so i took my fiance to club 390 for his pre-birthday celebration.i love this place!we got in free 'cause wednesday is couples night otherwise i think admission is $20/person. (not sure, so don't quote me, guess we'll find out the next time we go!)first off - clean! this place is so clean, and smoke free. (yay illinois!) i didn't like that the stage was dimly lit. i felt it should have been more lit up. it definitely would NOT have taken away from the ambience. it would have added to me and my fiance's visual while trying to pick out our favorite dancers. (i've been to polekatz and i LOVE that their dancers are the stars on the stage - it's that well lit.)anyway, there were so many girls to choose from, and enough variety that if you were not interested in a certain "type" you could be pretty sure that your type would eventually end up on the stage to dance for you. AND the best part is these women are beautiful. i don't think i saw one single unattractive woman. and despite my straightness, i am a fan of beautiful women AND very picky about what i consider beautiful. the girls here are gorgeous. and not stick thin. (our favorite dancers had nice thick asses and thighs, and NATURAL boobs. neither of them was skinny at all - that would be lola and shae i'm talking about) they were not the only women who caught our eye. but obviously those are our favorites.even when you are approached for dances you are not made to feel like you should feel guilty if you don't want that person to dance for you. i generally do not like being approached by anyone to get my business - i feel like when i know what i want i will pursue it myself. HOWEVER i do realize that i do not pay their bills and bless them for doing their thing. at least when we were approached if we said no, we were left alone. and the lovely lola, who did oblige us and lap dance for us ROCKED it completely. i've never had a woman dance for me until tonight, but it all happened so "naturally" that i am now a fan of it. we got our money's worth too.we will definitely be going back, perhaps to try a weekend night. maybe because it was wednesday that we went it was pretty dead, and me and my man were the ONLY couple in there! i was disappointed about that. i think more couples should experience this.

Long ago I might have labeled 390 a Gentleman's club, not so true these days, this alike Club O is just a strip bar. Plenty of lovely women of all shapes, some with an exciting stage presence (better than many other strip clubs around here) but it lacks. It's trying to be an upscale Gentleman's club and falling short. Time has not been good for 390. Their security and bouncers are far more superior than, say their neighbors at Club O. I've never felt any bullshit difference in treatment. Security isn't all about trying to get some dollars for anything, they do their job first. What blows though is the change in service by race / denomination is now here as well. That's really too bad, this was one of the last clubs I'd visit. Here we only visited with them for twenty minutes. Our waitress was slow and didn't know the beer menu. Is it too much to ask for a waitress to know what beverages are on the menu? "Killians? What's that, I've never heard of it." Seriously?? She couldn't tell me if they had SoCo either. Even when asked if Southern Comfort was offered here, she didn't make the relation in names. There's a security guy that's usually here that takes care of me. He wasn't so we had no approaches to our table. The guard at the door knew why we were up and tried to get us to stay. If only that kindness was found in the entertainment. Eh, I'm sick of these fake ass Gentleman wannabe clubs. On the night we happened in, cover was only $5.In response to the Question mark head: his review states " I dont know what that other guy was talking about black people not getting service.But if your race has a bad stereotype, tip HUGE and the strippers will talk. " - Sadly this is something many people believe, but isn't true.First off, I pointed out a difference in service by color. Not specifically black people. Is there a difference in service, Hell fucking yes there is. Tip more you say? Who doesn't tip alot? Or is that another failed assumption on your part. Racism is not dead. It's alive and kicking, open your eyes and read. Son. Stopped in recently as of 11/2007. Had a pretty awesome time out here and met a few very awesome…
