I had one of the best random Thursday nights of my life in New York here a couple of weeks ago.A group of us found ourselves with our Dancin' Shoes on and a friend suggested we hit this place up. We did....and because we did...we ended up dancing all night. Smiles all around. The night I went there was no velvet rope, no BS. Just cool people sweating, dancing, and lovin' life. Amen. Woot. Woot.

I don't if it was in the stars but everyone we ran into was heading to sway. Sexy crowd and throw in some bscure Morrissey tracks=good times.

Came here with a bachelorette party. We had reserved a table and gotten bottle service. They had a nice semi-circle couch area, and then when our party needed extra space, they brought over some extra chairs. Service was spot-on, as they were always on top of our ice and mixer needs, and had our next bottle coming as soon as the first one was on its last legs. The decor was interesting, middle eastern feel. The DJ had an interesting music progression throughout the night. He started out playing songs that I have no idea what they were... the only way I can describe them is a mix between emo and alternative -- this was around 11:15pm. As the night went on he started playing songs from the late 90s... think Buckcherry, Eve 6, etc. A little later in the night it then progressed to hip-hop, and 80s music... songs that make you want to get up and dance.Normally for the table service they ask 1 bottle per 4 people. We had a group of 13, but lucky for us they didn't make us purchase a 3rd or 4th bottle... let us just have the two, which is good because no one could have handled any more alcohol.I would go back to this spot again, it was a good time, and I really liked having our little seating area.

Imagine you walk into a place filled with people who have just started Lexapro...and its kicked in. One of the happier bars Ive ever been to. Its pizzacked beyond bizzlief but who cares. The music on any given night (I went on a Saturday) is awesome and the people are incredibly carefree. There is no necessity for bottle and models here, its just a really cool spot with decent priced drinks that you're almost guaranteed to have a good time at. The door can get ridiculous, but I've never had a problem getting in...as a guy...by myself, or with others. I will say that that they have been part of a new and growing Curb Your Enthusiasm door policy which goes something like this : Door girl : "Hey are you here for a party?"Me (Tipsy): "No?"Door Girl (after 3 second pause): "OK Come in"Its literally the most ridiculous policy and so many places are doing the same thing. I dont even know if I should answer yes or no to the party question anymore. I used to answer yes, and get in...sometimes. Now if I answer yes, I don't know if I have a better chance of getting in than saying "No". This is all too much for me. Anyway, great spot. I would definitely recommend it.

Woot.I like this bar particularly because there are 2 other decent ones right next door and across the street. So if one spot's not happening, you can always wander over somewhere else. The doormen are nice guys, but it's not the easiest place to get into, esp. after 1. I don't know what the drinks cost because.. I never buy my own drinks here! So that's a plus for the ladies. Plus there's no cover... which is awesome.People get kicked outta here for disturbing others, so if you have rowdy friends who can't control themselves.... make sure someone has cab fair to get them home. Females are excluded from this. The coat check here sucks, prob. the worst ever. It's located downstairs with no one manning it, I would def. not bring my nicest bags or coats here for someone else to nab. Aside from that, this place doesn't look as posh or exclusive as they say it is, it's rather small, narrow, and kinda dingy if you ask me, but it is a good time. And that's all that matters.Small hole in the wall packed with wall-to-wall people. I went there expecting hip hop music on a Friday night in a nice mysterious setting. Instead I found eighties music that I did not realize was there to stay until George Michael's faith came on, then I knew it was over. Good, and reasonable drinks and interesting people to watch and chat with. I would use this as a fall back if nothing else was jumping off in the city or I just did not want to spend a lot of time thinking about it.So my lady friends and I ended up here after dinner on a Friday night. We had no issues getting in. At first, it was kind of dead.....then all of a sudden out of no where it was like 'Night at the Roxbury', we were surrounded by dancing fools! After a few shots of course everything gets better!!! Oh lawd this place is like hookup central - I witnessed a lot of make out sessions here. Great place if you like to dance cause there were ppl dancing at the bar on the couches in the bathroom lol I think they would have danced in the coat check if that was allowed. Very entertaining to say the least. Was at Sway last night for a private party...I hadn't been here in a long time, but as soon as I walked in I remembered it as one of my favorite downtown spots. Very comfortable, excellent service, and great tunes (although I did hear some repeats...maybe I stayed too long!). Sway is a good, friendly, down-to-earth lounge. Check it out.

I am coming back here for my birthday! I went for a friend's birthday, and after the St. Germain martini, lemon-drops, glass of champagne, and a scotch (this was the second time I decided I drink scotch), I was on the dance floor with a very hot and attractive man whose name I don't quite recall. The photos of the evening are to die for. Most include my head "swaying" to one side. Good thing my friend who posted them on facebook made the album PRIVATE.

Used to go here for Smiths/Moz night a few years ago. Not one for "lounges" now but the drinks were good and the people didn't suck. The music, however, was superb.

This is place is my never fail back up. Every night is a great night. It's a place to come with friends and meet new people. I can't even count how many times I've saved a boring night by coming here.

Saturday night this place was packed. They have the usual beefy door guy and a "list", though I'm not sure why this place needs a "list"...it's nothing special. Inside I found cheesy decor, a bizzare DJ (Tom Petty followed by 50 cent?), and no dance floor. Also the music was so loud that my ears were ringing when I left and were still muffled when I woke up the next morning.Boo, hiss!
