B O Espresso Reviews
by Kathleen M.
Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be moving into B O and will be living in their dessert case. If you need to find me, that is where I will be from now on. Great, great atmosphere. Bartender served us in the lounge and she was amazing. Gave us some excellent dessert recommendations. I remember eating dinner here far over a year ago and loved it. Cannot for the life of me remember what it was, but I remember I loved it! I look forward to returning to B O and knocking down a few more items from their expansive dessert menu.

Late Valentines evening me and my wife found ourselves at B O. She had mentioned this place before but for some odd reason we've never went. Strangley I was always under the impression it was just another coffee house. Yout typical cafe with a normal menu with different sized lattes, a few pastries and maybe a quiche and lasagna slice ready for heating. Oh was I ever wrong. From first entering, I was shockingly suprised to how many people where lined up to be seated. This was not your normal Capital Hill cafe. This place was huge. A deserts lovers paradise! Oh did my mouth start to water while watching the wait staff run around with trays after trays of goodness. We couldnt wait. The athomosphere of the BO Espresso was very inviting and warm. Dim lighting accompanied by a great desert and coffee menu made the whole experience much more memorable. It wasnt long until we where seated. Once recieving the menu, I couldnt help notice the vast variety of different deserts to choose from. Reminded me alot of Dilletante up the street on Broadway. Pretty much I wanted to order everything that was on the menu. I ended with up with Espresso Torte and my wife with a Chocalate Rasberry Torte. Probably one top 5 best cake I have ever had. It was that good. Moist, creamy, and scrumtious. There where other items aside from dessert and drinks on the menu. Maybe one day we can swing down here for lunch and try a hot meal or salad. Probably wont happen :) We will just end up with another slice of cake or two. If you love dessert and coffee and want to find a nice place to sit and enjoy it, B O will satisify any sweet tooth. The price per slice with drink added should cost you roughly around 10$. Not bad for the quality and nice size helping you will recieve here. Plenty to choose from, the menu should be able to find something for anyones liking. Service is great and the the place is very welcoming. Overall a great and fun establishment to dine in. Enjoy. We sure did!

This is the very first place I have eaten at in Seattle, since I was hungry bungry after my friend picked me up from the airport. It's a very charming open space, with a bar to the left right when you walk in, a bakery case (with delicious, but as of yet unsampled things inside of it) and what looked like 2 dining rooms to your right. We were quickly greeted and seated, and given water right away (though I think some of that came from the fact that they were getting water for another table, and we just managed to ride along on that train). They have a very simple menu, probably around 10 or less Breakfast/Brunch Offerings, and about the same for Lunch. They have a decent Espresso Drinks list (but then again, this IS Seattle), and a large beverage list. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, and my friend ordered the Sour Cream Waffles, along with a latte for each of us. The waitress who helped us seemed a little frazzled (she had to come by and ask us if she had taken our order), which was kind of strange, since the place was a little busy, but not completely hopping (which apparently happens on the weekends). We had to wait quite a bit of time for our drinks, but our waitress did come by to less us know that they were coming soon in the interim, which was definitely appreciated. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't also something to write home about. I wish my food had come out a little bit hotter, and that my eggs were a little bit softer (I like really runny eggs when Benedicted). It wouldn't have killed them to serve a side of toast with their potatoes as well, or given me a *slightly* more heaping side of potatoes. The "fruit salad cup" was also rather anemic. Normally, I would complain about the lack of attentive service, but my friend whom I am visiting and I were in a very engaged conversation, and so it didn't really bother me. They weren't very pushy about having us leave. I would like to return to sample something out of the glass case, but still, a solid offering in my friend's neighborhood for breakfast.

