BarLola Tapas Lounge Reviews
by Melissa M.
This place would get a five from me if they A.) eliminated smokers (sorry guys/gals, I hatet it). They could allow pipes and cloves thoughB.) Got comfier chairs (I know the wrought iron chairs are functional but they hurt my bum after sitting and drinking their sangria).Which brings me to my point. The sang, the sang, my friends, is just tasty with chunks of fruit the way the sangria gods intended. The waitress was as sweet as could be, nevermind the fact that Derek had made in known that a bunch of people were coming to BarLola and they review things. She checked in with us probably every 6 minutes, but was not annoying about it, very nice!Props to Derek K. for organizing this awesome outing. The patio was great, the company, phenomenal and the gazpacho was just what I needed!

Came to BarLola for my birthday dinner yesterday. Had a lovely time, and enjoyed everything, but definitely prefer Toro for some good Tapas food. We tried the Sangria... a whole pitcher of it actually, which was supposed to be only 4 glasses worth, but turned out to be almost more than we could finish. It was delicious though, and for a 21st birthday how can you not leave drunk. Most memorable menu items we tried were the empanadas and crabmeat crostinis The service was good and we sat out on the patio which was lovely. I used to pass this place later at night, and the patio looks like even more fun then. BarLola is good, but I have had better. Never know till you try.

This place was very disappointing. The tapas were mediocre and more expensive than other places with better food. The sangria was boring and ridiculously overpriced for pitchers. Additionally, the service was not great. The waiter screwed up our order and delivered something to our table that we had not ordered. Upon explaining this, the staff acted like we were the crazy ones. Basically, this place is overpriced and the food is sub-par at best - there are many other better tapas places around town.

Bar Lola was recommended to me by a friend of mine who lives in the area.. I went in with real high hopes and was a little disappointed.. Maybe, I should just lower my expectations.. As usual, we weren't sure of our plans, so, hadn't made reservations.. When we showed up, they said that they didn't have any tables, but, we could eat in the bar area.. They usually don't let people under 21 eat there, but, we promised that our cousin who is 20 yeas old, wasn't going to drink and they were OK with that.. The rest of us shared a pitcher of Sangria.. It was quite good.. The thing I didn't like about it was that it had too much ice and the place was a little warm.. So, by the time we were ready for second servings, it was already a little watered down.. Well, it kept us sober, so, I'm not complaining too much.. They also brought out some bread and spiced butter for the table.. The bread was OK and the spiced butter wasn't too bad, but, was very heavy in Sage.. Now, for food.. we were 4 of us, with one person being a vegeterian.. So, we ordered 6 tapas dishes.. 3 veg and 3 non-veg.. We got.. 1. Patatas Ali-Oli - Sauted baby red potatoes with a garlic mayo "Ali-Oli" .. Hmm.. this was OK.. I've had better at other tapas places.. It was way too garlicky.. 2. Setas Silvestres - Sauted garlicky wild mushrooms - Not bad.. Not bad.. I usually don't like mushrooms, but, I could eat this.. I would order it again.. 3. Canalones Rellenos con Vegetales Asados - Roasted vegetable stuffed cannelloni with creamy tomato manchego cheese - Now this was really good.. The sauce was amazing and we later used it for dipping sauce for the bread.. 4. Gambas al Ajillo - Garlicky shrimp - This was the last dish to come out and it was nice and sizzling and quite spicy.. Yum! The oil was nice to eat with the bread as well.. 5. Croquetas de Pollo - Chicken croquettes with Lola's savory tomato sauce - Hmm... this dish was also quite yummy, but, again, very heavy in Sage.. Tasted quite a bit like the thanksgiving poultry seasoning.. 6. Palmeritos - Baked Mediterranean dates wrapped in bacon - Was OK.. My cousin didn't really like the dates.. So, I ate the dates and he ate the bacon.. All in all... The whole experience was nice.. A little pricey, but, hey, what isn't in Back Bay.. I think I would go there again, just for the atmosphere.. Oh.. And their, rest rooms.. They are just outside the restaurant (no you don't have to walk out on street to get to them, just through the back door) in the building that the restaurant is in.. Not a huge deal, was just worth mentioning..

Love love love the food here. A more generous serving for a Tapas restaurant. The sangria was only okay, but they had this delicious martini with an orchid in it. We went during a snowstorm so the place was pretty quiet, but we still recieved good service. The bar area looked cute but I haven't been there... yet.

