Great lunch buffet, a good mix of both Cedar's and Ray's menu. Very good value. I like the pizza here, good crust!

One of my go-to places to meet friends for lunch during the week. Ray's is conveniently located and (in my experience) relatively quick at getting your food to you and getting you on your way, but then I generally only go there with people I don't mind talking to for a reasonable amount of time just in case it takes longer! I particularly enjoy that you can choose between a dish, pizza by the slice, or the buffet. If you go I recommend you try a slice of the baselico - I order it almost every time, and I still love it! I've also enjoyed the falafel and hummus a time or two. Definitely closer to four stars than to three, but still somewhere in the middle...

Reading the reviews posted on Ray's, I am quite intrigued. I mostly get delivery - if you live near their Sandy Springs or Midtown locations you're in luck, because they'll bring it to you- so I haven't had to deal with service issues; I've also found them to be super-helpful with large to-go orders for work events.I love the large selection of pizza toppings and I think the pizza/sauce/cheese ratio is both well-rationed and tasty; plus, I like the crust. These are my major tests for good pizza. Also, the salads are good and the garlic knots are awesome. Delivery and to-go pick up times are typically under what they quote you and the prices are very reasonable.

This place is amazing!! I've been going to this place since it first opened back in 1996 at the old buckhead location. This is by far the best NY style pizza in the Atlanta area. The grilled Greek salad is awesome, the chicken is so plump and juicy its like they just cooked it. I like the midtown location cause they offer Mediterranean food, I mean who doesn't like a restaurant that serves amazing pizza with stuffed grape leaves and tabbouleh salad, ugghhhh my stomach is growling just writing this review. nough said

Great place! Great food and the pizza is as close to NY-quality as it gets. (This coming from a recent NYC transplant) The regular entrees are also deeelish, my favorite being chicken kabob with pilaf. The chicken is incredibly tender, yet possess that perfect grilled flavor. They serve grilled veggies that have perfect grill marks on them without compromising texture nor flavor. The pilaf is out of this world and they sure do give you a great helping. Portions are more than fair for their prices. I ate there maybe twice and they do have pretty crummy service so don't go there if you get cranky when hungry... like me. I have ordered delivery numerous times and although it takes for-ev-errrrrr I still come crawling back for more.

So I know two kinds of Ray's pizza: the time or two I've stopped in for lunch or dinner, and the time or two that we've ordered delivery. Delivery: we almost always get the delicious greek pizza - feta and gyro meat included. Outstanding.Eating in, it's kinda eh. Got a wrap (mine was dry) but they did have an interesting looking buffet. Turns out a lot of things were interesting but also dry.A nice topping, pizza, menu and beer selection gives them a good handful of stars here but I don't see myself with anymore without that delivery. Also whats up with that silly logo?? (also: why is it so common for the cartoon logo advocating the eating of any given food product to be the animal/product itself???! )

I attended a relatively diverse university in an urban area, and one of the things I loved about college was the proliferation of cheap but delicious restaurants of all cuisines catering to the broke student population. I work near Ray's and gave it a try, hoping that its proximity to GA Tech meant that Ray's would deliver the same cheap+delicious formula.I ordered the mediterranean sampler (to go - so I can't comment much on the ambience, although I can say it's definitely casual). The sampler comes with hummus, baba ghanouj, tabbouleh, two pieces of falafel, several pita slices, and sides of tahini, pickles, banana pepper, and lemon wedge. At $7.50, it's not a bad deal - it's definitely a LOT of food. So Ray's gets a point for cheap(ish) food.I'm sorry to say Ray's didn't fare as well on the delicious half of the formula. The tabbouleh was actually pretty good - heavy on the parsley, which is how I like it. The hummus and baba ghanouj were pretty standard - not bad, but nothing distinctive that you couldn't get in a grocery store. The falafel were, well, weird - WAY too cinnamon-y. And my other complaint was that the tahini was pure liquid - what are you supposed to do with that? Anything you put it on it just drips off of. I prefer tahini to be thicker, so you can actually scoop it with pita or falafel (but I have yet to find a place in Atlanta that makes tahini how I like it, so in all fairness I can't hold it against Ray's any more than any other place).I might give Ray's 2.5 stars, but it doesn't meet my 3-star bar of a place I would come back to with no reservations. For me, 2 stars means that I would go back but only under special circumstances (only place open, someone else really wants to go, etc.). Given all of the other choices in this area, I don't think I'll be going back to Ray's any time soon.

Ray's doesn't just offer up pizza. They have a whole slew of Greek delicacies that go beyond that: grape leaves, hummus, tabouleh, gyros and more. The $7.99 buffet at lunch is a steal. They offer lentil soup, greek salads, grape leaves, hummus, tabouleh, fruit, pizzas, chicken, meatballs, and more.

Does 'split personality' mean anything to you? In the case of Ray's/Cedars, it means you get the best of two worlds - pizza and Mediterranean. Not sure where the Ray's/Cedars concept spawned from (mascot is a smiling piece of pizza holding a gyro and a kabob) but whoever thought of this madness is a smart one. Jinny K and I went here - me being a first timer - and after eating, I was ahhhmaazed. They also have hookahs, but only until a certain time.I got the vegetarian platter, which I'll probably be thinking about for the rest of the week. Good. Good. Stuff. it had fried eggplant/cauliflower, hummus, tabouleh, and falafel, which are a few of my favorite things.Just try to keep me away from this place.

This place rates highly in my book. I've been there twice. The first time we ordered a pizza (meat and veggie supreme type I believe) and it was really good. The crust is some of the best I have ever had and I do not always like pizza crust but this dough is just so good. Tonight we went again and I ordered their calzone after seeing other tables get it last time. Again the dough is to die for, the filling was great and the side of marinara sauce was good. I will go back. Not fancy but the food is good and it has a nice college atmosphere there.