I love their cakes hence the 4starts rating. And the selection of the cakes in and on their glass case just dazzles me every time. I have to pick ONE?! So cruel. My favorite is the Lemon Chiffon Cake. It's light and not too sweet. Sadly, the price for the cakes is about $6~$7 (although I think they are a bit cheaper if you get them to go). I can only try one at a time, damn it. I plan to conquer them all in my life time. The other day, my husband and I went there a little after dinner time (well, after our dinner time). Some people in there were still eating dinner. They looked pretty good. I should try their dinner menu sometime.... but really, who cares anything else but the cakes. It's a pretty big place so probably good for a group hang out. They are also open pretty late....you can eat dessert at midnight if you want to! The only complaint is that the service is kind of slow during a day (just from my experience). I don't like to wait too long.

For a place that seems to be known more for its coffee and desserts, I have to say that 1. I didn't try their coffee and 2. The dessert I tried (red velvet cake) was average.HOWEVER...I give BO FOUR stars for its food! My friends and I shared the Middle Eastern platter which was one of the best I've ever had (and I'm extremely picky about my hummus). The veg. lasagna was absolutely another winner (and if you think I'm picky about my hummus, then you can imagine as a girl who cut her teeth on lasagna I am INSANE about that dish). It was close to perfect. To be honest, I wouldn't take off a star for the average dessert. I WOULD take off half a star for that terrible paint smell that kept wafting its way over to us (don't most places close during renovations, or am I crazy?), not to mention, OK, I'm gonna be immature and say it, half a star for the unfortunate name. That said, the food, along with the fantastically priced wine list and attentive friendly service warrant a solid four star review from this picky NYC girl!

So hands down this is one of my absolute favorite dessert places. I love the sour cream apple pie!! I order it almost every time. Also, I highly recommend the valencia mochas - so delicious! I would say the B 0 is great to go to on a date or with a small group of friends (there isn't a whole lot of space for huge tables). I did have brunch here awhile ago and this is the reason why I didn't give it 5 stars. The food was way overpriced for what you got. That being said, I'd just recommend eating here for dinner/dessert and skipping out on the brunch.

i came for the vacation and my friends took me here and the vanilla bean creme brulee was so delicious...=) i want to come back here when i come back and try other their other desserts. i love sweets! so yummy! =)
by corey g.
This was a nice place to cap off an excellent night. I simmered down with a latte which was pretty good. I think the real catch here is their desserts though. I think we ordered four desserts between all of us, and we "passed the dutchie to the left hand side". I honestly can't remember each dessert, but the creme brulee: c'est magnifique! If I could, I'd give this place 3.5 stars. The other thing, my friend was saying this establishment's time is running out. Apparently, it is on the slab to get replaced by condos! That's wrong I say, wrong!!

Imagine a Saturday where the unfolding moments converge into the rare pattern of decadence, indulgence, and productivity. Morning coffee and yoga class? Ninety-minute massage? Evening walk to Verizon to replace a broken phone? Trip to Metropolitan Market to stock up on cheeses, fruit, wine, and various sundries?Such a full and varied day deserves to be honored with a lovely ending. And here I don't really mean dinner or bed. What I mean is dessert....Because that's what matters. And BO Espresso delivers. Imagine a case full of cakes, mousses, and pastries of all glorious sorts. Tiramisu towering several inches high. Black Muddy River mousse encased in ganache, spiked with orange. Brioche Bread Pudding studded with berries, drizzled with whiskey. Dulche de Leche bars. I could go on and on.I COULD go on and on, because my server's suggestion to my statement of needing a few moments to decide was "Well, why don't you go look at the dessert case?" That, let me say, did not narrow a damn thing down....If you are not in the mood for dessert, I have little time for you. Even so, the rest of the menu has a nice Mediterranean influence; my eggplant dish was tasty and very fresh, and there were other tempting dishes on the list that I'd love to check back and try. The location is great; there's a small patio out front, and big windows all around if you're sitting inside, and it feels like a holdover from some smaller town whirled around and set down in Capitol Hill. Not too busy on a Saturday at 6:30, although by the time we left around 8 the tables, and the dessert plates, were filling up!

