The sister store to one of my favorite chill out spots (Marrakesh), Casablanca is a Hookah bar in the Glenwood South district. Located inside a striking yellow building, this charming little bar is a great spot for a relaxing change of pace from the usual hustle and bustle of the neighboring bars and restaurants.Inside you'll find low tables, Moroccan tapestries and artwork, comfortable stools, and of course Hookahs filled with flavored tobacco. I'm a big fan of Kiwi Strawberry, but there are about twenty other flavors, mostly with some sort of fruit involved. Casablanca also offers tea and Turkish coffee (a personal favorite of mine), and although the coffee is not as good as the nearby Turkish Delights, it is still a great accompaniment to a relaxing smoke.Fridays and Saturdays also feature live belly dancing, so expect more of a crowd on those evening then during the week. Casablanca is open till 2am on Friday and Saturday, so if you're in the Glenwood South area this is a fun place to stop if you're sick of being packed in by the crowds and loud music at some of the other bars in the area. I live a bit closer to Marrakesh then Casablanca, so I'm there more often, but they are both equally great places to enjoy some chilled out conversation and a nice flavorful smoke.
