Sam's Restaurant Cafe Reviews

This place reminds me not to judge a book by its cover. Sam's has some amazingly juicy and flavorful kebabs in addition to many delicious homemade Persian dishes. I can't think of a place I'd rather get koobideh or kashkobadenjan. One of their daily specials that I've been lucky to catch a few times consists of chicken served with rice, lentils, currants, and dates: I absolutely love it. Although the decor and atmosphere are lacking, the authentic food makes up for it. Give it a chance and I doubt you'll regret it.

I've been here two or three times, but it's been a while. The setting is modest and unimpressive, but the food is great. The lunch buffet is nice and offers a decent variety of choices. I was a little put off at first when my waiter, a woman of presumed persian decent, repeatedly served me bowls of soup. I felt a bit pampered, and I wasn't sure how I was supposed to feel about it all. In any case, I hope I can soon return and again enjoy the hidden treat that is sam's restaurant and cafe.

I love this place! They've got great food in the restaurant, an AWESOME selection of imported goods, their gelato is to die for, and they're one of the only places around that sells hookah products. But they seem to have moved locations, does anyone know where they went???

Mmmm the kabobs here are tasty and they have a nice buffet (although i cant remember when) that gives a noniranian a good feel for the cusine. This restaurant is attached to a grocery store where you can do your ethnic food shopping or stop in for some gelato (i know random) after dinner. There is also another iranian grocery with an attached restaurant further south on the pike called yek-ta. Sam's has a better restaurant although I think their grocery is lacking and cramped compared to yek-ta's.