I'm always on a hunt for amazing desserts and I always forget that BO has pretty good food too. But this isn't a savory review - its a sweet review.Even though we had just finished dinner in Lynnwood we decided to make the long trek back downtown, fight for parking on Capital Hill just to experience the wonder that is the BO chocolate pot and their great coffee. Even though the chocolate pot was a topic of conversation on the drive down my wife and I settled on the raspberry torte cake and the sour cream lemon custard pie. Without being too windy about this - both desserts were awesome. The coffee was rich and bold and the atmosphere was exactly what I wanted after a long week. It definitely made up for having to pay $5 for parking since apparently everyone in Seattle was on Capital Hill tonight.
by Glory H.
I have all ways loved this place, great coffee and treats. The atmosphere is awesome. I finally had some food there. I didn't expect much but it was actually good.
by Priscilla N.
I know this place is supposed to be all about the desserts - and the creme brulee I had the other day was so rich and creamy and yummy and... well, I can see why people go on and on about the desserts - however I come here for brunch whenever possible, because BO has THE best corned beef hash I've ever had. Truly. Home made, amazing flavor and just the right amount of salty (not too much, not too little). Anyone who likes corned beef hash, really must try it.The service is great, the atmosphere is comfortable and the acoustics are such, that even when it's totally crowded, I can hear my tablemates perfectly well without any of us having to yell.I'd like to take off only 1/2 star for the bathroom (the women's at least, I haven't seen the men's), but don't seem to be able to do that, so a star it is. The teeny tiny black white tiles on the counter top make me dizzy every time I go in there (I feel for anyone in there with a hangover or heaven forbid an actual buzz); and the sink spouts are so close to the side of the sinks that I'm always brushing my hands against them as I'm washing (not super hygienic). But the bathroom is kept clean even when it's busy, so that is a definite plus. Shy of those little bathroom issues though, this place is my very favorite brunch spot.

I haven't been here in a long time, but I love this place. I used to come here all of the time. The caramel shakes are amazing, as are the deserts. It's very cute and there are lots of fun little couches and things to sit on.
by collin h.
Friendly service and good food, but both times I have been there I have accidentally been overcharged. This most recent time was an extra $40 on an $18 bill! One time I can overlook, but twice is just lazy or incompetent employees. I won't be going back to BO.
by Sharon K.
It pains me to give 3 stars instead of the 4 that it deserves but the fact that there were 8 of us sitting in the middle of the dining area with NO servers acknowledging our presence for probably more than 10 minutes was just too much to bear. I've came here a few years ago and really enjoyed the desserts that I had then and so as a bridal shower group, we came to B O to enjoy the sweets they have. We were all ready to order, doing our best to make eye contact with ANY server (there were at least 4 that were walking around us) until finally I had to grab one server that was running by to ask if she could locate our server for us. We ordered a wide variety of cake slices and drinks (teas, coffee, hot chocolate). I ordered the white chocolate cake with raspberry sauce. Although the tanginess did add a nice touch to the cake, I don't think I'd pay $1 extra for it again. I'm not much of a raspberry fan in general. The cake was not too heavy-feeling and the white chocolate was not too sweet nor tasteless-it was perfect! I got to try some of the fruit tart (or maybe it was a strawberry tart since that was all i saw on it) and it was also very tasty-very sweet but not overpoweringly sweet. The thing that irked me about our server was the fact that he didn't provide very good service other than the basic requirements of his position. I'm wondering if the fact that gratuity was already included in our bill was the main factor for his apathy. I guess it could also be that it was getting closer to closing time and he didn't want to give us a reason to linger. Boo for service but yay for desserts!
by Eric R.
I love this place. Great beer selection and even greater food. The steak tacos plate and the salmon salad are WONDERFUL. I've ordered both a couple times each and been more than satisfied every time. The meat is always good and moist, the flavors are complex and delicious, and the portions are just right for me--not enormous, but generous enough.I'm not a dessert guy, but they have some tasty treats as well. ;-)

