I think Pharaohs is an acquired taste. The first time I went to it I thought the inside was tacky, the service cold, and the food decent. For whatever reason, I have continued to go back. The manager, head waiter, Mike is actually a great guy. He almost runs the place by himself and can seem a little stressed at times, but is an excellent waiter. He definitely rewards repeat business. I've tried the kabob, schwarma, and gyro plate entrees, and would say the gyro is my favorite, though they are all great. The lamb kabob is tender and tasty. For appetizers I would try the kibbe or haloumi. If you have never had haloumi before it's a salty, firm goat cheese - if you see it in stores it's moniker is the, "Cheese that grills". And, if you enjoy shishe, they have an outdoor patio where you can smoke. They have names for the hookahs and I think that blacky is the best, at least, the most recent. If that is taken, try whitey. If you do go, be prepared for a different experience than you are used to, and be patient with the staff, it's worth it.
