This place is great for takeout food and homemade breads. The falafel and gyro sandwiches are large, fresh, and filling. The spinach pie for less than $1 is good bargain. Salads and spreads, including tabbouleh, hummus, and eggplant, are worth a go. To eat in or take out, the Middle Eastern is a real treat.  Plus you can pick up groceries such as grape leaves, fresh olives, couscous, fresh nuts, and pita bread from the grocery section. The desserts are so delicious you want to just eat them all. The service is fast and friendly.

Great place, especially since its pretty hard to find good Mediterranean bread in Miami.  I guarentee you will not find better Mediterannean food in all of Florida or the States for that matter.   I may sound like I'm a fanatic of the place and that's because I am.  You will be too.

The baklava counter at Daily Bread ROCKS!!!!  I go there for lunch alot and ther service is fast, the food is FRESH and the people are very frinedly.  When I first went I had no idea what was what and they took the time to "translate" everything that I asked about.

I LOVE LOVELOVELOVELOVE the Daily Bread Marketplace! When I get home this is always the first place I stop -- to stock up on homemade pita, the best humus ever, the best tabouleh ever, some tahini, and of course reheatable KIBBY and FALAFEL that God himself couldn't make. The Baclavah counter is delish and they have a good drink selection. Eating there is also incredibly well priced and I always get the falafel and humus platter -- but that giant spit of lamb meat is awful tempting.

This is a great little Mediterranean restaurant/market.  The people are very friendly and willing to help.  I like coming here if I crave Middle Eastern food for lunch because of the all you can eat and it's a great lunch atmosphere.  The quality just rocks.  If you're craving Middle Eastern at dinner, I recommend Maroosh off of Miracle Mile in the Gables.

The shawarma at daily bread is easily the best I've ever had (even in the middle east).  The meat is high-quality, tender, well-spiced, and the sandwiches are packed full of it.  Prices are reasonable (~$6 for a shawarma sandwich). The other items on the menu are authentic as well, but I don't waste my time with them because the shawarma is so amazing. The place also has a small market that is well-stocked with goods for your mideast recipes, albeit somewhat overpriced.

This is my favorite mediterranean restaurant so far. I love it, I dream about their food. Everything tastes good. And they are also a market where you can buy Middle Eastern products.  They make the best hummus.

tucked away off highway onemore of a grocery store, but it stands out as a clean, organized place wth nice selection of lebanese products.excellent hummus, pita chips, zatar breadalso doubles as a mini cafe inside the storewasn't particularly impressed with their shawarma sandwich, esp. because the pickled cabbage is a bit too tangythe falafel sandwich was quite nice.never seen chocolate marshmellows at a middle eastern dessert counter before.much nicer atmosphere than the middle eastern grocery store on sw 3rd

Middle eastern eatery and grocery store - This is the place to grab a quick lunch if you are in the area. You will find a wide array of choices in middle eastern plates and they are all good ! The prices are reasonable and portions are filling. Browse the grocery store and pick up dessert for home or some hummus to go with some authentic pita bread. We are always happy to pull into this place because we know we will leave satisfied.

If possible, I would marry this place and have little Daily Bread babies with it. I don't live in Miami anymore but I visit often and Daily Bread is absolutely a must. I can't get enough of the authentic flavors. You can tell love is an ingredient in every recipe. Make sure you order with your eyes, you'll be kicking yourself if you don't have leftovers for later. I love you so much falafels!!!!

I dream of daily bread at least 3 times a week. I love the babaganoush, hummus, kibbeh, gyro, and greek salad. Great spot for a quick pick up lunch. They also carry hookah's and all the accessories.