For the last half decade of my life, I have been deeply committed to BO Espresso. We have gotten to the point in our relationship where I would wrong her if I didn't propose. However, Washington laws are not so keen on men marrying bakeries... nor are they fans of the American Pie films (personal aside: I don't do that to my baked goods... because I prefer them to be in my belly) But still, if I can marry this restaurant, then I totally would. We've been through good times (Chocolate Raspberry Torte, Vanilla Bean Crème Brulee, Black Muddy Rivers, Fresh Fruit Tart, Chocolate Pot Souffle, and Tiramisu) and bad times (White Chocolate Cake and the luke-warm curry soup). We even managed to stay together when she threatened to move out and away from my life. I'm glad she reconsidered and decided to stay where she rightfully belongs - on Belmont and Olive. Although my BO has some flaws, I still love her with all my heart... and you should too.

I've been here twice now and really loved it. It's the atmosphere that does it for me: dark, soothing, and intimate. I would bring a book here, or a friend for a long overdue catch up session. The service and bar is attentive but not pushy..more relaxed and laid back. I like specialty coffee drinks but am not a huge coffee person, so the valencia mocha was perfect. And I was surprised that I scarfed down a huge slice of tiramisu all my myself. Had a taste of my friend's Muddy River and it was heavenly rich, creamy, and decadent.

Hello, my name is Valentina V, and I'm addicted to desserts. I'm also addicted to cakes. My hands tremble at the sight of cookies and gelato. Or Rumballs! Rumballs in Seattle? Yes, THEY HAVE RUMBALLS!*The reviewer has to take 30 minutes off because her Dude just put her straitjacket on, until the sugar fever attack passes*Hello, I'm back.Turkish coffee! German Chocolate Cake! Latte with Ghirardelli chocolate, house made caramel and whipped cream! BO cocoa, made with chocolate ganache and topped with real whipped cream! BO espresso mousse torte! For the LOVE of God, Brioche Bread Pudding! Profiteroles au Chocolat! LOUIS GATEAU cake (almond sponge torte layered with coffee butter cream)! They have Louis Gatêau cake...*tears of joy**Breathes-in, breathes-out, repeats, repeats*I think I'm going to faint. The only think they need to put, in the middle of that delightful, French-inspired, quaint space, is a chocolate pool. Then I'll be forever there, trying one dessert a day, and taking a morning plunge.Thank you Lord, for allowing dreaming to be free. And for BO good, good Turkish Coffee.¡Delicioso!

Best desserts with coffee around. Which is to say, if you want great coffee with a great dessert, this is the place. Slightly more upscale than the other espresso shops around, so nicer for a date. If you simply want the best coffee / espresso / latte, this is maybe in the top ten, but not the best. Higher prices than the other places I get my espresso, but like I said, a little more upscale. Parking a pain, but that's not their fault. U District, ya know.
by jinny b.
I love this place. The atmosphere is so art deco and their shakes are to die for. Still the best eggs Benedict I have ever had, even better than Glo's and that's saying a lot. My only complaint is the breakfast potatoes. They are usually dry and everyone knows that hash browns are where it's at but I forgive the potatoes because everything else is great. Service is average. It's a great 1st date place if you can get a booth away from the rest of the crowd.

