Do you have a hankering for hookahs? a taste for tahini? or a belly in need of Baklava? Then this is the place to go! Vatan specializes in Middle Eastern groceries, and allot of Persian goodies. Go for the Turkish Baklava... I didn't care too much for the Persian Baklava.. Its very spicy and sweet and not like the typical baklava(but my boyfriend loved it!) They have everything from huge bags of basmati rice,kitchen utensils/pots/pans,spice mixes, various middle eastern drinks,dried fruit, and different types of lavash. The owner is very nice and even gave me tips on different things to buy on my next visit. Vatan is a small store but If your looking for some culinary creativity to add to your next meal this would definitely be the place to pick up some new flavorful ingredients.
