If ever there was a five-star convenience store, this is it.It's open twenty-four hours and it's not sketchy or surreal at all. In addition to all the usual convenience store staples, you can stock up on Middle Eastern delights like tahini or a new hookah! And you have like a 60% chance of spotting the elusive totally stoned Johns Hopkins undergraduate ordering a falafel sub sandwich from the grill. That's right, grill! They make some great hot sandwiches, including breakfast sandwiches, falafel sandwiches, and a really good vegetarian sandwich, the contents of which I cannot really identify though I can testify that it's delicious. (Be forewarned - you are very likely to mistakenly receive a vegetarian "pizza" sandwich by accident. Those are okay too.) The fries are also excellent. My other favorite thing about this place, which I realize will appeal to very few other people, is their selection of Pop-Tarts. They carry the unfrosted brown sugar cinnamon Pop-Tarts, which I love because they are a.) delicious and b.) free of gelatin. They are kind of hard to find, so I love that I can consistently get them here.