Delectable Desserts...A friend of mine told me we had to go here. There dessert menu was phenomenal. It had over 20 desserts on it. I decided to go with a Creme Brulee, but considered these others:le poire rouge - 7.25pear poached in merlot wine, served with spice reduction sauce and french vanilla ice creamprofiteroles au chocolat - 7.25a paris treat! cream puff shells filled with french vanilla ice cream sitting in a puddle of rich chocolate saucewhite chocolate cake - 7.25with buttercream frosting and filling! raspberry sauce highly recommended - add 1.00louis gatêau - 7.25almond sponge torte layered with coffee buttercream
by Chris T.
Been here 3 times, and I can summarize in a couple points:* overpriced ( two scrambled egg, ONE slice of toast cut in half, and a 4 piece "fruit cup" for $10.95???)* quality of food is nothing special, on par with Denny'sStill have yet to figure out why people like this place.
by Janny W.
I haven't been in a while, but BO used to be THE place my friend and I would go for late night coffee, desserts and girl talk. I've tried quite a few of their desserts, but I don't have a favorite. I remember being underwhelmed by the Tiramisu though, because I'm not a fan of Tiramisu-cakes.BO has a nice atmosphere, however, service can be a bit slow.

This place brings back some nice memories. My now fiancé and I dated long distance for awhile, and on one of my visits to Seattle several years ago, he picked me up from the airport around 11:00 PM and whisked me away to B O Espresso for a late night snack. When we arrived at B O this past weekend for brunch, again en route directly from the airport, it took me a minute to realize that I had been there before.I love the corner location and the red, funky interior.I ordered 2 eggs over medium, a side of BACON!, and a latte. That first bite of bacon was incredible. A thick, non-greasy, non-fatty bite of heaven. Wow, that was some good bacon. Good thing the side order came with 3 pieces! The eggs were just standard. The latte was flavorful and was served hot enough for me.Attentive, friendly, chatty, but not too chatty server.I do wish prices were a little less expensive, but when I'm in Seattle again, I'd return here just for that bacon.

The first time I went to BO, a table of people left, because they'd been waiting half an hour for their drinks. The waitress had a hard time believing that they were so impatient. Something like that happens about half the times I've been at BO, which, given my close proximity and predilection for dessert, is probably about once a week. So... my review? The dessert is great. The food is ok. The wait staff is, by and large, too cool to care about getting you anything until you've been there so many times that they know you.
by Trance A.
ok, this review is really for the Bar 41 side. I've never sampled the B O side. My mates and I went to Bar 41 for happy hour the other week. I'm glad to try a new place, but won't be back here. Why...1) bartender overworked. they need more staff. he was trying to wait the bar, wait tables in the bar area and also service the waitstaff over at the BO side. There should have been at least 1 or 2 other warm bodies to do this work.2) Bartender was either really stoned or just disorganized. Ended up that it was super slow service, afraid he'd lose my card. Pretty much would have spent more money if the service would have been better/faster.3) got some happy hour food. I've made better when I'm drunk at 2 am and I only have what's remaining in the fridge after not shopping for a month. 4) two stars for ambiance and potential. I'd love to see them do better and make this a great place to go.

AMAZING deserts! Expensive but truly tasty.. Good for brunch! The menu for food is not extensive, the only thing I would be willing to eat was the eggs and bacon breakfast deal..small portion but perfect if you want a nice slice of cake afterwards. My recommendation: Try the FRUIT TART or the Raspberry chocolate torte!!!!

So a couple weeks ago my wife and I were taking a walk, seeing what we could do to try and induce labor naturally. She decided she wanted some cake and wanted it from BO.:::Lesson to soon to be fathers:::When your wife is past her due date and wants to go to the site of a previous trangression, you don't say "Remember the shitty service last time?" you say "Sounds good honey."I thought about saying the first, but I kept my mouth shuit and we were pleasantly rewarded.Liz had a blueberry tart and a cheesecake of some sort, I had devils food. The bakery service was nice, attentive and quick, and the cakes were excellent, albiet a bit too rich. The first experience was still so dissapointing that this second good trip can only push it up to three stars. I once went in here with my wife and it was not a good experience. We came in near the end of their…

