This is one of the few hookah bars in the Dallas area (there's another Velvet Hookah in Deep Ellum and I'm sure there are other spots). This one is smaller than the Deep Ellum version, but it still has cozy corners with plenty of pillows upon which you can lounge while you smoke your shisha. The hookahs are $20 starting and are all specialty (i.e. combos of tobacco and interesting bases--like milk or flavored liquors). They have specialty martinis that are yummy but like most martinis, pricy. From 7-9 pm every night, you can get half-priced hookahs. And on Wednesdays, you're supposed to be able to get 1/2 priced specialty drinks as well. Part of the rating this place earned is due to the fact that the bartender ate fire while we were there. How cool!

Addison's sister to Deep Ellum's Hookah Lounge definitely has cozier seating, but loses a lot of the appeal to the Downtown Dallas version when it comes to the DJ set up and the overall crowd in general. I can't picture the Addison types at a posh Hookah bar having random conversations over a puff of smoke. It seems to clash for some reason. My first experience there was enjoyable however, since the service is friendly and speedy and the hookahs are decently priced and delish.