I actually came back for another go with their service. The food was still good. But ... yes... another but... the service hasn't changed. I think it is there service motto to ignore your customer and treat them like they don't exist. The place wasn't packed...they just opened and only have 5 tables full. We had to wait 10-20 minutes for someone to walk up to our table to give us the menu and acknowledge us. We waited an additional 20 minutes just for our check to arrive.I mean what is going on here? This is the final time I am coming here. If there servers and management can't even be hospitable why they bother opening a restaraunt? They won't change.Someone send Ramsay to them. The food wasn't all that amazing as I was told...First time coming here and the experience couldn't…

Found this spot with my best friend. I might get absolutely slammed for this - but I truly thought that their tapas was tastier and better priced than anything I've had at Tapeo or Toro. And their wine selection was fabulous - though after reading all these reviews I'll try the sangria next time we're there. Not to mention, tucked on the corner of Comm and Dartmouth, its a bit less noisy than Newbury and the patio is a perfect place to grab dinner with friends. Knocked off half-star for the waitstaff - who seem a bit frazzled sometimes. Our waiter dropped someone else's silverware (laden with a creamy red sauce) on my freshly laundered white skirt and then proceeded to move to clean it off himself (awkward). I blocked that little maneuver - and then he promptly turned and walked away without apologizing. Strange.Knocked off another half-star because they allow smoking on the patio and I felt like I was eating in between two chimneys.

Abandon me on the recessed patio with a few pitchers of sangria and five tapas dishes alone and I'll be happy for hours. Maybe a fair bit more poor as a carafe is almost $30, but hey, it goes down like... wine? Right.Anyway, thanks to Derek K for introducing us (a gaggle of silly yelpers) to this spot! I've intended to come for months at Yihwa H's recommendation but didn't meander over until tonight. And man oh man, I'm bummed to have missed out on this gem. While the tapas isn't mindblowing, the prawn fritters, ducking and spinach/artichoke dip are solid. The service however, was outstanding. Perhaps because the staff knew we were all reviewing brethren but they were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The ambiance is a bit funky but casual and warm. And the al fresco area is the perfect way to spend a balmy summer night!

Oh BarLola, how I want to give you 5 stars, but you're just not there yet. I've invested lots of my money this summer in your sangria, but you let me down on Saturday night. you were actually out of the white sangria. still, the food was delicious and we managed to still ring up quite the bar bill even without the white sangria. you were even nice enough to comp us the wine that one of my friends didn't like. but next time, don't run out of the white sangria. I love tapas joints, and I like Bar Lola. You can sit outside. You can even smoke (if that's your…

Bacon wrapped dates...This place has become a favorite dinner spot with out-of-town friends. It's well worth the short train/bus ride from Cambridge into the Back Bay and if you drive parking in the Back Bay garage is easy (albeit not cheap). The sangria is worth the money but beware: you'll burn through pitchers fast with a large group so order them two or three at a time. Lots of vegetarian options and I've yet to find a dish here that I didn't enjoy. I even tried anchovies for the first time the other night - yum!

I had dinner at Bar Lola a few weeks ago. It was a Friday night and we were fortunate enough to sit outside to enjoy the warm weather. We started with sangria and ordered several of the tapas, including the scallops, chicken skewers, gambas, solomillo, spinach and artichoke dip. Everything was amazing! The best part of some of the dishes were the sauces. We were using our bread to enjoy the extra sauce before they could clear our plates. I've been to Bar Lola several times now and I always enjoy the food and have a great time. One of my favorites restaurants in the city for the food and ambiance - great for a girls night or a romantic date.
by Janet R.
I will repeat mostly what others have said, with the exception that our service was good. The Sangria is delicious. I am not as impressed with the food. Here is what we had, the menu has changed a bit: Chicken croquettes with Lola's savory tomato sauce- very good. Roasted duckling with Valencia orange sauce - I am not a duck person but my fiance did not rave about this either. Grilled beef tenderloin with sherry sauce - fair, too well done for me and sort of flavorlessGarlic Green beans with almonds - very goodCrab onion cheese cassoulet - very sweet and rich, i did not like this my fiance did. A little crab cake-like tapas - very good but greasy. Dogs are allowed on the patio and in fact one ate many of our tapas. I do like the outdoor ambiance while drinking sangria in back bay. Personally I like Tasca, Cuchi cuchi or most any other tapas place better.