I'm convinced that the baristas sprinkle little drops of heaven upon each drink they create.Ok. Maybe that's a bit overboard, but I stand by the fact that I have yet to taste a better white mocha in my life, and I...well, I've tried a bajillion of them at this point. This place is nothing short of amazing. I'm finding myself more than willing to trot up those massive hills from Belltown to Capitol Hill just to meet my friends for quick cups of coffee, or for a relaxing, slow Saturday morning brunch at BO.When I first moved here, I would walk by this place and be deterred by the name. The letters B and O are not ones I necessarily want to associate with food and good drinks. But I can assure you, there is nothing in this place that stanks. My recommendations on food and beverage: Check out the white mocha. No, seriously. Try it at least once. And, if you're feeling bold, share some bread pudding with a friend. Emphasis on share - the serving is DLKFjlajkj2wreo ridiculous. And, if you want a fancy brunch, and I know you do, treat yourself to the oatmeal. It's served with an assortment of delightful treats to mix in. You kind of feel like a queen eating it.So, yes. BO Espresso. Visit it. Drink it. Eat it. Love it. Yes.

If you have allergies and/ or are chemical sensitive I would avoid this restaurant all around. The bathroom reeks from one of those glade plug-ins and there are smokers all around entrances especially at night. Hey BO Stop polluting the entire block! Take charge of your entrances and enforce the non-smoking law.
by Michael M.
Let me give you some advice. If your waiter or waitress asks you if you want to see a dessert menu, say no. You don't need it. You have somewhere you have to be, namely, B O Espresso.B O Espresso is the perfect place to hang out and talk after a long day or just enjoy a dessert, some coffee, or a cup of tea. You need to show your lady friend how smooth you are? Bring her here after a nice meal and share something sweet. You're welcome in advance.

You know in Sex in the City, how the girls have the coffee shop as their hangout? This is where my girlfriends and I used to go before we all moved on with our lives and apart from one another. I used to live around the corner from this place too, which helped as I had extra parking at my apartment.Anyhow, the chocolate pot is amazing. It is one of my favorite desserts, if not the favorite...and I'm trying to open a bakery! This is the one dessert I refuse to share with anyone. I politely offer to share it with the boyfriend at times, but he's smart enough to decline. When the girlfriends and I get our chocolate pots, all conversations are on hold until we have licked the ramekin clean, I kid you not. I've tried other desserts, and while they're all good, it's not the chocolate pot.We used to come here so often in the afternoon, when it was less crowded, that the owner's wife became our "other mom." She would rush to us with club soda when one of us would spill sauce on our white shirts, she knew that one of my friends was allergic to vegetables, and would instead put all of her veggies onto our vegetarian friend's plate, and even once scolded me and said, "you don't eat enough and are way too skinny. I'm not taking this plate away until you eat at least two more bites!"I love this place. Service can be slow, but they also don't kick you out after your desserts have been licked clean and you're all still sitting around laughing and enjoying each others' company.
by Lori M.
I have only been here for dessert on a girls night out. The dessert counter was great though! The display case was so packed full of a variety of things to drool at. Come here if you're looking to pick up something sweet for your sweet tooth!
by Kenya C.
The coffee, dessert and ambience here are all lovely. The breakfast is stellar, too. This is a cozy place to be on a rainy day. It has a sort of crumbling elegance which is very "Seattle" to me. The only drawbacks are the lackluster staff and pretty awful lunch and dinner. You come here for coffee and dessert!!! As long as you stick to this rule, you will love this place as much as I do.
by J R.
On Saturday night I came here with 3 other people for dessert. I ordered the red velvet cupcake, my friend ordered the chocolate pot and the two guys with us both ordered the bread pudding. Everything was just "ok". I've definitely had better desserts at other establishments. I was extremely disappointed with the red velvet cake because it was a tiny portion, the bread was dry, and did not have the cream cheese frosting as they do at most places. The frosting here was more "buttery" in taste. The chocolate pot was so so. My boyfriend's brother's homemade souffle is 10 times better. He even serves it with vanilla ice cream. At BO, the chocolate pot is served with a spoon full of cream here, similar to whip cream. The bread pudding was partially cold, and not warm throughout. It was hard to taste the liquor sauce which is what one of the selling points for the guys' choice in dessert. The service was extremely slow and our waiter seemed a little spaced out. As an out of towner, I don't think I'll be recommending this place to any of my friends traveling to Seattle. Even if I lived close by, I wouldn't come back....

