Uhh, perfection?  Yes, close to it.  At least when the two diners in question have varying dietary preferences (i.e. one vegetarian, one omnivore).  We both chose excellent dishes (actually, everything we got was vegetarian, but my dining companion didn't seem to mind or even notice).  Everything--the red lentil soup, fried zucchini pancakes, Turkish okra, and spinach with yogurt sauce--was beautifully presented and absolutely YUMMY!  The desserts were a bit too sweet, but still fun to try.  I'd highly recommend this restaurant, followed by a walk on the Brooklyn Heights Promenade.

I had not been to Taze for a couple of years, and remembered it as reasonably good and inexpensive. It's still pretty inexpensive, but it is unreasonably bad. At a pretty quiet lunch hour, the service was inadequate to begin with: one waiter was pleasant but forgetful, the other simply rude. The food was stale (I mean how can you make bad hummus???), the tables, menus and paper napkins (!) dirty. The ice tea, even, was undrinkable. Even in Brooklyn Heights, there have to be better options than this, and, as far as Turkish food goes, there are dozens of better restaurants within a few miles.

Mediterranean and Turkish cuisine is somewhat close to authentic.  There's only one (1) waitress who is a bit nervous/clumsy that spilled my drink.  They certainly need to hire more knowledgeable wait staff.  The indoor structure needs TLC with renovation.

this place was formerly know as KAPADOKYA . We came here on a monday night expecting some kinda crowd..................not happening this place was empty(i was thinking like damn, hope this ain't a mistake). the host/server was polite and asked if we wanted to sit inside or the outdoor garden. we opted for the latter and breathed a sigh of relief when we saw a few folks outside. the ambience and decor was very nice and pleasant. this is a good place for a romantic date.  for appetizers we ordered the hummus and the yogurt. I ADMIT THE HUMMUS WAS THE BEST I HAVE HAD IN MY LIFETIME. the yogurt was ok.for entree , i ordered the lamb kebabs, which was off the hook, my bro in law ordered the mixed grill platter, he was not crazy bout the beef, but everything else was good, pam had the eggplant with lamb, which was also very good, something different.  over all A++ for the food. The service was very good and friendly, the servings were nice and large. We did not have a chance of trying the desserts, although they looked very good in their sample tray. the server siad he owed me one  when i came back the next time. after dinner it rained , a perfect ending to a romantic dinner

So the three-part lunch deal is a tremendous deal on a tremendous amount of food. And most of the food is really good. Like a lot of Turkish places (or maybe it's just my taste) the appetizers were tastier than the dishes. But the service is slow and somewhat awkward. We ate on the patio, and it's nothing special, though it does make a long, leisurely lunch on a breezy, beautiful day even better. But who regularly has time for a long, leisurely three-course lunch? And I think dinner prices are probably kind of high for what it is.

worse service ever with no compensation for kitchen screw ups.food was not the worst I've had but definitely not worth the wait we had. I won't be going back there again.

This was my third time at TAZE. Weather was great, so we sat on the patio in the back. Service was friendly and prices are reasonable. I had the Mediterranean salad with grilled shrimp that was very good. My son, Ryan, enjoyed the lamb kabobs and we shared a platter with an assortment of Mediterranean delights with hummus, babaganoush (pureed eggplant), great white beans etc. The pita bread tasted better when served warm. Wine choice could have been better. I did not care for the chardonnay I ordered. I probably will not return because there are so many choices of great restaurants in Brooklyn and I want to give then a try.

After being shut after a fire, it's back.Take-out quality food in restaurant environment at restaurant prices. I went on a rainy evening therefore did not see the patio, which I think might be the big selling point. I would come back to see it again.Any place up above the street like this others on Montague is an interesting change of pace, and it's nice to look out on the street. And it's different that you have to walk up a flight of stairs inside a residential building to get to the dining room. The staff is very friendly some of it is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. They're not very attentive, though. That could be a plus if you want to linger, especially out on the patio. It could be a minus if you wonder where your food or check is.Not nice enough for a date.

Average is the word that comes to mind which isn't particularly good for NY. I didn't do the classic Turkish dinner so maybe this is a bit unfair but we ordered the stuffed vine leaves, butter bean salad, and then a Mediterranean salad. All were served straight from the fridge which made them all a bit too cold. Then we tried the Salmon Kebabs. The salmon is wrapped in vine leaves and grilled. I believe the menu described marinated salmon but you couldn't tell.. In fact you had to add lots of lemon and a little salt to make them tasty. And the dishes weren't particulary cheap considering the portion size.Service was friendly and attentive. It's probably not a bad neighbourhood place but not one to go out of your way for.

I don't mind if restaurant is expensive. But if you are charging high please do not make our customers wait endlessly. I remember being in that restauarant for close to 2 hours. The waiter goofed up and then the Stewart comes and gives us an excuse (a blantant lie) that he is new there. The mixed kabob dish was good. but another salad with tomato was way to spicy (even by my Indian standards). this place is at a stone's throw from my friends' apartment. But we have decide dnot to go there again.
