Ibiza Restaurant and Lounge Reviews
by J. D.
Wow this place is fun, and very popular. The food is actually quite good, with a wide selection of real Spanish Tapas. The spirited atmosphere, combined with flowing wine makes for a crazy time. The Flamenco dancers are a trip to watch. A quiet date place this is not.

Its been a while since I have been here but it was pretty good when I went. They serve Moroccan style cuisine. The tapas and kabob style entrees are pretty good. They also have dancing entertainment on some nights. You also have to try the fruit flavored hookah on the patio when it gets a little warmer. I'm not a smoker but I enjoyed trying it. This is a great place to go with a group of friends.

I came as a newbie with a large group of 20. I had a great time even though I didn't eat, didn't drink, and didn't smoke hookah. I had already been out earlier for an early dinner, and I gave up alcohol for Lent, so I was mostly there to hang out with friends and enjoy their company. I was really impressed with the waitress we had. She was great at handling the large group. Did not seem intimidated at all-- I have no clue how she kept everyone's orders straight with everyone getting up to dance on their tiny dance floor, playing musical chairs to talk to each other-- but it is that kind of place. I loved it! Everyone in my group was happy with the constant drink replacements and they said the food was pretty good. The requisite belly dancer is semi-lame but a good random thing to watch. We were there for dinner and ended up staying until past midnight just talking and dancing, other friends kept coming to meet up, so the group got even larger as the night wore on. No big deal for Ibiza. I'd go again! Take a cab.

My girlfriend celebrated her B-Day @ Ibiza recently and all in attendance had a great time. Ibiza is definitely good for large parties. The food wasn't sensational, but I still give it 5 stars because the restaurant is so much more than food. It's a very entertaining experience. The decor and whole vibe is real Mid Eastern style. The bartenders really did their thing. The Flameco Dancers are flipping hilarious to watch, especially after a couple of drinks....in fact that may have been the funniest shyt of the night. We had the private room in the back and had a ball interacting amongst ourselves and popping out in the main space and dance floor to mingle and dance with the rest of the crowd. Oh, and they have Hookah! I've been back a few time since and have equally enjoyed myself. This is a super cool, chill out spot for people who like to have fun.

Definitely entertaining- Hookahs on the patio, Moroccan style interior, flamenco dancers (well, when I was there), sangrias, mojitos, tapas.. makes for a fun night!

Owned by the same folks as the next-door Imperial Fez (husband and wife team -- husband is exec chef at Fez, wife is exec chef at Ibiza). Great, friendly staff. Excellent food -- the menu is exclusively tapas. We had a platter of grape leaves, hummous, babaganoush, and tabouli; the scallops, and a few other tasty things all accompanied by their fantastic sangria. If you like things extra spicy, ask for their house-made harissa. It's a red-pepper paste/sauce that brightens everything.

One part Disney world, One part lounge, and one part alcohol.Ibiza is a very interesting place, from it's decor, think Morroccan palace, to the people, to food/drinks.The menu is an ecclectic mix of spices and tapas, There are middle eastern dishes, as well as more generic fair. This is a place that draws a unique crowd. I've heard several different languages spoken in the private booths that line one side of the restaurant. This place also offers Hookahs, which seems to be one of the bigger draws to this place. This is a fun night if you're tired of the same old bar scene, and want to have a unique night out.

Ok, I've been here 3 times and each time was different than the other. The first I went for a gal-friends B-day, it was on a Friday night and the place was packed, me and my sister arrived fashionably late as usual so I have no concept of what the wait was like. I walked in, went straight to my table, ordered maybe 4 tapas, maybe 2 drinks, and ended up racking up around $50-$55, but mind you, I eat like a fat girl. Someone with a normal appetite would still be spending around 25-30 bucks I would say. The mood, ambiance, belly dancers, and food was worth the money. So the 2nd time I came for yet another B-day party, it was my roomates, and I actually recommended we go to this restaurant. After looking at the menu, he saw that on that particular day of the week they serve $10 all you can eat tapas, so considering how good everything was the first time I went, I thought this an unbeatable deal so we went. The all you can eat tapas turned out to be completely different menu items than from the actual menu; however, they all seemed interesting enough in their own right. There are about 8 items and they actually send out everything in waves, you get a small salad, a soup, and then a bunch of unique items. The waiter was attentive, everything came out in an even flow, the mozzarella sticks stood out in my mind as absolutely delicious. After I had each tapa I of course, being the fat girl that I am, wanted more salad, more mozzerella sticks, more balsamic chicken wings, more meatballs lol and I have to say, after you've gotten your first round of tapas, when you ask for more everything is done half-assed. The meatballs first time around were hot, the mozarella sticks were filled with mozarrella; however, the 2nd time around, the meatballs were luke-warm, had the consistency of a 3 day old bran-muffin, and the mozarella sticks had no cheese in them! it was just fried bread crumbs basically lol, but everything at least came out in a timely manner. Now the 3rd time I went was again, on a Tuesday, for the all you can eat tapas. The waiter was not attentive, the food came out extremely slow half-way through, then sometimes we would get tapas literally 2 mins after another....Our drinks were not tended to, and it was like pulling fucking teeth to get more of the same tapas, and again when you ask for a certain tapa again, don't expect the same quality as the first. lol If I rated based on my last visit, it would be a 1-2.

