love this place - food is good (sushi fusion), although overpriced (so I tend to eat else where and come for hookah and drinks! - try the MANGO martini!!)  very eastern European crowd - good space. dark - great for dates.  if you have 6 people or more, you can get the private room (if available) and Friday and Saturday nights there is a belly dancer. bright blue fish tank in the wall - can't miss it. and big golden Buddha is the focal point of the main room. Good space.

Tabu was my first hookah lounge experience on the East Coast :) and i enjoyed it a lot! Very relaxing atmosphere, fantastic sushi (I mean it fantastic!), very nice, polite waitstaff. They had a wide selection of cocktails too, and they make pretty good mohitos (i'm a big fan of the latter and it's often not easy to make it right for me (not strong enough/too strong/not sweet enough/too sweet... ) - this place made it just right!). Where i'm from it's not common to serve sushi at a hookah place, and i was certainly not expecting it, so when i found out they serve it there i was just thrilled! Definitely going back next time i'm in the area!

Never knew there was a place that had hookahs so close towhere I live. Although, don't think I've ever actually looked for one :)Nice place with a relaxed atmosphere. Long list of martinis, which is always a plus, but quality is just a bit above average. Sushi was pretty good. Overall, don't know if I would come here on a weekend, but a great place to relax and have a few drinks during the week.
