it looks like an old pizza joint but the food is pretty good.

I did not come here for Shisa or Hooka, but for the food and I will never go back. The prices were outrageous for the food I received, which turned out to be absolutely disgusting. Lose-lose situation. Ordered 3 Chicken shiskabob platters to go. Received 3 containers 1/3 full of rice and some kind of grinded chicken meat with no flavor and so dried out it was almost unedible. The rice (the little that was given) was dried out and hard. Obviously had been sitting there for some time. I've had a street vendor in NYC make the same thing for a third of the price and 1000x better quality. STAY AWAY. Did I mention it took 30 minutes to get my food which came out to almost $40?

Tried the lunch buffet here not long ago and enjoyed it, I'm certainly no expert on Indian cuisine but they had a variety of items to choose from and it all tasted good to me. The location is a little off the beaten path and the inside is really nothing special at all. It's worth trying, but with so many other great Indian restaurants around Harrisburg this would not be my first or second choice.

I was absolutely ecstatic to find out that there's a Shisha bar within walking distance of my apartment. So, we went to check it out this evening and here's the lowdown:- Shisha is so light, it's not even funny! We got the double apple, it wasn't worth it.- As for the eatables, stay away from Biryani, it was awful.- Now, Kabab rolls were pretty tight. They come with fries on the side.- Indian Chai was below average as well. I make it much better at home...- BUT at least they have everything HALAL, or so they claim.I think I'd come back...

I had made a pledge to myself to only post positive reviews but I feel this experience was so horrible that I had to break my rule. The food was cold, expensive, cold, cold and there was very little to eat. Only a few items on the buffet. The service was non-existent and the bathroom wasn't in good working order. The food was cold and the room was cold. I felt bad that I told a friend of mine from work who happens to be from India that we should try it. It was one of the most awful eating experience that I have had. Definitely not worth the trouble to park just to eat at this place in the alley.I don't smoke so the Shisha bar has no bearing on the review.

The first time I went to Citadel was for the shisha about 3 years ago. I remember it being really really bad. I went two or three times and then I was like forget this - it's boring and weak, I'd rather smoke at home.Well, it has improved since. It's still kind of weak, but not as bad as it was. The atmosphere has improved and the family who runs the place is really nice.Edited: 23/02/08So I had dinner at Citadel on Thursday night - and I'm not sure why everyone is complaining. Nothing against ya'all, but my beef jalfrezi was absolutely fantastic. Also, the beef samosas were London street vendor quality (which is perfect). Great flavor, perfect amount of sauce and everything. The hookahs still need cleaned more often - but I was impressed by both the food and the service so I'm adding a star!
