ummmmm i have to rate this place even though i sucked at hookah(i think i have a phobia of smoke in my lungs or something)!! okay so other than the shisha(which my friend said is the cheapest but some of the best) the atmosphere was cool...i like the lounge feel and the fact that they play music...it wasnt much space but the space you do have is very comfy!!! i think its a good place to go to if youre in adams morgan and you wanna go somewhere after the club....parking in Adams Morgan sucks tho

Although there was a nominal cover charge, I believe the shisha is cheaper than most other places so you make up the difference. This was a sweet place to meet and chill with a group of friends. The people working there were attentive but never pushy, the seats were nice and low, and they had some funky music videos playing on a bunch of small television screens. I like that this hookah bar seems less crowded than most others I've tried in the city.

The best thing about this place is that it's affordable. Given their location they could fix the place up a bit and charge more. On the other hand it's kind of nice to have a low-key place like this that's not too crowded. Now the complaints. The waitress tended to disappear and so we could only get her attention when she reappeared to give menus to groups that were entering. They never came by to give us new coals, which would have been nice. The "tea for two" is the same as the "tea for one," except twice the price. The cushioned benches are really uncomfortable. The shisha doesn't have a very strong flavor. In the basement of a building, this place looks and feels sort of dingy. You get what you pay for, and this is certainly not bad for the price. I'm sure there is much better out there, though. It's sort of telling that, despite being on the busy 18th St NW strip, this place isn't that crowded, and there are only two other reviews here now.

Queen's is the third hookah bar I've been to in Adam's Morgan and its actually pretty good because its fun and lively with decent service unlike the Prince Cafe but not nearly as crowded as Soussi, the best hookah bar in the area.Queen's doesn't really excel in any way but the fact that its just a chill place where you can watch Haifa, Cheb Mami, and Nancy Ajram while smoking good reasonably priced hookah (we had one hookah, two cokes and a water for $18) makes it just fine in my book. There is a $2 cover and a $5 per person minimum but neither of those are big deals especially since they give students 10% off.The only major downside to this place is that its cash only, but they do have an ATM machine placed conveniently by the door.

On Saturday night, at around 10pm, Soussi had a forty-minute wait, complete with the option of waiting in the company of some judgmental, but still unattractive, bitches at the bar who gave everyone the one-up-one-down as they walked by. The remaining options were:-Azela Cafe, which is roach-infested-Prince Cafe, which I have boycotted since 2007 because they suck-Tangier Lounge, which has terrible tobacco-Queen's Cafe, which has a $2 cover charge thereby going against my principle of never paying cover for anywhere in DC.My Azela proposal was voted down because most people are creeped out by roaches (I guess I should be as well, but it was only a small cockroach). So that left us with one option--Queen's. Across the street and down the stairs, tucked under a store that sells battered furniture and weatherbeaten baskets, possibly as a cover for some more questionable merchandise, Queen's is irresistibly sordid: low seats and deep cushions, nicked tables decorated with bowls of dusty artificial flowers, cheap glittery wall-hangings over cracked orange walls and smudged mirrors flickering in the Youtube hip-hop videos projected from the squat tube-tv in the corner--asses popping, rappers swaggering, threatening their reflections. Regular shisha is $10.99 and premium is $12.99, but the latter does not come with bottle service. We splurged on premium, which was fairly smooth and fragrant and, actually, pretty good. It was glorious to sink down into the cushions, watching people wander in and out, gusting cold air which wafted the bouncer's slightly excessive cologne over to our table. It was kind of hard to get the server's attention after she brought us our initial order. Soussi's shisha isn't as good but it has prettier people, better music and decorations, more attentive service and, most importantly, a full bar. I'm afraid Queen's will remain the last-resort, late-night booty call of Adams Morgan shisha bars. $3.00 bottles of Poland Spring, no tap water$2.00 sodas$14.00 Shrimp/Fish/Seafood platters (ahahahahahha, sounds like an *excellent* idea) I have to reiterate that I do not pay cover for ANYWHERE in DC. Even if it's just $2--it's the…