Ibiza is a really fun unique experience. I decided to try it out on a Saturday night, and if you're looking for something slightly different and cultured Ibiza's the way to go. It was a predominant Lebanese, Moroccan, Latin crowd but overall speaking there is definitely a nice blend of the melting pot that congregate here and no matter what background you're from you're bound to find similar acquaintances peppered throughout the crowd. Also I haven't been to a place in a while where 95% of the women are damn fine. So fella's be prepared for consistent jaw dropping moments lol! The dress code seems to be pretty liberal, but for the most part I noticed most people were in standard club attire. Even so I had a buddy come with a Wal-Mart graphic tee and some black classic converse chuck taylors, and somehow he still managed to mesh well with the crowd and receive no hassle about getting in based on how he was dressed. The atmosphere is very lively and seems to be concerned only with having a good time regardless of maybe making a little bit of a fool out of yourself. I would say it's definitely a place to go have fun on a Saturday night. Also having no cover charge is pretty nice too. Definitely a great backup to have in your arsenal just in case the first place you decided to check out turns sour. I can only comment on this place from the aspect of it being a lounge. Unfortunately I did not have the pleasure of partaking in the food on my particular experience

My first choice for tapas has always been Eclipse di Luna, but my friend suggested we try Ibiza and I'll admit, the thought of all you can eat tapas for $10 was enticing so I went. And...Let's start with the parking. First, when you drive by this place, the exit and entrance are complete opposite and most people immediately want to go in through the exit. So, since that is the case, I see the line of cars in the WRONG way, and knowing that trying to turn into a spot for 2 cars while 3 others were still waiting was going to be difficult. That's when I tried to go in through the entrance and skip valet parking. This is when the valet driver stops me and says that self parking (which is full) is $5 and valet is free but I have to tip. Ummm, excuse me? So, I go back out and try to turn in to the valet line, only to wait for 5 minutes in the middle of the road and be told by the valet driver that I can't stand there and can go park across the street. Now, on to the restaurant. Cute decor, festive look, ok food, eh service. I get in, sit with my friend and the waitress comes in after noticing that I have finally arrived and asks if we would like something to drink. I order a coke and my friend said she will stick to the [half empty] water. 20 minutes later...waitress comes back to take order...we order all you can eat tapas...still no drinks (at this point my friends water is empty). 10 minutes later, first items of the meal arrive, sans drinks. A few more seconds to see if she is coming back by, but 3-4 times of her rushing by my table, I decide to step out from eating and ask for my drink. The restaurant is empty. The rest of the meal flows in, the waitress peeks in every so often, to ask how we are doing, drinks empty...and stay empty...Overall, food is ok, but when I think of all you can eat, I feel that it should be a "I want....and keep it comin..." But, that wasn't the case. And I noticed that the tables had very little room between each and the tables were empty. I just don't think that if I was sitting at a table, I would want someone's butt rubbing across my table edge while they try to maneuver through the restaurant.Summary: Parking - horribleDecor - awesomeFood - ehService - nice people, bad servers