I stumbled upon the Daily Bread a couple of weeks back when in the area and thought that the choice of location was unique and worth a stop in at the very least.  I was pleasantly surprised when i walked in at the size of the place.  There is a big area for groceries and another for ordering food/sitting at small tables.  There was a steady stream of people and I immediately sussed that some of the women behind me were there for the first time too asking what it was that I ordered.  I ordered the Beef Shawarma with extra spicy sauce on the side.  It was GOOD!  not great but GOOD!  I would order it again but I wouldn't dream about it and long for it like I do so many other memorable sandwiches that cross my path.  The staff is very friendly and they know how to get your order completed in a reasonable time frame.  I didn't think it was sooooooo inexpensive for lunch as I've paid less for more but it's a worth a try if you are in the area!

I have been coming to Daily Bread since I first moved to Miami.  The marketplace has a variety of great snacks, refrigerated prepared foods (the Shankleesh is awesome), awesome olives, and a great mixture of Mediterranean desserts. The cafeteria side has some of the best Middle Eastern food in the area, with one of the best hummuses in town.  I go for the Shisk Tawook, which when fresh off the grill, falls apart in your mouth.  The spinach pies, kibbeh, and fattoush are also worth a try.  Go on Fridays for the Moussaka.  I am not a fan of the Shawarma, as I have noticed it can dry out easily (many the of entrees are considerably better if they have just made them).  The Falafel is reheated in the microwave, which strips it of the great crunchy crust on the outside, so you can pass that up.  Overall, Daily Bread is a great spot for well made food at a low price.Daily Bread is also one of the few non-Latin cafeterias/restaurants that carries Diet Inka Cola!

Shawarma and Shish Tawook are the two attractions for me. I've had better hummus (see Gyros Plus under Gainesville) but the aforementioned platters are the draw. 3 stars, however, since the Shawarma (beef in their case) and Shish Tawook are sometimes dry. Would be 5 stars if:Meat was fresh off the heat (not reheated)andPita was char grilled (with little black blisters and all)

If you are looking for a casual place, and you may want to also buy a few things to take home, it's a place to eat and a mini market. The food here is fresh, very good. Cafeteria looking atmosphere. If you are looking for a fancier place, this is not for you. Otherwise, you should try it. The humus is delicious and they sell it in the market area of the restaurant. I would try it if I were you...

I love that whenever I go to this place I never spend more than $5, and most of the people I go with never spend more than $8 - sweet!I usually have the tabluli sandwich, and add eggplant dip (babganush?) It is really good. The tabuli is moist so it doesn't get stuck in your throat - love it. Today I had the falafel sandwich. Falafel is usually too dry to my taste and I usually don't like it (wonder why I keep ordering it). I decided to give it a try anyway - jackpot - finally found falafel that I liked. I did order some extra thahini sauce, which probably helped, but in all it was really good. And since all sandwiches come with salad, that in itself did the trick. I also had one of the little fingers (sweets) - so good! and less than a buck! This place is great, and healthy for the most part - it always depends on what you order, of course. The platters - salads can be switched for rice, so if you're not into rabbit food, no biggie, they'll accomodate. All the plates here look good. And they have a mini market inside where you can find some middle-eastern foods that you would never find at Publix - at least not authentic enough. Really like this place and highly recommend it. I've been wanting to try the lentil soup but haven't yet. I'll let you know how it is as soon as I do. The lunch lines can get long and the ladies will rush you, but stay calm and let the person behind you pass if you haven't figured out what you want yet. They're pretty helpful at describing what the foods are and making recommendations.

This place is very good.  Great pita bread.  The chicken shistawook platter is my fave.  Tender pieces of spiced chicken with taboule, a refreshing salad and hummus.  Reasonably priced and has a great little market with lots of hard to find middle easter delicacies.  Don't miss the medjoul dates and the spinach pies.  There are also Euro candy bars for anybody who misses their hometown sweets like Bounty and...well I really didn't examine them all :-)  Good stuff!

We went to the Daily  Bread for the first time last weekend. It was my first time there and I ordered the Chicken Platter with tahini dressing and loved it.It has its own parking lot and a grocery store inside. I went with my sister and her husband who is from England. He loved the grocery store because they carry all the candy bars he cannot easily find here: Lion Bar, Yorkie, Bounty, Toffee Crisp.