THEY LOST MY CREDIT CARD!That wasn't even the worst of it. The manager seemed to think that when they found my credit card (maybe the next night, he said), they would charge me for my food. I asked to speak with the owner who arrived at my table with an obnoxious smirk on his face. I told him that I was going out of town the next day, without my card, and that I was very unhappy. He asked me what I thought he should do about it. INCREDIBLY RUDE! It made me wonder if this type of thing happens a lot. BE CAREFUL AT BAR LOLA!!!

I had the pleasure of going to Bar Lola before visiting the theater. It was my first real exposure to Tapas and from what I can tell their selection was both varied and delicious. I did find the atmosphere a little loud and busy for a quiet pre-theater date with the closeness of the tables providing little privacy. Though I tend to favor more quiet establishments so I doubt that would be a detractor for many.

I went here for a birthday party a few weeks back. We got a small private room in the back. Dimly lit, beautiful decor, very classy and romantic: would be perfect for a date or girl's night out. Our waiter was nice and attentive without being bothersome and was very helpful when it came to selecting our wine. Wine arrived and was delish! The food all looked delicious...I only ordered one plate-sauteed mushrooms-which was delicious but literally only a tiny plate of mushrooms. This is not a dancing place though! Music is fab but mellow.
by Amanda S.
The food here is really very freakin delicious. Much better than Tasca in Brighton, in my opinion. However, the price range, as it indicates on Yelp is merely a "$$"...but my party of 6 SOMEHOW managed to spend a total of $500. And that's about $80+ per person before tip! The sangria was good, but the staff spilled water/drinks/other kinds of fluids on our table three times (they should've offered free dessert since it was my friend's b'day but they didn't, haha.) I would definitely come back again for special occasions!

Kinda overdue on my review for this place, as I went back in October. Nonetheless, here is the skinny.Went there on a Friday night with friends and sat in the back room with the rest of the folks...the bar was overcrowded.. We ordered some of the scallop and calamari tapas, which we all savored and approved. The key through the night was the Sangria. Wondrous and allmighty Sangria... it just kept coming...and coming. So great... I love the red motif throughout the place, the lights are dimmed and allows the red to really set the mood. Excellent decor and details. Our server (Carlos) was attentive and pleasant. All in all a good experience at this Tapas joint. Nothing spectacular, but I'll def be back. Good Sangria, good vibes. Salud!

Nothing works up an appetite like getting bid on at a date auction for hundreds of dollars, all in the name of charity and a sweet pair of shoes!Where to whet the whistle (or keep it hydrated, as a few drinks were already down the hatch at this point) and nosh on some refuel? A Friday night with no reservations would normally spell disaster, but at Bar Lola it's spelled http://you.may.have.to...iends!And wait we did. At the bar. With drinks and a few starters. We sipped amongst a lively crowd and wafting smells garlic. A pleasant way to pass the time as any. A warning to the indecisive: this menu looks like the dictionary of tapas. So much to choose from and so little time! To order, we each (finally) selected one or two items from the Tapas menu and a full plate of paella...with 3 pitchers of Sangria. The food itself was really tasty, if not a bit salty and there was so much variety that everyone found a favorite...and got to share it with everyone else at the table. Needless to say there was a lot of feeding one another going on...the sangria, I am certain, helped facilitate this fun!Stuffed to the gills with food, titillating conversation and about all the sangria we could handle, our time at Bar Lola was $30 per person well spent.

Randomly noticing a listing for flamenco dancing in the paper, and seeking something precisely that random to do, we rolled into BarLola on a Sunday night. Of course, i should have known that free flamenco dancing couldn't be any sort of secret. So we wound up sitting in the other room and couldn't really even hear the music. Oh well. It's a good thing the food was still good. It's not terribly expensive, as tapas goes, and they have a whole bunch of dishes that are very tasty takes on stuff that other tapas restaurants do, and a few i haven't had before. It's a pretty big place for being in a Comm. Ave basement, with some nice alcoves and things, although it can get pretty loud. About the only nit i can think of to pick is that it'd be nice if they had a Spanish beer like Estrella or San Miguel for us poor benighted souls who don't like wine and still want to keep it a bit authentic. Other than that, though it's a good place to partake in the wonders of short-attention-span dining. It's really a wonder i don't do it more often, now that i think about it.