My first trip to Ibiza was horrible so my friends and I gave it a second shot and have since gone back close to twenty-twenty five times. I suppose during the "week" this isn't the best place to go, but starting Thursday nights-Saturday nights it's an escape from corporate lifestyle! If you are going with more than three other individuals I suggest the following: 1.) Make a Reservation! 2.) If you will be spending more than $150 total get a BOOTH! If it is a packed night the chairs with tables will not suffice a night for a good dinner. Booths are amazing and comfortable, with sheer curtains providing an intimate and small isolation from the rest of the crowd. 3.) Carpool! (Valet parking is all they offer) 4.) Order food and pass around! Their tapas are good I suggest the Babaghanouch and the Couscous with Chicken, Sweet Onions Raisins. 5.)Smoke the hookah! I personally only like their bahraini hookah, it has real slice of apple in it - but make sure they only put one coal, sometimes depending on who packs it they might put two and that will burn your tobacco too fast and it will be too harsh on the throat to smoke. Outside of the group setting, Ibiza usually has good music on their Thursday - Saturday nights. Sometimes they get a little strange on the other nights and decide to play old school 80's hip hop. The belly dancers are super sweet and even allow people to get up and dance with them, joke with them and have a great time. Saturday nights they usually have some type of dancer and half off margarita's. The vibe is great, the music is LOAD- so I don't suggest going here if you're trying to catch up with an old friend or talk business- unless you don't really care what they have to say! Restrooms are nice... I will say this (and it might be too much information...) but in the girls room - the common wash area the sinks BLAST water out like it's a hurricane so don't turn them on hardcore! I've fallen for this a few too many times! This is a EXCELLENT spot to book a birthday party. My friends and I have held three dinners/nights out here and just had a blast dancing, drinking and smoking hookah. The only downfall is the price of the drinks, OUCH.. Red Bull Vodka (mainly just red bull...) $11 bucks for a TINY glass. But if you're going to order a drink do the Lime Mint Mojito or the White Sangria (both sweet). If you're looking for a shot, the liquid cocaines are always strong! I wish I could remember the name of the waitress we always get, she is just the sweetest person and will take the time to party with us! Great service. They're also willing to re-pack hookahs if it doesn't taste right- so DON'T BE AFRAID to speak up!!! They won't bite your head off, they will make your night a good experience! Valet on the other hand, BLAH- they are horrible. Simply put!

The only thing I have to say is hukka (hooka)! This bar/lounge is very conveniently located at the edge of midtown/south Buckhead. There is an optional dance floor and music, but the main attraction for me are the amazing semi-private lounge areas for friends to chill. I am definitely going back soon for appetizers, drinks and more of the varieties of flavored tobacco.

Another place that my friend Raj introduced me to (the other is Divan). Ibiza is a great alternative scene when i am not up for the "trendy" lounges or "celebrity" owned spots. It's been a welcomed change on a couple of Friday nights where I wanted a good drink and a chance to catch up with my pal.Typically I have a taste of one or two tapas when I go here and they have a variety of quick eats that go with a drink or two. Ibiza is also open later than most restaurants in that area of Peachtree Street. The Flamenco dancers are entertaining and interactive. One evening there was a bachelor party and a bachelorette party going on at the same time. Oddly there were more guys at the bachelor party than women at the bachelorette. Ibiza made for a fine festive atmosphere and the bride and groom to be had an innocent fling on the dance floor. Everyone had a blast.

I took my boyfriend here for his 23rd birthday. The food was good, not great. The tables with chairs are not very comfortable. We tried the hookah thing, but it isn't worth the money. I wouldn't go there again. But if you want to try it, go to http://halfoffdepot.com and buy a $50 gift certificate there for $25. You can use the gift card on anything including alcohol.

You like "HOO-ka"? You like belly dancing? You like tapas? Ibiza is the place for you. Mind you, I imbibed only in the tapas and I'd say... I can't really remember what I ate. It wasn't bad, wasn't great. Just okay. Fun place to hang out.

