The Cottage has gone through "phases" since it opened but all-in-all is pleasant and usually lively. The food is palatable but sometimes a little slow to come out and the cocktails are expensive. Their best kept secret is the bottle of house Chardonnay for twenty-two bucks. Shh! They'll put the price up. Outside is the best (only worthwhile) place to sit and they have mosquito repellent behind the bar if you ask - useful in Summer. I'm becoming a regular.

I really like this place... And the crowd is a lively young crowd the place is modern looking with everything being all open and they usually have a dj or something with really good music... And sometimes they break out the hookah pipes... Its a fun place to eat tapa style...  We get a bunch of things and all share and get drunk.. Im surpirsed this place hasn't had better reviews....

The food here is great! The atmosphere is really nice as well.  The menu could certainly use some more plates, but what is there is nice. For this I would give them a 4.The first couple of times that I went to The Cottage the service was decent, but it went downhill from there. Every time we went after those first few times the service sucked! This all came to a boiling point one day last spring. I went here for lunch and afternoon drinks... it took over an hour and a half to get a cold wrap! We left having to explain to the manager why he was going to comp the food because he wasn't offering. For this I would give them a 1 without regard to the food.On a lark my girlfriend and I were looking for some food downtown and tell the hostess what a bad time we had the last times and we wanted to know if things had improved. She promised us good service  so we gave it a shot. We got top notch service, but I am not sure if you have to ask for it to get it. We might go back to check.Since I had a good experience there last time I will give them a 3.

I was kind of excited when the Cottage opened up, they had the potential to bring some fresh dining ideas to Lake Worth. I went there several times within there first few months of business and loved it. The food was good and showed the promise that within a year or so the Chef would ease into his role and really develop some stellar dishes. The atmosphere is quite nice, the outdoor area is really the place to sit... beautiful, softly lit, really cushy chairs gave a relaxed atmosphere which was cozy. Then something changed, and not knowing the dynamics of the business, I couldn't even speculate what that might be. The service became progressively more lousy. Cold food, inattentive servers and bartenders who didn't know the basics of what liquors/wines/beers they were serving. The last straw for me was when my girlfriend and I went on a slow night, only three tables were occupied. Our food came out stone cold, and we could not find our server anywhere. Finally we ended up going to the bar to order our drinks. It was ridiculous.I'm giving two stars instead of one because of the fond memories of the way this place used to be. I haven't returned in several months, maybe they've fixed their problems? Hopefully?

Drinks, yes. Food, no. It's not that the food is bad, it's just not that good and it takes forever to get. Add in that this place has the absolute WORST service *ever* and you'll thank me. If this place wasn't so much fun to hang out at, there would be no way they'd be able to stay open. The owners are very cool and their infused tequila goes down easy, but they HAVE to fix their service.

The cottage has a great outdoor bar and outdoor seating that is comfortable.   Although the inside looks nice, it smells like raw sewage.  Unfortunately, the food isn't very good either.  I had the macadamia encrusted mahi mahi, but it was covered with fruit that turned the crust into mush.  It was served with a rice pilaf that was overcooked and mushy and shaped into a cone with what I can only assume was a funnel.  Lastly, the creme brulee tasted like scrambled eggs.
