i have eaten indian food at many location in US but the food quality recently has been bad at saffron. Also they were fooling customers with serving beef as lamb kebabs, which was complained and so they stopped serving for a bit. Also they charge for stupid items, chutney or just ask a few sliced onions they charge 3 dollars for that which is really stupid. As in west palm we dont have many option for indian food still India palace on okechobee is better than this.bpatel

Ok I'm not sure what in the world happened when I was here last week but the service has taken a complete nose dive. We must have waited 40 minutes before they even took our order! I was really peeved considering I had told my family how wonderful this place was, only for the service to be some of the worst I've had in a while. We flagged our waiter at one point to order refills, only for him to completely forget. It wasn't until we asked for the bill that he asked about our refills. By that point we were all really disappointed with the overall service and just told him to forget it.Although the food is still incredible, they really need to work on the service. Sucks that one of my favorite places tanked the way it has. I have yet to have Indian food elsewhere after going here. Unfortunately I've moved further south…

The restaurant is new and modern with some traditional Indian touch. I was pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant on business trip.  One of the best tasting lamb vindaloo. The vindaloo was custom made super spicy yet it didn't take away the good flavor of the curry. The lamb morsels were tender and not dry. The madras chicken curry was delicious as well. The mixed vegetable curry was kinda lame as it was just strips of peppers and potatos, tasted like a dish where the meat was all picked out. I highly recommend to people in the West Palm Beach area. Service is commentable!

we went back to saffron last night.  it was too early for the belly dancer (sadly) but the food was wonderful.  we had the mixed platter appetizer which came with 2 samosas, lentil fritters, some fried onion patties (i don't remember the name), something else that was basically fried curried potato (so incredibly good), and some veggies fried in batter (think tempura).  at first, our waiter was terse and not very helpful - when we were discussing what to order, he kept telling us he thought we'd be happier ordering a simple chicken dish.  very much NOT what we were in the mood for.  finally, other staff came over and answered our questions and made recommendations.  our waiter did redeem himself later in the meal when his attitude about us seemed to change.  everyone else was incredibly nice and helpful.for the entree, we ordered the mixed tandoori platter, mah ki dal, and garlic naan.  i am not a fan of lamb, but the lamb chops on the platter were excellent.  for dessert we ordered gulab jamun (which i have had before at other restaurants).  it was very good.  of course, i had 2 cups of their wonderful chai as well.higher priced than other indian restaurants, but overall the selection is nice (no beef - so no nihari to be found) and tasty! I enjoyed this restaurant.  The night we went, there was a belly dancer.  The food was good - lots…

http://www.saffronpalm...I really do not like to write about anything that does not make a positive impression on me. Lord knows there are so many places that make negative ones! I cant compare myself to those that frequent eating out. Probably because I have been on a diet most of my life (ha).I am going to recommend this establishment for the LUNCH BUFFET. Yes, here we go again with the prized buffets and deals I live for! You are going to get close to 10 sterling silver hot plates with just about everything you can imagine for lunch. Add the hot flat bread brought to your table (I'm sure it is called something else) and you got a meal to die for, under $30.00 with 2 beverages ordered separately.I have read others reviews for the dinner related menu but I cannot comment. No doubt some variation may appear at the buffet. They offer various Curry sauces that you can make a separate plate of and experiment with on your food. Some hot and some not...They also offer soup and some very different tasting desert.I was not sure I would like the food the first time but I did and so we recently re-visited. Just be aware that by nature, this type of food tends to be spicy. If you don't mind that, then there will be plenty of dishes to try and you can decide for yourself. I just don't think you can beat this type of cuisine and atmosphere for a lunch buffet price.

Visiting Saffron was a nice change of pace.  Calming and quite setting when we went in early evening.  It's set in a Publix strip mall but is well decorated to make you forget where you are.  We had the samosa appetizer to start with which went well with the traditional indian Chutneys.  My date had the Jan-e-nasheen Kofta Curry which had a nice spicey kick.  The Indian beer they had to choose from was a basic lager style nothing to hoppy or malty.  Make sure you check out the menu online before you go so that you have an idea of what you want since some of the waitstaff may have a little trouble communicating well.

VERY cute inside. Decor is nice and up to date. Organized and one of the nicest Indian Restaurants I've been in (Cosmetically). The food was very good! Not the best but good. Spicy and herbs were perfect. I went with 7 friends and it made a good night for all of us. The Lamb Samosa, Chicken Curry, Shrimp Vindaloo, Gosht Bhuna  were all very tasty... And I almost NEVER eat lamb but it was too good to pass up! My friend was Indian and took the liberty of ordering 95% of the food and asking the staff to put together an app. platter of variety of meats. I ordered the Murgh Sag (since I am dieting and it is the least fattening) it was sooo tasty! The Eggplant Bhartha, Chicken Tikka Masala, and everything else were truly unique. We ordered everything spicy. For dessert we all tried the Ramali and something else that was like a semi-sweet cheese. Oh, and of course we ordered Naan, which is ALWAYS a tasty side dish!   The staff were nice and attentive to our drinks, etc. Bathroom was clean. We stayed about 1 hr after they closed and were in no rush to get us out. They sat and talked as we did the same. The music they played, while we were eating, was very fun and interesting. I have NEVER before heard of "World Hold On" in Indian Version! My friend said on the weekends they have belly dancers. Good for a date, families, or groups. Higher priced then most of the Indian places I've been to. Safe location. Will return to again!

Very good food. I thought the service was a bit slow however. It took about an hour after we placed our order to get the food. Not a big deal for me. The food was above average for an Indian restaurant.

This place is simply gorgeous! The booths are perfect for the private date feel. The staff is extremely friendly and on top of things.I've had a bunch of the appetizers and a few of the chicken dishes. And naan. Can't forget that! It's all been amazing and flavorful. The garlic chicken and tandoori chicken are fantastic.I'm not sure if they still do it or not, but they used to have a belly dancer in on one weekend night, and a sitar player in on the other weekend night. Excellent touch!