This place has a cafeteria and grocery store.  I come here for all of the ingredients to my papa's favorite Lebanese recipes, last time my mom was down she went hog wild with the selection.  I always end up spending sooooo much more than I was expecting because I end up stocking up!The cafeteria has a very complete and delicious selection of food.  Can't go wrong with anything you choose.  I love their Kibbeh, and grape leaves.

Yum yum yum. We love Daily Bread. It is one of our regular lunch spots. I come from Lebanese heritage, and the food is really quite good. It's hidden away in a little spot that you drive past all of the time on US1, but maybe have never seen. Entering, it looks like a cafeteria, but the taste is that of a sit down restaurant. I get the tabouli sandwich or if I'm in the mood for something more, I get the Falafel platter. My husband always gets the shwarma sandwich and a single ball of kibbee. Sometimes we share a Moujadra (lentils rice).  Even with all of the food we get, it always comes out to just under $20.Each day that have a daily special that looks great, though never vegetarian, so I just have to look, not taste! They have soups daily, as well. They are open until 8pm, which is a funny time...so I always wind up there for lunch, not an early dinner. The grocery is great to pick up some ready made items, labneh, canned goods, and fresh baked bread!Once we called in a to go order on the way there, and arriving 5 minutes later it was all ready and waiting for us to pay at the register. Perfect!

I brake for hummus!  So with that said after checking out Daily Bread I have to admit  that this place gets my seal of approval.  It's a little hidden.  If you don't know where it is, you'll probably never drive past it; but it's a great little gem.  I went there for lunch and had a kibbi sandwich.  I'll definitely go back and try some of their other offerings.  If you're daring and want to cook up some Mediterranean cuisine, they have a few aisles of packaged food that I promise you, you'll never find at Publix.  The staff is friendly and the dinning area is quite comfortable for the lunch bunch.

I would say it is the best in Coral Gable area. I love their falafel sandwhich. The prices are pretty good. I don't know what else to really say about this place. I do like it, but I still think Almazaar's near FIU is probably the best in Miami. It's kinda hidden though and is almost like a hidden gem. I actually managed to find this place after I was running on the bike path there on US 1. I definitely recommend this place though.

I visited daily bread for a quick weekend lunch. The beef platter was good, the salad was a little strong for my taste (too much lime maybe)? Overall, I thought it was ok. After reading all the positive reviews my expectations must have been too high. I did a round of the groceries as well and they seemed priced a little on high side. At least for the type of items that can be readily ordered online like yellow lentils.

I really like that Daily Bread is so close to my house. I usually go there when I'm craving the "shish tawook" sandwich, a whole wheat pita wrapped around chicken, pickled cabbage and some onions. Delicious! The tabbouleh is fresh and yummy too! I'd say 4.5 stars!

Yes almost all of my reviews are 4 stars but I must add Daily Bread to this list.  My wife and I love tostop in for a quick, hearty and always deliciously satisfying meal.  Whether it is the Stuffed Grape Leaves, the Kafta Kabob sandwich, the Kibbe or Hummus and Pita daily Bread never disappoints. The price point never hurts the wallet either and I am ashamed to say that after eating here six or seven times I finally took a minute to walk the aisles of the market.  I must say that I found all of the items sold at the lunch counter avaliable for sale to take and prepare at home.  A very nice surprise!

The yellow lentil soup is sooooo yummy, I could eat a stock pot full of it.  I surely would call ahead for this soup because it sells out quickly.  The chicken tawook platter and falafel sandwich are my favorite things to eat here.  The baklava in either the regular, walnut or pistachio variety melts in your mouth and is so worth it.  The staff is helpful, friendly, and one of them calls me by name.