Per Kit F's recommendation, we went here in search of a cool hang out place to get some hookah. When we walked in, I was automatically apprehensive when I saw pictures of the owner on the walls, the same fella who owns Imperial Fez. I absolutely abhor Imperial Fez, so much so that I nearly turned around and walked out. A friendly hostess quickly walked up and greeted us, breaking my thoughts of turning around and leaving. We were seated and informed that to order a hookah, each person must have ordered $15 worth of food or drinks first. I thought that was a bit tacky, but I suppose it's the correct strategy to stop the place from turning into nothing but a seedy hookah lounge (*cough*Cafe Istanbul*cough*) .Ibiza is a Middle Eastern tapas place, so we ordered the ultimate Mediterranean restaurant litmus test, the mezza plate (hummus, baba ghanoush, falafel and stuffed grape leaves). I also got the salmon/arugula salad and my buddy got the spanakopitas. I didn't try the spanakopitas, but the salmon salad and the mezza plate were good. I also have to mention that our service was outstanding. Our waitress was friendly, funny and talkative. She checked on us every 10 mins or so, kept our drinks coming and kept the conversation going.Their hookahs were also good, but I wouldn't recommend getting the mint flavor. The strawberry, two apple or the grape are where it's at. When I asked for a mixture of mint/grape, with just a tiny hint of mint, they brought it out with waaay too much mint. They took it back without any issue when I told them it wasn't good at all and brought me back another fresh one with nothing but grape in it. Props for that. The DJ was superb, mixing recent hits with arabic music and kept the dance floor packed all night.Spent about $130 for two dinners, two hookahs and two hookah refills, no drinks. They include 20% gratuity during certain hours, but it's not clearly explained as to when/how/why. I believe it's if you're still there after midnight, they tack it on. I didn't mind at all though, as our waitress more than deserved it.All and all, had a blast, superb service, good food, good hookahs and a good "non-buckhead type" crowd. I'll be back!

Great place!Food: Fantastic! We had a lamb dish that was well seasoned and fall off the bone tender. I ordered a rice dish that had plenty of veggies (Carrots, peas, and lima beans) and full of flavor. Great combo.Price: Very reasonable, $7 for the lamb dish, a steal. $18 hookah, with 1 free refill on Fridays. Specials everyday that are great value.Ambiance: Cozy, comfy chairs, booths, and tables. There are outdoor seats with traditional Mediterranean cushions and low tables. Inside there are comfy booths and tables. Music was great. They played MJ tributes for part of the nite. There was a BEAUTIFUL belly dancer who danced twice. Hottest belly dancer I've ever seen. Talented too!Service: Our server, Amy, kept checking up on us, was always on the spot with refills, dish clearing, hookah condoms, and service. An army of bussers and helpers rounded out the super helpful staff that never let my needs go unfulfilled.Would I come back? Hell yeah! I would bring friends and prob come back over and over...and over.

$10 for all-you-can-eat tapas Sun-Tue! Plus love the ambience Mediterranean/Middle Eastern feel here - come early to get private booth seating. Also liked that every booth has its own light switch to give you the option for more intimate or "regular" lighting. I came tonight with a couple friends, and we got the special $10 tapas deal which included 9 different dishes. The server brings out all the tapas one-by-one, and afterwards you can order more of your favorites. Gazpacho soup - not the best but refreshing for hot weather like today.Spinach arugula salad w/ olive oil lemon dressing - liked this enough to order it twice.Lentil bean salad w/ chopped tomatoes, green peppers, onions, parsley - ordered this twice, too. Spinach w/ fresh chickpeas mushrooms - great flavor and tasted much better than it looked.Pasta Bolognese - good but seemed like an odd choice for a Spanish tapas restaurant.Cheese pizza - another odd choice.Sesame seeds honey Flamenco wings - yum, this stuff tasted like candy! I know the skin is bad for me but it was too hard to resist :)Tilapia w/ grilled vegetables - the favorite for our group. At this point we really couldn't believe we were getting all this food for $10. Creamy vermicelli w/ mixed fruit - the only disappointment of the evening. This dessert looked tasted as bad as it sounds. Like one of my friends said, it looked more like Alfredo Vermicelli. Service was really great - very friendly and attentive. Enjoyed the variety in the tapas selections - definitely a great deal. Biggest standout for me though was the ambience.

I have mixed feelings on Ibiza. Ok the hookah thing/half naked girls jiggling around, SCORE. The parking/food not so great. Ok the parking sucks. It is a fine place to go for drinks. Again I have been here probably 5 times and it has been different every time. The service has ranged from terrible to excellent, so that part is very hit or miss. It is worth checking out, but not FANTASTIC. If there was a 2.5 I would give it that.

Great tapas place. Good atmosphere, the layout of the restaurant is fantastic. It's a little pricey (as all tapas places are) so I can't give it 5 stars but it's a nice place to come with a group of friends to split some food or if you're willing to shell out the cash, a great place for a date.It is located on Peachtree Rd as you approach Buckhead, and it kinda suddenly comes up on you while you're driving on Peachtree, so it can be passed. The signs are pretty big so you will notice it but it will come up somewhat unexpectedly.
