Geez.. I'd like to give this place 4 stars just for being in Baltimore but they put MAYONNAISE on my sandwich instead of tahini!!!!  BLECH!  The food was just ok and make no mistake, if this sort of mayo fiasco had happened in the DC area, it would be 2 stars for sure. But they're not in DC.  They're in Baltimore.  What's more, they're in the Bayview/Highlandtown area, an area not known for a diversity of dining options. The eggplant sandwich I ordered was filled with fantastically tender, thinly sliced rings of eggplant with shredded iceberg lettuce, sliced tomato, and diced raw onion.  It was ok.  Not bad for $4.99.  Except for the surprise MAYONNAISE ATTACK!Fortunately, the onions had nobly sacrificed themselves and were submerged in the mayonnaise, thus creating mostly shielding the rest of the sandwich.  One the bread and onions were removed, most of the other fillings were safe.  But only just.  It was too hot to eat bread anyway. They did give more of a nod to decor than the AC-less average hole in the wall, as if they have aspirations to something greater.  They also have a hookah lounge upstairs which I did not visit.