I went here late, so I didn't try the food. But my Puerto Rican friends are always hanging out here, and one night during finals I was tired of studying and needed to go out, so I grabbed a friend and off we went. The place is FULL of other latinos, and the bartenders speak Spanish too, which is nice because it made me feel like I was at home. Although there are a lot of rich Mexican kids wanting to spend daddy's money, so if that annoys you a lot, then skip this place altogether. It doesn't bother me too much, as long as they don't talk to me, so it was OK.The sangría I found to be overpriced for what I got. It was seriously watered down, maybe a 2:1 water-to-wine ratio, which won't work for me. And it was $28 for a pitcher with maybe 4 glasses in it. But maybe I'm being too picky because I make one hell of a sangría, and I've tried REAL sangría, too. The drinks weren't too expensive, although I had a bad craving for beer and stuck to that and the sangría.The music was decent; again, it made me feel like I was back home. My only problem was that there is no "dancing" area. It's just some tables pushed aside and people awkwardly dancing around. So that didn't really work for me, I mean, they can't tease me with good music and no dancing room!Oh, and this place doesn't have its own bathroom, which I found weird. You sort of have to go outside for that. Not a big deal, because there's a door connecting the place to the bathroom, but still, very weird.

I joined http://yelp.com because of my experience here. Not a good one.Delicious tapas. Fair sangria. Mediocre prices. Horrible service. Took over a half hour to get our bill and pay. Found our waitress in the bathroom talking on the phone. twice.I've worked in the service industry, and there is nothing more embarrassing than having a coworker print your tables' bills. But, that's how horrible our waitress was. Had to be done.Thank god Tasca is close by, or else I would have to make a second trip to Bar Lola for my sangria fix.

My experience at Bar Lola was so bad."How bad was it?", you ask.It was so bad that I thought to myself "I need to go home and join Yelp, just so I can share with the world (or, at least, the internet) how truly abysmal dining out can potentially be.And you know what? Let's not even get into my beef with it's stupid, stupid name. I mean, maybe it's just me nitpicking when I talk about how profoundly idiotic it seems to actually have the word bar in the name of your bar (eg. Temple Bar, Bleacher Bar, Samba Bar [but not including The Greatest Bar, because... well, just because. That's just awesome.]) But at least most places with the word "bar" in their title have the sense toss it on at the end, so it doesn't sound completely awkward. But not Bar Lola. Let's just stick "Bar" right in the front there, so that the strange, uncomfortable feeling you get from the name prepares you for what you're about be served. We were seated promptly in the most nondescript dining room in all of Copley. Seriously, I wish I could remember something about this dining room, but it was so bland and boring that nothing sticks out in my memory.I then ordered a pitcher of Sangria for the table. The Sangria was actually really good.My excitement over the sangria was short-lived, however, because the food started to arrive. The crab cakes seemed like something I'd buy in an enormous box at CostCo, and deep fry when I'm in that special state where I'm drunk, but not too drunk to use my deep frier. According to the menu, these were supposed to come with "a piquillo-shrimp sauce". What I ended up getting was something more akin to the processed "cheese" you get when you order those little pretzel nuggets at the movies. The duck was incredibly dry.The rabbit was incredibly dry AND lukewarm... so at least it made the duck seem better by comparison. We also ordered the Patatas Ali-Oli, described as "Sautéed baby red potatoes with a garlic mayo". What I think actually went down is that the owners hired someone to ransack the dumpsters of local restaurants that serve breakfast and gather up all the stale, crappy, left-over home fries they can find so they can reheat and serve them.I wish I could tell you how the lamb chops were, but by the time they passed to me I'd lost my appetite completely. There is no other way to say this: Bar Lola is simply terrible. The worst of the worst. This is what happens when people decide to go somewhere for tapas other than Dali. Never again! Dali, please forgive me for cheating on you! I now realize what we had was something special! Please, take me back!

Checked this place out about a month ago. I like this place only because the only tapas spot I know in Boston is Tapeo and that place blows (small portions, big prices - weak). Bar Lola is a reasonable spot with very reasonable prices given the location (low on Comm). They have some outdoor and indoor seating - no happy hour that I could tell. Here's my quick ratings:Ravioli's - Duck confit stuffed raviolis with a creamy Curacao liquor amp; wild blueberries sauce, HANDS DOWN THE BEST THING I HAD, really goodCarne Lola - tenderloin in port reduction, goodChicken Skewers/Satay - goodAlbondigas - cool way to say meatballs, ok

This place has a very middle eastern feel to it. I'm a fan of hookah and the decor really makes me want to have it asap! Alas, nothing of the sort exists here. However, I love the outdoor seating and the intimate indoor space. The music is eclectic as well so it always keeps you on your toes. I will definitely be coming back to try their tapas. Located in Comm Ave, the outside seating is very conducive for summer time. However, considering we've had one of the worst bouts of rain and no sunshine, it's a real downer to see the place empty when I've almost always walked by it before and seen it full with people outside.Sunshine, where are you? I want to go to BarLola.

