Yummm! El Basha serves authentic Lebanese dishes.  The food here is great, but don't go for the atmosphere bc there is none. I love the beef shwarma salad. Also, you can smoke the hookah.

I was excited to try El Basha and immediately upon reading the menu board I'll admit it... I decided I wanted both the hummus appetizer and chicken wrap.  A $15 lunch later (I included a $3 tip at the counter because I figured they'd be bringing out my food and cleaning up after me), I was somewhat surprised at the portions.  And for whatever reason, I'm always disappointed with thin pita (because I'm such a crazy bread lover), but that's just a personal preference.I try not to compare restaurants, but at another Mediterranean restaurant in town, I could have stuffed myself silly for that price.  Of course it's not all about the quantity, but the quality didn't really win me over either... although I have to admit presentation of the hummus was awesome.Don't get me wrong, I was full when I left and the food was good.  But I don't plan on going back unless it's at the suggestion of someone else (or as an escapist alternative for a chain).

I came here on a  sunny day, so I sat out on the patio and had at the humungous vegetarian sampler with a good hummus, excellent pita, babaganoush, and that parsley dish whose name escapes me...wonderful food, good service, recommend sitting outdoors if weather permits.  Looking forward to trying a meat dish on a future visit.

Oh El Basha how I love you!  You make the best salads in the world!  I miss them but rest assured every time I am in Omaha I will come see you!  When we lived in Omaha we were regulars at El Basha, the salads are huge and fresh, the veggies crisp and delightful so delicious with yummy fresh herbs and the dressing that isn't all gelatin like...So, here's the thing, I am a picky little bitch and if a single green in my salad isn't perfect it will be rejected (don't worry my husband isn't as picky so it doesn't go to waste) but with the salads at El Basha I didn't have to go all monkey on them picking out the questionable pieces nope all perfection just dig in!  Basha's Salad is my favorite, the hummus rocks, the falafel is great, and the wraps wonderful!

The previous reviewer is spot-on - fantastic food, zero atmosphere. This place was recommended to us by some Turkish friends and I've now been there twice. Both times I got our friends' favorite, the chicken shawerma salad, because it is just that good: crisp, fresh vegetables with a delicious, tart dressing and nicely grilled meat.My husband was less enthusiastic about the kebabs, but he is quite the connoisseur, so I think the average diner would enjoy them just fine. The second time he got the salad, too, and was also raving. The food comes out very attractively presented, especially for a place with plastic table clothes and a soft drink bar.In addition to our Turkish friends, both times I've been there have been several Middle Eastern families eating here, which I consider a good sign for the food's authenticity.
