I had so much fun the other night! It was really packed and I think there was a room with a private party going on. We sat outside and just chilled :) The atmosphere was awesome. I love how it was soo laid back.Got an apple flavor hookah going, drinks to keep us buzzin, and a great group of friends. One of my friends in the group knew the owners and we got to meet them. They're super nice! I believe they had their own party next to us and they were having a ball! It's an awesome place to hang out with great company...perfect way to end a work filled week! :)

I am amending my review based on my most recent experience at Uptown Hookah on July 18, 2009.  I visit Uptown Hookah fairly regularly but on this night I was bringing some people from out of town for their first hookah experience.  I figured Uptown would not be crowded, it would be relaxed and a good first experience for my family.  We attempted to park the two vehicles in the empty parking lot.  After we parked and bgan walking toward the door, a guy approached us about paying $5.00 per vehicle.  It's not the money but I refuse to pay to park any place where I am coming to patron their business.  I'm coming to spend money at your business and you want to charge me to park!!!  WTF  That is the biggest pet peeve of mine.  And whats funny is that, there is a Sams Boat (over flow parking lot) behind Uptown where they charge $3.00 per vehicle and is only 10 feet away.  But there was no way I was going to pay $5.00 per vehicle.  I go in to talk to a manager and there is NOONE in there.  The place is completely empty other than the manager who is sitting at the bar talking to the bartender.  The manager tells me that they always charge and I tell him he is a lie because I come there regularly.  There was two other occassions that I have had this problem with Uptown.  On one ocassion, I told the parking lot attendant that I was not going to pay and that I would take it up with the manager.  He told me, dont worry about it, but had the nerve to say, "Well if people dont even want to pay $5.00 to park they probably arent going to spend any money in the business anyways".  The second time, I was going to meet a friend there on a Sunday night.  He arrived before me and was told he had to park.  Of course I told him not to and to wait for me.  When I got there I told the parking attendant that I was not asking him to valet my vehicle and that I wasnt going to pay him anything.  I told him that I was tired of them always trying to haggle money on the parking for an establishment that rarely has a crowd anyways.Well, with my family with me, it was a complete embarrassment.  I left and will never go back.  I can smoke narghili from Cafe Europe, Ya Ya Marys, Ranoush, or a few other hookah bars for free.  It's obvious we only go for the hookah as there is usually no crowd. Next they will be charging a cover at the doorWe ended up at Cafe Europe that night, and though it was a little more expensive, the accomodations were great.  Id rather pay more money somewhere else than pay to park in the parking lot of a business I am bringing people and money to. My wife and I go to this spot fairly regularly.  We try to go early (6pm - 8pm) when there is little…

Houston has potholes everywhere! Why would we need to pay to park in a pothole filled parking lot!? Guess times are tough, and hookah bars have it tougher. It's pretty dead inside. The music was top 40s.Went here the first night I was in Houston just to unwind and have a few drinks and smoke some hookah. I discovered something wonderful here...fantasia hookah. they had flavors ranging from caramel frappacino to candy cane!!! I really liked the mango flavor and purple haze. Mmmmm. The brand has over 20+ flavors, so i'll have to try them all! Luckily they're located in Anaheim. WOot woot!Drinks were pretty pricey. $6 bucks for my less than 6 oz well drink. *two thumbs down* Hookah was $10. Just sucked it up and didn't complain, especially since it had a been a long night, I was gettin' over being sick (after complaining about how i needed a nap and some nyquil) and I just wanted to relax with friends. My friend on the otherhand, ordered some hennesey and was convinced it was fake. I believe her, because any hennesey drinker would know. Later on, the waiter came over to talk and tell us how he's a Spanish English mutt with an accent...which he later told us was fake. wth?? Don't get why. But his service was great. He was attentive  to our needs and quickly came back with drinks when he got orders. anyways....he was wearing a pink belt and I thought that was uber cool. So....definitely would come back for the good service and FANTASIA tobacco. That is why this place gets 2 stars and nothing more!

This place is cool. I enjoy hookah's and they have a great variety of flavors. I went this past Monday night and had a blast.  I enjoy the cabana seating outdoors and the clientele that comes in as the night progresses. I have never ordered any of the food, but I've eaten their buffet enough times that I can say it's pretty good stuff. This place is extremely pricey on the drinks, which knocks it down a few stars. It shouldn't cost that much to get a few drinks here. However, given that it's always empty here, I guess they gotta make their $$ somehow. This place is great if you have a group, or people from out of town and you want to impress them with a hookah spot.

Not at all cool. I went last night with a friend already knowing I'm paying for overpriced hookah. I have my own and know how much it is just for the tobacco (super cheap). I understand though, they need to make their money somehow. So we walk into this strip club exterior looking place, it looked a little sketchy. The inside was actually quite nice but the outside, according to pictures looked like I had jumped into the movie Aladin. Too bad the picture didn't do it any justice. It was gross, there were huge holes in the "VIP" seat benches. The drapes weren't fully installed either. The place needs a serious makeover. We ordered half peach and half double apple which are my two favorites. We also ordered 2 tap waters. The waitress proceeds to tell us that they don't serve tap water to customers that do not order food. ummmmm are we in another country? My friend ordered a bottle of water and I was so angry I refused to get anything. Eventually I see a man running around, I introduce myself and come to find out he's the owner. I then start small talk then ease into the tap water issue. He said that they have that rule because 18-20 year olds come with 10 friends, smoke 1 hookah ($1 a piece) then order nothing else! That's no way to make money.... So after that, I understand. He got me tap water :) Not to mention the staff was very nice including the owner. I will not be returning.