I went here with a friend on a quiet Sunday evening just for the Sangria b/c it really is that good. We got a pitcher and a decent array of tapas. Food was decent, sangria was delicious as usual, but the service was overbearing. They kept wanting to take away our plates before we had even finished eating! After telling the busboy that we were still working on it for the 2nd time, the manager brought over the bill. Could they have wanted us to leave fast enough?!?! The place wasn't even busy. We were going to get a second pitcher of sangria but since the bill was already on the table, we paid and left. so to sum up:overbearing servicedelicious sangriafood is a bit overpriced
by Rebecca R.
This is a fun place to hang out when it's warm and not too crowded, or you're not that hungry and it's empty. But the service used to be much sweeter and more attentive.I was here Friday night, was told a 15 minute wait, waited half an hour, got seated almost out the other side of the terrace in the dark in a strong breeze, then had to wait another half hour to order, then the head waiter and the server and a busperson came over and made a fuss and allowed us to move, then bread without any knives or dishes, then another wait while apparently waitstaff switched shifts... then the food and sangria all at once. They need to sort it out. None of the old waiters are there; the new ones were slightly snotty until we obliquely commented on it.My suggestions: red sangria, Langostinos Rebozados, Patatas Ali-Oli, Setas Silvestres, and definitely the Pinchos de Pollo a la Mostaza. The Pato con Naranjas Valenianas can go wildly either way - if/when I go back, I won't order it again. Although I still love the sauce.I do not recommend the Gambas al Ajillo (garlicky shrimp) at all. Unless you just feel like eating yummy, mushy garlic. Not shrimp.

My husband and I went on date last Sunday and I made this reservation because I have never tried tapas here in MA. Tapas to me means inexpensive, small plates. Our bill came to way more than anticipated. The empanadas were great, except I am pretty sure that they are the meatball dish wrapped in a tortilla. The chicken croquettes are a must have and the veggie cannelloni was very yummy. We also got to see some flamenco dancing while there, but it turned out to be a bit too loud for the small room we were in so we didn't stick around for the rest of the show. The sangria is also very nice, but they need to get new pitchers that pour better!!
by Mon T.
2 stars for great Sangria 1 star for nice decor don't eat there.... really nothing to write about the food. ;-) But nice place to have drinks and hang with friends!
by Rani G.
I've had tapas before and this place is probably dead last on my list to go eat if I had a craving. granted, i've been spoiled by the tapas of Madrid but it got 2 stars for the sangria and 1 for the food.My boyfriend and I were seated outside and the patio area has a nice ambiance but I dont think I would come here for a dinner but maybe just for a quick dish or two with sangria with a couple friends before going out. My favorite dish out of the menu was probably theChuletillas de Cordero Lechal which are baby lambchops. My least favorite dish was the Alas de Pollo con Mojos de las Islas...the chicken was over friend and the sauce was too bitter.
by Nicole M.
Finally I made it here!I met the owner one day while walking my boxer. Turns out, she has one too and said puppies are welcome anytime on the patio. That gets positive points in my book!Went to the patio on a gorgeous evening. Ordered the chicken empanadas, some veggie turnover thing, and then the veggie and cheese croquettes. Add a pitcher of sangria, one matador and one quijote and the night was complete.Food - decentSangria - yumdrinks - decentservice - a little sketch. We got the bill before we were even done, and it's not like there was a line of people waiting for our table. Waiter had no problem with us ordering more drinks, but I thought it was odd that he brought the bill over before we asked. And for what we got, it was kind of pricey, I think just under $80.Overall, I give it 3-3.5 stars.
by Heather W.
The food is great, but the service was lacking. Also, for a tapas place, this restaurant is better for larger groups. I went with one other person and we were practically yelling at each other because the dinning area was so loud. The prices were typical for back bay - not too expensive but not cheap either.
by K P.
Fun little place! Food is ok, but the sangria is awesome, and the service was good. The chicken croquettes were the one regret on the menu...I have these at every tapas place I go to and they're normally much better. Calamari was good, pork skewers were good to. Burgers were ok....Wouldn't recommend them.
by Karla U.
Trendy bar with lots of cute people here, so if you're looking to get laid, go here. I didn't like this place, wans't my style, they play Shakira too much....or something with Santana in it, or rap.......Again if you're into trendy stuff, check it out...I for one thought drinks were over priced.....but hey, do the Sangria, it seemed good, and the people that enjoy trendy things, seem to be having a good time. So yeah. Alternatives: Don't bother, you'll go nuts.
by Daniel L.
The tapas here are best enjoyed with a large group, as to get a good variety for your money here. If you're going with a small group (2-4 people), it gets a little spendy. The owner is jovial and talkative, and he isn't afraid to greet his guests. Try the white and red sangria. It goes well with the dishes, from sausages to bacon-wrapped shrimp.

