Good little spot for tobacco.  They have some cheapo hookahs, not great quality though.  I prefer the hempest selection of more artsy, hand-blown stuff myself the overall vibe of the store.

I've been going to Kang's since I was in high school and they only had one shop on Gainsburough St. I've always found what I want there and the employees are all great. It's hilarious when Kang busts out his mic and karaoke machine.

This place is very strange; the storefront looks like any old convenience store. A different story emerges when one descends into to store. On the left hundreds of cedes for all kinds of plants, in front rolling papers come in more varieties than I ever knew, and in the back sits two dozen hookahs all as the salesman says "imported from Egypt". Have a look on Newbury lane.

One star because Kang's is now closed. 314 Newbury is up for lease and there's no sign about Kang's having moved anywhere else.I tried Sugar Daddy's in Kenmore. It's fine. Not awesome, but not too sucky. Remember the marked price is usually 40-50% higher than what they'll actually take for a piece.

Kang's cracks me up.  Its got pretty much everything you could ever need.....from regular cigarettes to imports to papers to scales to...well, like I said everything.

Excellent head-shop like store.  A large selection of rolling papers, pipes of all sorts, scales, tobaccos, cigarettes, a friendly owner named Kang, and my personal favorite is that you get a free lighter with every purchase of cigarettes.  Not to mention if you spend more than 15$ the clerk will often encourage you to take a HANDFULL of free lighters.  Did I mention they can take you picture and feature you on a whole bunch of lighters?

This place is pretty cool.   A little weird.   Considering places like the Hempest will charge you $40, 60, or $80 for a simple glass PIPE, it's a bargain to get a tiny hookah for $30 here. :)

I went to visit my girlfriend in Boston and I wanted to find a store that sold tobacco near her place. The number of things they sell is OK, the prices are OK. Its more for pot heads. I got one cigar there and it wasn't very good, kinda stale. They didn't want to exchange it or anything, I drove a little and found Leavitt Peirce had much better cigars and a better stocked hookah section.

I've always been a big fan of this place.  The first time I stopped in was to pick up a pack of cigarettes on my way back from the bars on Newbury.  The guy working at the time was extremely courteous and hooked me up with free lighters (as Sean mentioned).  As far as hookah sales go, I don't know if I'd purchase a hookah from here, but then again I don't think hookahs are sold at reasonable prices ANYWHERE in Boston. If you're looking for a hookah I recommend you check ebay or craiglist, much better prices. They tend to mark up the prices of exotic smoking paraphenelia like that around the city. For all of your other smoking needs, this is definitely a good place to stop at.  It's location is convenient and the staff is friendly.

Pot and hookah smokers rejoice.  However, true tobacco lovers need to venture out to L.J. Piretti's across from the Four Seasons or Cigar Masters on Boylston to sit and smoke.Piretti's blends their own pipe tobacco.  And don't even get me started on cigars-every Kang's cigar I have ever smoked has been dried out.  These guys need to get a better humidor.  Don't even think about blowing 7-20 dollars on a smoke here, go a few t stops further down. However, if you are looking for a hookah or need some cigarettes in the Northeastern area I see some appeal here,  It is kooky, and they used to make lighters with pictures of their customers on them.  It was always fun to find a friend in the box.

Kang's Corner!  For some strange reason beyond me, I love this kooky shop and its equally kooky owner.  Kang is such a weird guy, but he is funny and nice.  Plus, he gives you free lighters with each purchase. His shop has a very big selection of cigarettes, both domestic and imported, as well as rolling papers, sheesha, and other smoking goodies to fulfill your needs.  As far as tobacco shops are concerned, Kang's is up there, check it out.
