I have never had such a lousy lunch in my life. We were so excited to go to a new place in the neighborhood...never again. Lets start with the iced tea after waiting 10 minutes for it ( I was thirsty) I actually saw the Chef(?) open a cabinet take out a big cannister of powdered lipton ice tea mix put some in a container shake it up and serve it to us...I should have left...but I didn't. I had the Chicken Panini and my lunch partner had the chicken kabob sandwich. So nasty tasting I actually opened it up to see what it was...My friend tasted it and almost gagged...this was the worst thing I have ever had served to me...swear to God. My friend hated his sandwich too. We go out to eat all the time and have had all sort of foods from around the world and this was vile. Even the Middle Eastern party of 3 seated next to us who were familar with this cooking seemed to really not enjoy the food. Bad karma in there too with the Chef(?) barking orders at the staff and trying to get things taken care of...well he should worry about this "food" that he is actually having the nerve to send out to his customers. SHAME ON YOU.

Rob Always beats me to the punch :-) I would rate the food we had as a two. of the three items we tried (falafel, chicken schwarma, and beef schwarma with hummous) the only one I could recommend is the falafel. The beef- my usual fav- was barely palatable. The owner was so nice I actually WANTED to like the food more. Maybe with some specific recs from other Yelpers I'll head back there and try it again. The portions were large and the prices cheap. I wonder what the place would be like at night with people firing up the hookas?

I had a strawberry with nutella (one of my favorite things) crepe which was really good.  Everything else looked good but unfortunately I was not that hungry.  I hope I can go back try additional items and add an additional star.

Cool little place on the north side of town. The staff is super friendly and the food totally fresh. I would highly recommend this for someone wanting to try something new. Would make very fun place for a date.

I've been back frequently since my first review. The place has improved each time I visit. They are now open for dinner and will start delivering starting next week. They have also added a few Mediterranean styled couches plus Hookahs! That along with the TV constantly playing middle eastern music fed through the house speaker system gives the place a very authentic yet modern feel. The food and portions have also been improved in my opinion. I usually go for the Combo lunch special which lets you get any half of sandwich with soup or salad for $8.99. The salad is a full serving of their delicious freshly made house salad and the "half" sandwich is more of a full sandwich portion. I usually get the Chicken Panini that comes with melted Brie Cheese, tomatoes and Arugula. It is made out of the same chicken they marinate for the Chicken Shawarma, which is very good. Today I tried the Salmon panini that comes with goat cheese, arugula, lemon, and olives. That was also good and lighter on the stomach than chicken.I tried taking pictures of the place cause it's really coming together nicely but unfortunately my phone ran out of battery. The good news is I live right next to this place and will be back this week probably. I've also scanned the front and inside of the menu so you guys can get an idea of what else they serve.I would like to point out that their Hooka flavors are apple, grape, mint, and rose.Bon Appetite! Bistro 82 just opened 3 weeks ago after about 1 year and a half of planning. I decided to check it…

Very decent middle eastern food. Might be too ecelectic for some people who aren't familiar with spiced meats and such. I would recommend the Chicken Panini. My only complaints would be the misleading name of the place that it is a little pricey for what you get.

In an effort to expand our lunch-time options, some co-workers and I headed up Biscayne to Bistro 82 to sample some Mediterranean fare.  We were the only table there when we arrived, but a few more groups gathered as we lunched. The place is decorated with a decidedly Middle-Eastern theme.  Lots of draped scarfs, pillows, and hookahs.  There are Lebanese flags hanging in the windows, so I'd guess that's where the owners hail from. The menu is full of your standard Greek/Mediterranean cuisine - spanokopita, hummus, babaganouj, shawarma, and the like.  All of us opted for the shawarma - 2 for beef, 1 for chicken.  They were hand-assembled behind the counter, and then pressed on the sandwich-press to crisp up the wrap (not sure what it's called, but definitely too thin for a pita).  The shawarmas were loaded with our choice of meat, hummus, lettuce, tomato, and pickles (which is what distinguishes shawarma from a regular old gyro).  A little messy, but very tasty. We also started with the spanokopita appetizer - 3 small pies that needed to be heated a little bit more.  Otherwise, they had a nice flavor, and good flakiness.Bistro 82 is a good place to come for some drinks and hookah, and maybe a little nibble.  Unfortunately, I probably won't be back for lunch.  For my money, I'll take Stoupsy's for my gyro fix (since it's the same as a shawarma, just minus the pickles...)Also, please note - 82nd Street is one-way, going west, meaning you have to go to the next street north and cut through the alley, or go around the back way (somehow, some way, we found our way), to get into Bistro 82's parking lot.
