A decent Persian restaurant - not the best, but certainly not the worst. Whatever you do, don't make this spot your first experience of Persian cuisine: The decor is not typical and the food is not stellar (as it ususally is).

Down on I-drive you would expect a completely different experience. A middle Eastern Grille/Hookah bar with a giant tented patio makes for a great time. You'd expect this place to be littered with tourists, and it is, but it's also the kind of place you can become a regular at. Plus, the kind of tourists are often groups of foreign business men, ordering rounds of drinks, making you wonder what they are talking about through their foreign tongues. The guys who setups up the Hookah is really knowledgeable about it, and you can see with the great care he takes to make sure everything from the coals to the flavor to your accompanying drink all go hand and hand.

Haven't had outstanding service like this in a long time - they are really proud of their food and it shows - This is truly authentic Persian food - disclaimer - If you are used to the more Mediterranean flavor of Lebanese or Syrian food, this is going to be a bit different- Wonderful textures and flavors nonetheless. Don't be afraid to ask about the items in the menu- like I mentioned, they are proud of their cuisine, so it is actually a treat to hear them describe the items in their menu with enthusiasm. I like their eggplant and whey ... a lot - and the complimentary bread with feta cheese is really good too.

This is a hidden gem of a restaurant. I went with a co-worker because I found it on Yelp and it was an excellent choice. We split a Felafel appetizer, had some kebabs and a few glasses of wine, and spent about $80. We were stuffed when we left. It wasn't a bad deal at all. There's inside and outside seating and what sounds like Middle Eastern pop music in the background. The food was delicious and the service was relaxed. I think we would have seen the server more if we ate inside but it wasn't a problem. The only thing I didn't like was that the tip was included in the check. This was clearly marked on the check and maybe it's a good idea in an area where tourists come from countries with different tipping policies, but I would have been happier if they said something. It would be too easy to look at the total, give them a credit card, and double tip them. But I didn't and like I said, that was the only thing I didn't like. There were also some good looking stews on the menu but for me, stews are a cold weather food and it was typical hot, humid September Orlando weather so I didn't try one. Next time I probably will and I'm looking forward to coming back.

How I wish this place were located in Boston.I went here for dinner with three of my Indian coworkers and let them order as Persian cuisine has a good deal in common with Indian food. We started with the hummus and the kashk o'bademjan. The former should be self explanatory (I hope), while the latter was a similarly textured spread/dip made with eggplant. It was not dissimilar to baba ghannoush, but the spicing was much more unusual - it had a lot of dill in it, which was delicious but unexpected, and it was drizzled with kashk, which Wikipedia tells me is a whey product much like sour cream. In any case, it made a good counterpoint to the smoky flavor of the grilled eggplants. This was all served with basket after basket of hot, pillowy pita bread and hunks of fresh feta. For our entree, we asked the staff to pick four of their kabob meals and serve them on a platter family style. Unfortunately, this means that I don't have the foggiest notion of what we ate. There was a kabob with ground lamb, and one with filet mignon, and a couple of different types of chicken...I don't know. But it doesn't particularly matter because I would recommend them all unequivocally. They were served with plates of fragrant saffron rice, which was delicious as well. Finally, for dessert there was baklava. I was the only one who wanted any, but somehow we wound up with a few pieces for the table. Everyone else had a little nibble and I had the rest, thereby rendering myself completely miserable for the remainder of the evening due to be so totally and painfully full. But you know what? It was absolutely worth it.

We were a little taken aback when we walked in by the pure black room and strange smell. Black chairs, fine, but black floors, black walls, black cieling, black table cloths? At least paint the walls something warm and put some white linen on the tables without my grandma's cheap plastic table covers. As few people as were here on a Saturday night (just us) they can afford to clean the linen on the table. You want an upscale restaurant to be warm, comfortable, fresh and clean, and it was none of the above. So, the food must be great, right? Not quite. The barg kabab and shis kabab were advertised as "filet mignon" but were actually skirt steak. I order filet mignon at almost every restaurant I review, and there is absolutely no way this was filet mignon despite being advertised as such. This is completely unforgiveable, especially after spending $30 per person for dinnner. The food wasn't good at all. The meat was chewy, tough, dry and over marinated. The rice lacked any flavor. The green peppers on the shis kabobs were actually banana peppers. The $4 side of vegetables were frozen and chewy. The bread was overcooked. All the food lacked any presentation. Service was friendly and good. We used to eat Mediterranean food every week for over 5 years when we lived in Chicago, and this was absolutely the worst we've ever had. It is OK, warranting 2 stars, but given they are selling skirt steak as filet and that we paid $30 per person they get a 1 star and we definitely wont' be returning. This place will surely be closed soon if they don't change the quality of their food and the decor.

I have had Persian food before but it was a long time ago, so we jumped at the chance to get a good Persian meal. For starters I have to say the service was the best service we have had in a very, very long time anywhere. Our server was a total sweetheart. The food was excellent and very authentic, we decided to have an appetizer sampler with the Eggplant and Whey (FANTASTIC), Falafels (DELICIOUS) and a typical dish of the crunchy rice on the bottom of the pot with a stew on top, so its like a bread dipped in juices. I forgot the name, but it was delicious and when I grew up we used to fight over the nut like crunchy rice this was like going back in time. My hubby ordered the Kubideh and I ordered the lentil soup. All so very delicious. Now, it is important to stress that the flavors of Persian food are very different from what us westerners are accustomed to, so its a new and delicious experience. Our sweet server made us some Moroccan coffee after the meal since we asked if they had any Turkish coffee. She asked if we would like to try her coffee and we had an amazing treat!

If you don't already know, my friend (Leila S.)'s dad owns a Persian place in Virginia. It's the best Persian food on Earth and I will compare all other restaurants to zee Bazaar. No restaurant will EVER match it, but Shiraz comes in a VERY close second. The kebab is fabulous. The owner, Alex, is a very nice guy. The service was incredible.I'm glad to find this place because now I have a new place to be a "regular" :)Don't forget to have hookah and the Persian ice cream!!On weekends there is live entertainment. There is a 10$ cover, but it's waived if you order food.Damet garm Shiraz, damet garm!