When I first started coming here, I loved it. And I came a lot, at least once a week. But after a while I started noticing some of their many flaws. Firstly, their food, desserts, and coffee are all very expensive. When I went (usually during dinner), my bf and I would get two dinner entrees, two americano's, and a dessert to share and we would be looking at a good $40 (including tax and tip.) My biggest problem was that my bf's family has been coming here for over 20 years and so we have to tip well, even when the service is grossly unenthusiastic. The portions are also very small (once I got the waffle breakfast which comprised of a very thin waffle, a spoonful of jam and a thimble of fruit, and I mean THIMBLE.) Also, the wait can be horrendous at time. The food (not matter how ridiculously smalled portioned it is) is great, the desserts are even better (but even smaller portioned), and the coffee is pretty consistent (although I have had burnt tasting coffee here). FYI, don't come here without getting dessert, the chocolate raspberry torte is my fav., so good I've considering ordering it for my wedding.Best part? There's a guy who works here (or did, I haven't been back in a while) who has long black hair and is relatively young who cleans the tables and refills your water, I have never had my glass of water less than half full when he's around. Also, the setting and atmosphere is very romantice, think candles, fresh flowers and lace tablecloths. Oh, the bathroom is disgusting, and there's never a working toilet. Cheers.

Years ago I used to live right down the street from this Capital Hill landmark and spent countless hours enjoying the coffee, treats and atmosphere. I absolutely love that this place has withstood the test of time and has even improved by adding a lounge/bar area!A friend and I made our way here and ducked out of the rain to find a cozy rustic and artsy atmosphere in which to warm up and embibe on a Sunday afternoon. We parked ourselves at the bar and a very friendly and accomodating bar tender walked us through the menu. Upon parousing the offerings and discussing their coffee cocktail options, this wonderful gentleman went about making me one of the best Spanish Coffees I've had in far too long! Complete with fire side show and a smile! This wasn't even on the menu but he had worked on a cruise ship so knew how to make one. How is that for 5 star service?!We ended up staying caught up in conversation for a few hours, our bar tender's shift ended but he was sure to fix us some follow up cocktails before he left. I ended up with a lovely, not too sweet, Chocolate Martini that was divine! We had the whole lounge area to ourselves however they were sure to check on us regularly. This was the perfect end to the weekend and you can be sure I'll be back soon. I'm embarrassed that I have forgotten our wonderful bar host's name, Justin or Jason? Must have been the booze but he was fabulous and I recommend you pay him a visit!

This is so not the place to go if you are watching your waistline. But definitely the place to take a shot.... A shot of espresso that is. Don't forget to try one of their many exceptional desserts. Pies, cakes, cremes, souffles... Oui. Oui.Awesome spot to meet a friend for a nonalcoholic adult beverage with some sugar to go with.

Oui. Oui.Awesome spot to meet a friend for a nonalcoholic adult beverage with some sugar to go with.Oh, BO! Where have you been all my life?? I am in love!!Most delicious items in the whole wide world:BO mochachocolate souffleGawd. I love everything about this place. How can you not love coffee and dessert? You're right! It's impossible. Therefore! You cannot NOT love BO Espresso.Years ago I used to live right down the street from this Capital Hill landmark and spent countless hours enjoying the coffee, treats and atmosphere. I absolutely love that this place has withstood the test of time and has even improved by adding a lounge/bar area!A friend and I made our way here and ducked out of the rain to find a cozy rustic and artsy atmosphere in which to warm up and embibe on a Sunday afternoon. Must have been the booze but he was fabulous and I recommend you pay him a visit! Cheers.
