I've had it bad for this place for a long time.  It's changed ownership since I first started going there and there has been an infenismal decrease in quality, but their "Jimmy" pizza is amazing, filling, and heavy! (everything on it).The Gyros are good, and the rest of the menu can be a little hit or miss.  I use this a a friendly pizza parlor mostly. When i still lived in the area, they knew both my, and my father's voice over the phone, and are still delighted to see me when I come back every few months for a visit.Recently I believe the upstairs is a Hukaah bar, so all the hip 17-20 year old white kids can have a blast.

Including New York city, I would have to say this place has the best gyros in America.  It inspires me to go to Greece to so further research!  Historical side note:  this place used to be a pizza parlor at Seven Corners when Seven Corners was a real actual mall for the affluent subernites of Washington D.C.    When the mall became a strip mall, the Greek owner moved the establisment to it's current location.  A few years later he sold it to the current owners.  They are a fabulous family!Okay, back to the food.  So #1 If you get anything, make sure it had gyro meat on it.  Pizza turnover?!  Put gyro meat inside.  Pizza slice?!  Put gyro meat on it. Salad. Gyro gyro gyro!  Need I say more?!There are two dining rooms.  The one upstairs is more formal with a waiter and I think they turned it into a hookah lounge too.Downstairs has a diner feel.  You pick up your food and clean it up too.  That's also where you should order the carryout.  Warning, they make it when you order so don't be surprised with a minimum 20 minutes wait for them to make your food!

Lunch today. Coworkers and me were heading out for something to eat. Diverse group today with a mix of tastes. Someone said 'hey - remember the other day when we saw the Greek place?' Ummm... no...Out came the Blackberries and iPhones. Google, BB maps, Safari browsers all lit up looking for the nearest 'Greek' place. Someone (was not on an iPhone either) found the nearest location. It was around the corner.Off to Athens we went. Small location in a not-so-well-travelled part of town. One block to the west of Leesburg Pike (Hwy 7 for most of us). Have to love how roads have a minimum three-name rule around here. Maybe I should make a list on Yelp of roads and their aliases.Sorry... I digressed.Athens restaurant. Small, quaint, television on too loud. Cramped seating. Jordanian gentleman taking orders (wow... what an accent). Great menu! We all got Gyros of some flavor with fries. The Gyros were very good. I had lamb and beef. Tender, tasty, fresh. The Tzatziki was the only complaint. It could have been a little thicker and had cucumber. It was a little lacking.Overall - nice little restaurant to break the monotony of the local places to eat. I will return here. Maybe on a weekend just for fun. It was pretty darn good.