Came here this afternoon to pick up Baklava and other Greek desserts, that I needed. Reccomended by George, thanks......It was perfect for exactly what I was looking for. My daughter tried the Baklava and said it was really good, nice and fresh and moist. I do not care for it so she was great to help me out.I did grab a menu for the deli section, they offer great lunch deals. And it was packed, and of course I was looking at everyone's plate and the food looked really good. We had ate already otherwise I so would have had lunch there. The prices were very reasonable....and alot of food....Minus one star only because I felt their desserts were a little pricey for the sizes. $1.50 for a very small piece of Baklava. I had alot to buy so it really added up. I am looking forward to trying them out for lunch, and then will update....Cool, with the grocery store in there as well. The pita bread looked really good also.......

Let me preface this review by saying that opinions on Levantine cuisine (AKA Mediterranean AKA Middle Eastern) depend heavily on personal preference.  Those preferences usually stem from particular styles or variations of the dishes prepared in different regions or in different family traditions. With that out of the way, this is my favorite out of all similar offerings in South Florida.  The fried kibbeh, grape leaves, hummus, labneh, and tabbouleh are all excellent.  The friend kibbeh is perfectly prepared with a crispy outer crust, flavorful outer layer of bulgur, and delicious spiced filling.  Of note, the tabbouleh here is prepared with more bulgur, scallion, and lemon juice (relative to parsley) than elsewhere, which I prefer.  Kudos to Daily Bread for also using fresh, ripe tomatoes in their tabbouleh unlike the pale-pink abominations called tomatoes used elsewhere in town. All food is served cafeteria-style with both indoor and (meager) outdoor seating.  Prices come to a little over $10/person depending on your choices. The marketplace section of Daily Bread offers some harder-to-find items, such as bulk fine, medium, and coarse bulgar wheat.  A variety of deserts are also available, although I think most are brought in as opposed to being made on the premises.  Their pita bread, though, is made on-site.  Hookah fans will find both hardware and consumables for sale here as well.

Some people inquired as to where I get the Ajvar. Here, I'm told they sell two brands (Marco Polo and Zergut) but I always have seen the Zergut, not the Marco Polo brand.A jar of Ajvar is $4.95 here. I do not know of another place that sells it.UPDATE: I just saw the Marco Polo Ajvar at Marky's on NE 79th Street for $3.30. I come to this Middle Eastern market for the market - since comparing with most other Lebanese…

The Daily bread was one of the only Arabic places I could find in my area. Let me tell you right away. Arabic food is VERY labor intensive. To pick the tops of curly parsley and leave the stems, to not add filler like lettuce and cucumber, to season correctly and not over or under salt, oil or add too much lemon juice is a careful balancing act. Even if you do accomplish all these challenges you will not overcome the fact that a good Taboli will only last a day, two at the most before becoming mushy. These are the challenges every Arabic chef faces when cooking.   Im sorry to report that for my tastes The daily bread fell into many of these pitfalls. I had their Kibbie platter, and while it was a nice change from the Cuban and Italian food surrounding me everywhere I look it was not up to the standard im used to.   For starters their Kibbie was cooked to perfection on the outside, but soggy and disappointing on the inside. The tabouli was full of stems and some sort of pink pickled vegetables that I can assure you I've never had in real Arabic food. The hummus was lacking lemon juice and garlic as well as a bit of salt to make the whole thing pop. We were given a bit of pita bread that was room temperature. I prefer mine warmed or toasted, a nice touch to prove that you really care.   When I went I was one of three patrons there, it was not busy so there was no excuse for lazy food. The market was great, everything I need to cook my own Arabic food at home was found at daily bread. If you're looking for a Arabic pantry in Coconut Grove/Coral Gables then look no further. If you want a quick place to get Arabic food then stop by, but don't expect anything near the family quality that you'll find in your Sutu's (Arabic for grandma's) kitchen.   Two stars for a passable Arabic experience. The food was only one star, but the market gives it a boost of one star. Few if any of the employees were Arabic, and the food was a mass-produced disappointing representation of what Arabic food should/could be.
