I went here for my birthday. They have belly dancers, hookah, and a small bar area where you can dance the night away. This is a great place for groups and special events. Overall we had a lot of fun and alot of good food.

It's a club, it's a restaurant, it's a smoking lounge. Al Amir's got everything under one roof. Every time I've been here is for Shisha though which is much pricier than the other lounges in the area. But the music they play here is awesome and the dance floor is full of hotties :) Had Mint tea and Baklava here as well. Nice but expensive entertainment!

Awesome club/restaurant/hookah bar. 3 levels with the restaurant on the first, the hookah bar on the 2nd and the dance club at the bottom. Crowd is mainly Persian and Arab and they do know how to party. They also have belly dancing on the weekends. Pretty cool place to come chill, smoke some shishah , enjoy some kabobs and dance and drink .

This place is so much fun, you can drink, dance, eat, and be entertained. Plus a lot of people don't realize it's like two clubs in one. If you need to relax from the fast paced arab music go to the other side of the club and you will find hip hop. I love going here especially with a lot of people, it doesn't matter if your lebanese, american, or hispanic, this place is fun for everyone.

i love to come to Al-Amirs with a crowd and for celebrations. They have good food and lots of veggies. they have hookah and a dance area down stairs lower level and HOOKAH! they also have great belly dancers come out ever so often. they have a bar area that gets packed! only bone i have to pick is with is their service. i had to wait an hour before someone came to take my order and i didn't the soup i ordered till maybe 45 minutes had passed. the bartenders are so sweet and provide the best service though. they seem to make up what the waitresses lacks.

Is "eh" a word in Lebanese Arabic? Eh. Eh. Eh. Al Amir has a fantastic lunch buffet that is reasonably priced and offers all kinds of Middle Eastern cuisine that comes in an all-you-can-eat package (perfect for Texas, right?). Its a great spot to have a business lunch and impress your colleagues with your knowledge of babaganou... ba... eggplant. At dinner it gets more expensive, the mojito I had was $9. That is a rip off, even for Addison. The drink menu does not have prices on it at Al Amir for a reason, I guess. Most of the dinner entrees will run $15-$20 and it's basically the same stuff that is on the lunch buffet for a cheaper price. The appetizers brought to the table were frozen on the inside, and were also overpriced. They have belly dancers on the weekend, which I can only determine is a woman who waves her arms around with little clinky things and makes for awkward moments as you're trying to have a conversation at your table. Speaking of conversation, the music is too loud on the weekends to really have one. That being said, if you want to go out in a bar or nightclub atmosphere, that works great. Just don't expect a quiet dinner here on a Saturday night. Overall, I was dissapointed in the dinner (1 star for it) and satisfied with the lunch (5 stars) so i'm splitting the difference. If you buy your shirts at Aeropostale, shine your iphone every 4 minutes, and have a fake coach wallet you bought at a flea market in San Antonio, this is the perfect bar for you.

Friday night the service and the food was very good. I think the group I was with managed to sample most of the menu and there were smiles all around, with one exception. There are only two desert offerings. The Baklava Ice cream Cake is delicious, but plan to share. It is almost 1/4 lb of ice cream, plus plenty of whipped cream. However, the cashew fingers were not of the same quality as the rest of the menu. One guest described its as "sheet rock with whipped cream" and it did not look much more appetizing than that description, though I usually like pirouettes, which I think these were supposed to be.The other detractors were the front door staff and the game room/bar. With one of our party in a wheel chair and steps everywhere not a single one of the brawny men at the door offered any assistance with helping us lift him so he could join the table. Nor were they willing to open a side door to give him access to the bar. The music in the bar is droning techno-rap, not the delighful arab music from the rest of the restaurant. And the hooka menu is limited, more expensive than anywhere else in town and on this occassion the double Apple was heavily tinged with licorice for some reason. The other drawback is that if you were not already dining there, a $10 cover kicks in for the bar, though I have no idea how they justify it.One last comment.... the belly dancers performance. Not the best. There are better dancers at most middle eastern clubs around them the metroplex and the first dancer's choreography made me wonder if she was a student.

Sorry to say it is now closed , go to the Addison location . The best belly dancer in texas Tamra Henna is one of the dancers and a must see .

If you are looking for some good Lebanese food, go to Al Amir's. The decor is a little kitschy, but the food is fantastic. When we went, we had hummus, tabouli, garlic chicken, and the beef kabob. All of it was good, prepared like you'd find in a Lebanese home. The rice they serve is exactly how my step family serves it. Next time I go, I'm trying the spinach pie. After dinner, we indulged in a hookah. If you love hookahs, try one here.

Pretty decent for a lunch place... Large spread for a buffet and lots of options for vegetarians (in fact a lot more options for vegetarians!). I love the usual suspects hummus, baba ganouj, taboule, etc. What particularly caught my interest was the huge shank of lamb which they had available for an all you can eat! Now that's something which you don't see very often (they also had fried chicken but I'll pretend that I didn't see that :) ). I quite enjoyed the rice they had along with the various gravies in their dishes (ocra, lamb leg). Overall nice fresh pita bread and good quality of food in general ranks this at a solid 3 stars. The baklava (my current favorite sweet) was decent as well.Edit: This was at their new Addison location.
