Good smoke, BYOB, a little overpriced but that's what you get.Edit: I must edit this review and lower the score a bit, due to the degradation of service, and the fact they don't freeze their bases anymore, leading to a harsher smoke. You'll see employees smoking out of frozen bases, but will act like they don't do it if you ask.

Heat is one of the more interesting Hookah Bars I have ever been to.  It was defiantly nice on the inside, really spread out, room to move around, nice couches and some really comfortable chairs with a big screen and music which is not blaring.  They are a bit slow on seating you, however friendly at the door and the entire staff is comprised of college students, which gives the place a young if unprofessional feel. (not always a bad thing). The only strange things is they take our ID to mark your ticket (I really didn't like that), and they are hard core about not letting you touch the coals. Their hookahs are defiantly of the cheaper Chinese design, and didn't have that sturdiness of the Syrian or Lebanese hookahs.  All of their shisha is a derivative of Starbuzz, and their "exclusive blends" are just mixes of starbuzz flavors which they charge you massive amounts more for (rather annoying, 35 bucks for a hookah that is just starbuzz is totally not worth it.)  There was a sign that said you can bring your own bottle if you want (I think there was still a bottle charge) and they have hummus, but I didn't see any one eating it.  Basically, I came here twice during a business trip cause it was the closest, but I wouldn't make a big drive to go here again.

This place is GHETT-O. I've been to every hookah bar in the DFW and this one by far is the skankiest. The first time I went there was at the behest of a friend. When we got there they charged us a $10 cover. We went inside and everyone was basically just barely 18 or had a convincing fake ID and was acting like it. They don't serve any mediterranean food worth mentioning, and everyone there seemed to only order pizza. Pizza and arghili? Really?Someone in our group was already seated, so I tried it. It was obviously prepared by someone very new to the hookah scene.I am usually a go-with-the-flow kinda guy, but I wasn't havin' it at this place and demanded my cover fee back as I left. To Heat's credit, not only did I get my cover back but the owner himself actually came out, asked us why we were leaving and if he couldn't convince us to stay and give it a chance if he gave us a hookah on the house.

HEAT, so far, has been one of the most laid back hookah lounges in the DFW area I have ever been to.  Right from the get-go, the attendant was courteous and very helpful with flavor recommendations.  Although the prices may be a bit high, it's not out of line with other hookah lounges.  (Although I personally would never buy out of their $30 section of the menu for mixed Starbuzz shisha).  The $14 and $9 flavors are more than decent enough. The hookah's themselves... let's just say what they lack with "looks", it more than makes up for in the simplicity of the hit.  I didn't go lightheaded because I was inhaling nothing, like with some cheaper hookahs out there. For those of you over 21, HEAT is BYOB (although I think they charge extra for that). The seating was wonderfully comfortable.  (That really makes a difference in a hookah session).Highly Recommended!
