This is the only hookah place in CT (as far as I know) and definitely the only one in New Haven. They know what they're doing with hookahs. There's a very comfortable back room with wall-couches and a loungy vibe, but often times they pump the music in there too loud to talk (and with hookah, talking is kind of the point). Its also a bit expensive at $20/hookah. The food is just OK, but they operate on a byob policy. If you bring hard alcohol, they would prefer you to purchase a mixer (read: coke) and they'll give you a little plastic cup. All in all, its a nice little place and the owner is very friendly, just don't expect a paradise. Oh, and this place could really use some quality mint tea to go with their hookahs.

I love the food - love love love the falafel, love the hummus, love the salad that comes with the combo plates, loves the pickles, love the super nice owners - and everyone I brought there thus far agreed. Of note is that yes, on weekend nights the place is loud and smokey, but hey, no place is perfect. :)

This place is a hookah monopoly in Connecticut. The hookah is really expensive and terrible quality; it'll start to taste like ash in under an hour. The people who work there are rude, and never come around to change the coals. Space in the back is limited, mainly because its taken up with loud high schoolers getting drunk on their little cocktails. Now that I live in NYC, I realize how crappy this place really is.

On weekdays, this is a subdued and pleasant place to stop for tasty, inexpensive meze, falafels and kebabs. The salad that accompanies the plates and combos has the most delicious lemony dressing, and the pita arrives hot and puffed up. On weekend nights this place goes a little Persian disco and the back room gets packed with folks hitting the hookahs.
