I am such  a big  fan of this restaurant and  their Hookah lounge! I had the best time here! I am from Cali, so I love to mix it up and hit  as many different spots.  I  give this restaurant thumbs up! The food, music, and entertainment was great! Plus the people are very kind as well. I thought the owner was very much pleasant. I will be back here many more times. If you are looking for great entertainment, belly dancing, food, music, and hookah, this is the place to be! I got there at 8:30pm for dinner and  hung out until 2:00am. I was very surprised how much fun I had! My next birthday party will be here! It's great for a date, group of friends, or ladies night out....and the price is very reasonable. So enjoy! I would suggest going on a Friday or Saturday night. Oasis Cafe  in Sandy Springs is the best so far.Website to view: http://www.oasiscafe.info

We had been wanting to try Oasis Cafe since we've been on a recent Mediterranean kick (Sultan's, Makara, Mediterranean Grill), and this one looked inviting from the outside, with its patio and fountain.  There was even more ambience when we got inside, great decor, cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed our dishes a lot--I had the Oasis Deluxe Combo (fallafels, hummus, tabouli salad, baba ganoush, dolmathes, and lots of pita bread), and my wife had the lamb kabob special.  The food compared favorably to the others I've been to, good taste and texture, nice presentation, as well as good portions and good value. We were there early in the evening and had the place to ourselves, which was nice, but we want to come back for the entertainment too.  I vow to try the hookah next time!  We'll see whether the next visit earns that 5th star.

Do you ever just go to one of those places, not sure what to expect, and just end up blown away?  It seems to happen to me awful lot, and somehow, my friends credit me with finding all the great spots.Well, I have to say Oasis Cafe was one of these surprises; a friend asked me to check it out, and remembering it was a rotisserie/dive at one point, boy was I in for a surprise.  Night 1:  I walked in early, pretty much expecting to have the place to myself.  The first thing that struck me was the decor; it was absolutely beautiful.  I had the chicken kabobs and spent most of my time talking with the guy who specializes in the Hookah's, watching the news on Michael Jackson.  Food was excellent, with notable high points of the hummus/tihini and eggplant dips being amazing, the chicken being tender with a slight hint of lemon, and the vegetables on the kabobs just outstanding.  Additionally, for those who love garlic,  the paste is made fresh and compliments everything. At this point, I was thinking 4 stars, but I didn't get the full experience to the next night....Night 2: Get there a little later and there is a DJ and definitely an energetic crowd; the lounge room is completely packed.  I give in and try a Hookah (grape, double apple, mango per recommendation) and the owner recommends a drink called Arak.  They complimented each other perfectly.  Now, after some delays, a few friends show up (including my g/f, who is Romanian and a tihini junkie), and we order a separate side of tihini, the mixed kabobs and the ribeye kabobs.  The result was very simple (in addition to the previous night):1) My girlfriend raved about the tihini.  Un. Heard. Of. She makes her own and with hummus or tihini, I usually just get an earful of complain...2) The ribeye kabobs were gone before I even had a chance to sneak over and grab one (good thing there were a few on the mixed kabobs).3) I would get into a fight with you over the shrimp.  I would win, and I'd eat your shrimp, too!  I don't know how to describe the taste, but I do know that my g/f and I hogged it.4) We stayed for multiple hours after dinner, drinking wine and smoking Hookah's, and the entire experience was relaxing, memorable, and probably one of the best group activities you will find without feeling like you have to spend big or go to an overcrowded club. I really do want to express my thanks to everyone there and I hope to see you all again soon!