What happened, Bar Lola? You used to be my go-to place for catching up with friends over tapas and wine, having a drink with a colleague after work, hanging out on the patio on warm nights, or just listening to a soft guitar and watching beautiful flamenco dancers. But after my experience last night, I just don't see myself coming back here any time soon. The food was so....blah. Each dish had less taste than the one before it. And, the worst part? The smell of garlic hanging in the air was so enticing I kept whipping my head around, trying to identify where its source was. Clearly there had to be something full of flavor somewhere. It just wasn't on our table. Chicken empanadas: so much breading that its dryness sucked all the flavor out of the filling. Stuffed crab (Xtanguro Gratinado): bland crab meat and a manchego cheese that was so mild it was like it wasn't even there. At one point my friend actually pointed to the bread basket with her knife and said, "The butter for the bread has more flavor than anything we ordered." I found the staff as friendly and efficient as ever, the decor is just as warm and charming, and the white sangria just as crisp and delicious. And I'm sure if it was warm enough to be on the patio, it would have been just as pretty as ever (and I always loved that they would turn on the heaters at your request). But the food...no, no, no. What a shame.

Went here back in September with a group of 10 ($35/person with a bunch of sangria - not bad). Fun spot! I usually don't like tapas places because the dishes don't appeal to me, even if we order a bunch for the table. However, this place totally turned me on to good tapas. Two thumbs up!Great dishes: grilled beef tenderloin ("Solomillo al Cabrales"), dates wrapped in bacon --omg so amazing ("Palmeritos"), garlicky shrimp ("Gambas al Ajillo")Not-so-fantastic dishes: burgers ("Hamburguesas de Lola"), crab meat and shrimp-stuffed calamari ("Calamares Rellenos")Tapas is hard to do at any restaurant with only a couple people...unless you know exactly what you like from there. This is a good spot for groups and couples alike based on the ambiance and layout. They have a good bar area too so you can easily wait for your party to arrive. I'll be going back to this spot - esp since it is so convenient on Comm Ave. They also have outdoor seating - which I'd love to check out when it's not frigid outside!

Best "champagne shooter/funnel" ever! I was a very lucky birthday girl to have 15 awesome friends take me to Bar Lola. If you decide to go to this yummy tapas place you must try this funnel! It's great! You get a bib and a lot of really funny pictures of your friends! The tapas are super yummy. Ones a recommend: Xtanguro Gratinado"Stuffed crab with crab meat sofrito, brandy manchego cheese," Langostinos Rebozados, "Prawn fritters with a savory mango scallion sauce, and Gambas al Ajillo Garlicky shrimp. This one was a little less appetizing... Calamares Relleno "Crab meat shrimp stuffed calamari." Sounds great, but... I think that says it all. This is the perfect place to go with a bunch of people price wise, if you go with 2/4 it can get a little pricey.

This is the perfect place to go with a bunch of people price wise, if you go with 2/4 it can get a little pricey.Went here back in September with a group of 10 ($35/person with a bunch of sangria - not bad). What happened, Bar Lola? You used to be my go-to place for catching up with friends over tapas and wine, having a drink with a colleague after work, hanging out on the patio on warm nights, or just listening to a soft guitar and watching beautiful flamenco dancers. What a shame. The tapas here are best enjoyed with a large group, as to get a good variety for your money here. If you're going with a small group (2-4 people), it gets a little spendy. The owner is jovial and talkative, and he isn't afraid to greet his guests. Try the white and red sangria. It goes well with the dishes, from sausages to bacon-wrapped shrimp.Trendy bar with lots of cute people here, so if you're looking to get laid, go here.
