i always have a great time at chueca when i go .. if latina girls are your thing .. you'd definatly love this place .. ask the bartender to make you a shot .. and she'll give u the best tasting shot u ever had .. not too strong tho .. i have yet to leave chueca drunk...but nevertheless a great place to go

Chueca is billed as a Latina Lesbian bar and it's way out in Woodside queens so it gets a different crowd than cubbyhole or cattyshack. I've been to Chueca 2x times now. Once it was almost empty on a rainy Thursday night in January. Last night it was packed. It got really crowded late, at around 1am. Anyway, it's a fun time. The bartenders are super-nice and gorgeous. On the weekend there's a big dance floor (pool table during the week) so you can dance. The music is a mix of salsa, reggae, hip hop and some cheesy pop music to even things out. If it's your first time, the bartenders will give you a free chueca shot which they light on fire and you drink through a straw while it is still flaming blue. Coronas are $5, which seems reasonable. Cover on the weekend (or at least last night) is $10, which is annoying, but cover is always annoying and happens anywhere with a dance floor and lesbians. They also have hookahs.
