  Cool in its vintage I guess, but too out of place.  3) The staff was all strung out on something, which I generally don't care about, but it took us a long time to get seated even though we were at the front of the line.I'll probably go back, but I miss the Rabbit Hole.

I went last night with my friend just because we hadn't been to a lounge in a while and wanted to check out the new Night Owl. First thing to know is that if you were a member there before and have your old card still, you are fine. But if you signed up before the fire and don't have a card anymore, you have to pay ANOTHER $5 to become a member again :/. On to the review:

Atmosphere: It's a completely different setting than before. It has more of a modern feel to it. The new couches are pretty comfortable and don't have any burn marks on them. The room is a lot brighter now that the paintings on the windows are gone and the walls are white. The music consist of mostly hip hop, but theres a few other good songs mixed in there from other genres.

Hookahs: I think they were using MZ's, but I'm not positive on that. The hoses were Myas, but I know the hookahs weren't. Either way, they had a great pull and look pretty nice.

Bowls: Standard Egyptian style.

Shisha: They have a choice of either Starbuzz or (I think) AF. We ordered the "regular" flavor rather than the premium (Starbuzz) and the lemon/mint combo taste a lot like my AF lemon/mint I have in my own stash.

Coals: I'm not sure what type of coals they were using. At first I was thinking they were the silver tab ones, but not sure. They ashed really well and last for quite a while, so that's a plus.

Service: They are pretty good at getting your hookah to you in a timely matter, however, they don't always get over to you very fast when it is time to tell them your order. We just wound up going up to the desk and ordering what we wanted. This is not a huge deal to me, since that's how it was before and it's what I was used to anyway. The employees seem to have an uptight attitude at some points. All in all though, they are pretty good at getting the hookah, coals or a new bowl to you fairly fast.

Prices: They charge $18 for the AF and $22 for Starbuzz. Pretty standard for a hookah lounge, especially since it's one of the only ones in the state, that I know of. Then add the $5 yearly membership they require.

Overall: It's a nice place to go and just chill out with some friends every once in a while. With the prices so high though, I'd rather stay at home or go over to a friend's house and smoke out of my own hookahs. I'd rate it 7.5/10.

I wrote on the Night Owl once before as you can see in my above post. The Night Owl was out of business due to a fire from someone dropping coals on the ground. However, It IS NEWLY rebuilt and is somewhere i will go to over and over again. They changed the atmosphere by adding brand new couches and by having the lights turned on alot brighter. The couches are amazing, so comfy! and The atmosphere has changed dramatically because of these two things. There are very interesting and awesome artwork still on the walls, and it adds to the appeal even more now. This is my first time going in a VERY long time and I loved it. Honestly try it, go once and you'll love it. Trust me. And regarding the Marks post, i really would disregard it. He's just hating on something that he could never have. It takes time and dedication to get things right. I really feel that he just had a vendetta towards the guys that own it. I've talked to them many times and they are very relaxed and just want you to have a good time. I really don't know where he's coming with from in that whole post. Everything still applies. Must be 18, can buy water or gator aid. It has really been fixed up and looks very professional now. just go and you'll know why it's the best hookah lounge in Seattle. Since 2006, I have been going to many of the hookah bars, which Seattle has to offer. I have found…
